Petifours to die for! The dark chocolate melts in your mouth !!
    Cindy P.

Stopped in again for my usual petit four treats. Every time in nashville I have to make a stop to hermitage bakery. They're the best. Sweet strawberry is my favorite but the deep dark chocolate and smooth creamy vanilla are close seconds. My only problem is which to eat first.

Chocolate chocolate bon bons. Over 2 weeks and no mold... also took it apart and found a good amount of hair in it!

I've had an issue with a birthday cake from here before, but other than that, nothing much to ever complain about. But today got a couple of bon bons and a couple other things and it's so incredibly dry that I don't think milk would even fix it.... cake products here seem to almost always be pretty moist, but today got two different ones and they are dry as a bone!!! Utterly huge disappointment. I already know they don't make their icing in house but now I'm starting to wonder about other things. Just wanted to treat myself and daughter a very special treat and is just nothing near that. :-( Also, keep in mind that the icing they use in the bon bons and who knows what else is the kind you typically only expect in cream filled donuts. It's heavy. Also, as far as service, it is mixed. I do like a woman who works there, she went to high school with my mother. I'm not sure who the other one was/ if she was the owner or just another employee, but was really rude and short, didn't really want to help or seem to want to help. Her attitude that day is what stops me from going back in myself. And the hair in the icing really doesn't help either.

    End of day options

We stopped in & bought a couple boxes of cookies, cupcakes & other goodies to take home to our family; nothing lasted long. Everything was out of this world delicious and memorable! However, the gal who works there could use a class on friendly service 101.

    Happy hour specials

I've been to this bakery a few times over the last 3 or 4 years and I've never been blown away by the customer service. No one has been rude necessarily, but no one has just really impressed me. In fact, when I attempted to place a cupcake order for a baby shower a few years ago they seemed annoyed that I wanted to drop off specific baking cups for them to be baked in. Another time I attempted to place a cupcake order for a wedding shower and they were pretty blunt in telling me that they can't do dark red frosting because it wouldn't taste good. However, they didn't bother to offer any alternatives. I ended up placing the order with Publix because they explained they could "airbrush" the dark red color without affecting the taste. On a brighter note, the items I have purchased from Hermitage Bakery have always tasted good. No problem with the quality. On my last visit I purchased some red and pink heart shaped butter cookies for Valentine's Day and they were very yummy. I like that they have individual items for sale but also have some pre-packaged goodies available as well. Their petit fours and bon-bons are huge and look delicious. I can't wait to try one. On my last visit I saw a section for breads and such but there was no item's there so I dunno.......They have "Happy Hour" M-Th from 3-6pm with different treats at a special price. Happy hour does not apply on holidays. I'm sure I'll be back when a sugar craving hits, I just wish their friendliness was up to par with their sweets.

Chocolate chip cookies and sandwich cookie (no clue what it was actually named)
    Kristina G.

I was craving a good chocolate chip cookie so I figured I'd pop in and see if they had any. Guess what, I got lucky and they had some here. If your looking for a good chocolate chip cookie that isn't overly sweet, has a nice dispersion of chocolate chips and just the right amount of chew to it this is the place to go. The only downside about it is I just wanted 1 or 2 cookies but they only have them boxed by the dozen so I ended up eating 3 instead or the 2 max I had already given myself, the rest went on the table in the break room so I wasn't tempted to indulge in another one later. I also picked up this large sandwich cookie for my little cousin but seeing as he is 5 I don't think we will get a good assessment of the goods from him. :)

    This is what we got...

Have the store open when the sign on the door says it will be. Answer the telephone to receive orders.

On our last day before heading home to NC we got out early to be there shortly after they opened so we could have the best selection. Wow! I remember when the cronut became a huge thing and I took a trip to NYC to try them from Dominque Ansel Bakery. They are delicious. These from Five Daughters truly are so so good too! Plus they have more variety and I don't need a plane ticket! The service is very friendly and they didn't rush me making my choices. The interior is bright and welcoming and although they don't have any indoor seating there are some tables outside to sit and enjoy your treats. 10/10 I'll be back when I'm in Nashville or near any other Five Daughters locations again.

From the mid-1970s to the summer of 2023, this property hosted a deplorable Krystal, a Nashville expansion project from a Chattanooga-based chain in which I had no interest. But on July 19, 2025, Tim Hortons officially debuted the state of Tennessee's first location here (after a soft opening on July 1). And with that, they converted the old Krystal building from an irrelevant and dated restaurant to a bright and shiny destination for Tim Hortons fans! And now, I can get my Canadian donut fix anytime I want! Being Tennessee's first isn't the store's only accolade. It's the only Tim Hortons within the Nashville city limits, one of four in the Nashville metro all lying in close proximity in the eastern suburbs. And greatest of all, it's the only Tim Hortons in the first 1,648 miles (70%) of eastbound Highway 70, one of America's longest roads connecting Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. That makes it the westernmost Tim Hortons on all of Highway 70! And naturally, the Canadian maple donut is stupendous at this location.
