Friendly service. We were picked up from the Amtrak station in Hermann. The driver told us that he was taking us to a winery that we would really enjoy, we should have asked him which one. He took us to Adam Puchta Winery, next time I will tell him to skip that one. There really is nothing there to see. Wine tasting costs $5 to have a taste of 8 wines that are poured in a little plastic cup with not enough wine to even get a good taste. There is an overpriced gift shop there. I have a problem with the driver just taking us there and dropping us off at such a desolate place only to have to wait for him to come back to pick us up. (Wondering if the driver gets a kickback for taking people to Puchta Winery) If you know what and where you want to go, speak up and you will be fine. read more

This was about the most awesome group of guys one could ask for. They were kind, fun, and so accommodating. I caught the trolley from the train station and they took us to our hotel and then out for some wine hopping. They also made some recommendations on where we could find food, which is oh so important when you've been drinking wine all day. They were awesome. The next time I'm in town, I'm calling them. Total scam artists. No signs posted to explain the cost and they don't ask you for money until after you're already moving. Besides Stone Hill you can walk around most places anyway so save your money. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Hermann. We felt the trolley was our best option for DD during the Oktoberfest festivities. So we called Kevin to inquire. The first time we called him, he was talking with passengers and just left us hanging; however, we gave benefit of the doubt and thought he was really busy. The second time we called and gave him our pick-up point. Twenty (20) minutes later, we realized we weren't getting picked up, so we called again. We politely informed him that we were still waiting and he got confrontational and hung up on us. We ended up walking to the Stone Hill Winery to catch the trolley there, since it visited the winery often. We paid our $20/ ea and rode the trolley to downtown. The Oktoberfest festivities downtown wrapped around 11pm, but we called it the night at 10pm. We called Kevin multiple times and he would not answer his phone. We ended up catching a ride that cost us only $4. We would not recommend riding the trolley, if you plan to stay past dark. The Trolley website claims it will pick up in the evening; however, that is not the case. We could have saved ourselves $36 as this was a waste of money. Kevin needs to clearly post his operational hours on the website and inform his customers when the last pick-up will be. The professionalism is lacking tremendously, so ride at your own risk or you will be left stranded. read more

You can't get any better service than Kevin offers. Despite the many folks he shuttles around all day, he makes you feel that you are the most special & important customer he has, going out of his way to make sure you visit the wineries you want. We've used his service for two years in a row, and he was consistently awesome. Such a bargain--I honestly think he doesn't charge enough. It's nice not to have to worry about driving, to know someone who knows the area so well and who is only a phone call away He happily gets you no matter where you are staying in town. I'm definitely a customer for as long as he'll cart me around Hermann each year!!!! read more

If you are coming in on the Amtrak, BEWARE. Do not count on riding the Trolley! Their website says that there is "no minimum" but that is definitely not the case. My group of 3 came to Hermann via train on a Sunday and we were counting on riding the Trolley around. When we got there and inquired they said we had to wait for an hour to see if they got any more passengers. (Because apparently 3 is NOT enough). We thought this was terrible customer service and took off walking instead. There apparently IS a minimum amount of people for them to take out the Trolley. So if you have a small party, do not count on getting a ride. Worst experience ever!! The Trolley company basically has a monopoly on transportation in Hermann, so if they won't help you, you are literally stuck walking everywhere. We tried calling a cab, but there is literally only ONE cab that services the whole area and it was out of town. We also tried to Uber, but there is only ONE Uber driver in the whole town and he was unavailable. A lot of the wineries are NOT within decent walking distance. The Trolley company and Hermann in general needs to be more mindful of people coming in on the Amtrak. It is ridiculous to leave people stranded like this! read more

Unfortunately it is the only taxi sort of service after 5pm. Kevin was our driver for most of the day. He was clearly unhappy that he had to take us and pick us up from our B&B saying it was inconvenient and difficult for him. After clearing it with him, before he arrived to pick us up, that we wanted to eat down town and then go to Oak Glen winery, he didn't take us downtown at all. He took us to Oak Glen and insisted we stay there. He also told us they would pick up until 11pm but then told us at 10:08pm that we had to leave now or we wouldn't have a ride home. The winery told us they were open until 10:30 that night and the band was still playing. We decided to ride with Tiger who has way more customer service skills. Once we arrived downtown to drop off some customers we were told we must get off Tiger's trolley and ride with Kevin. My group expressed to Kevin why we did not want him to take us home and was told that even if we tipped Tiger $100, this was his trolley service and if we didn't get on his, we wouldn't have a ride home. We had to get a ride back with some ladies we met that happened to stay at our B&B. Buyers beware!! Several of the wineries said they had complaints about him. He promises a lot but does not follow through. read more

Kevin, the owner of the Trolley, is a horrible business person and I wouldn't absolutely not recommend using his trolley service. He knew that we were staying at a BNB about 5 minutes outside of town when he sold us our trolley bracelets. Then halfway through the day he refused to take us back up to where we were staying. It was the middle of the day, we had paid $20/piece (2 people) and he just flat out refused because it was "too far out" and not worth it. EVEN THOUGH WE PAID FOR THE ENTIRE DAY OF THE TROLLEY SERVICE. When we called and spoke to him he hung up on us and was a complete asshole. He just wants your money and doesn't actually care about if you get to where you need to go or not. The only way we were able to get back to our BNB via trolley was because the trolleys we got on were driven by other people who weren't rude and didn't refuse us service. If you come to Hermann I would recommend using the Lyft driver named Debbie. She is extremely reliable and incredibly nice. Her number is 314-467-0651. Kevin runs on his own schedule and is absolutely not reliable. If you plan to use the Trolley service I would make sure you have a plan B. Especially if you are not in a large group of people. Kevin is an awful person. read more

I was really disappointed with our trolley driver and his lack of professionalism today. Our ride to the first stop was fine. When we left Adam Puchta Winery, we were the only ones on board the trolley. We weren't sure that we wanted to go to Stone Hill, and we politely asked the driver where he was stopping after that stop. He launched into a lecture about how he couldn't operate as a taxi service, which was not something we were expecting. He basically made it clear that no matter where he was stopping next, he was dropping us off at Stone Hill. Later, we waited for the trolley after going to Hermannhoff. This was a warm day during the off-season, and again, my friend and I were the only ones at the trolley stop. The same driver stopped to pick us up. He was mad that there weren't other people there. He said he doesn't usually run to Oakglen unless he has more people. He got back on the trolley, and called someone. Then he got back out and said he'd take us to Oakglen, but he was clearly irritated about it. It's a 1.5 mile drive. I'm not sure why it was such a big deal. On the drive there, it looked like the driver was drinking from a Budweiser bottle. Then, we noticed he had a can of chewing tobacco next to it, so we're hoping he was spitting and not drinking. When we got to Oakglen, he told us we might be there awhile because he wasn't coming back until there were more people to pick up. We ended up getting a ride back to town with some people we met at the winery. Between the two of us, we paid $40 for the all-day trolley ride. Our driver was rude on 2/4 rides that we took. The next time we go to Hermann, we'll drive to the wineries. They're all within a few miles of each other. The trolley was not worth the money, especially considering the unprofessionalism displayed by the driver. read more

Worst service ever. The owner is rude and obnoxious. He hangs up on you when you need a pickup and doesn't follow through. Caught him talking on his cell phone while driving the trolley! Almost ran more then one person off the road. Not safe or not pleasant. Save your money and spend it on something else in town. read more

I called and spoke to Kevin on the phone (who is apparently in charge) the day before we came to town and he said to call when we got there and that we would have no issues being picked up. We got to our air bnb which is downtown on 4th street and called him and he was beyond rude. We told him our address and he kept asking what it was near... it's an air bnb next to trees and other houses!! Isn't this your job and the point of GPS?He hung up in the middle of the conversation. I decided to call back assuming we got disconnected but when he answered he informed me that he had hung up to take another call since we could not tell him what we were "near." I'm in a small town that I'm unfamiliar with, what am I supposed to say? Extremely unprofessional and ridiculous. I've always been happy using the trolley in the past so this is disappointing. After all this drama we finally got picked up (what do you know it was easy to find) and at 8:30pm asked to be taken to Oak Glen winery. This was refused, despite it being listed as a trolley stop, as it was "too late" even though it was the only winery open and it closed at 10:00. Don't waste your money or time with this pathetic company. We ubered or walked everywhere we wanted to go instead! I would never give a dime to this joke of a company again thanks to Kevin's unprofessionalism and I'll make sure to spread the word. read more

5 STARS-This is a must if partaking in the wine tours! You can ride along and see the great scenery and enjoy your wine. The Trolley is a good value for the $15 day pass. They were so accommodating, friendly and fun. We went on a Friday and it was not real busy but when we went down Saturday, they were packed. If you can go on a Friday the wineries are less busy. read more

The Hermann Trolley is probably my favorite part of the entire Hermann experience and trip! Not only is it nice for everyone to be able to enjoy tasting and drinking and not have to drive, but you can carry on your cooler, ride with windows down, and listen to music. More than anything their speed, efficientcy, and customer service is out of this world! The best part of the entire experience are the drivers - Kevin who I think owns it is awesome! read more

Totally disappointed! We really wanted to use the trolley to tour the wineries and breweries and was told in an email from them weeks before our trip that they would be running unless there was snow or ice. (I had even given them the dates we would be visiting.) When we got to Hermann on a Tuesday, no snow or ice, I contacted the trolley service wanting to go on their tour and was told that they would not be running until maybe that Friday which is the day we were leaving. Needless to say we did not get to visit all the local wineries and breweries which was one of the things we were looking forward to touring. I spoke to Kevin on the phone and he assured me the Trolley was open daily..I emailed twice and didn't receive an answer but I had bought train tickets already..When we called from train he said the trolley wasn't running..If I hadn't found a local cab service our trip would have been ruined. As we waited for the train for our return trip the trolley pulled up and the driver told people they didn't run Mon, Tues, Wed unless they had enough people to justify it..Be careful if you are relying on the trolley on a week day. read more

Friday 2 pm 12-11-15. As we got off the train, a man approached us and proceeded to tell us that the Trolley runs until 5 pm. Call us anytime and we will pick you up and take you anywhere. We then proceeded to walk to a gas station to use their phone in order to call the Trolley Service ( we absolutely had no phone reception/service). The owner of the gas station called the Trolley Service on our behalf, he began speaking with an employee of the Trolley Service and that employee asked the gas station owner why he was getting involved. The gas station owner proceeded to tell the Trolley Service employee to talk to me and therefore handed the phone to me and as I tried to communicate the Trolley Service employee hung up the phone and was unreachable for the rest of that evening. Saturday 9:00 am 12-12-15 we again had a Trolley Service man approach us as we walked into town and told us that we can purchase 2 tickets for the Trolley totaling $30.00 and he would take us to all the wineries which had included Stone Hill Winery. I told this man that we had already walked to the Stone Winery Friday night and would not want to revisit it today as well. The Trolley man told us it would not be a problem that when we arrived on the trolley at this particular winery just to stay seated and the trolley driver would take us to the last winery we had wanted to visit. So we did as we were instructed except the Trolley Service had refused to take us to the winery as promised but instead denied us the service that we had paid for. It was very disappointing for us, as an experience in Hermann, This left a very sour taste in our mouths but also a loss for the winery that we were going to purchase a case of wine from for Christmas gifts. I am sad to say the motto for the Trolley Service in Hermann, Mo which is we will pick you up and take you anywhere you want to go just give us a call we will be there is well....to be blunt a lie!! So, OakGlenn Winery, now you know that the Trolley service doesn't want to bring people out to your winery that is only 2 miles from town to buy a case or more of wine. How do you feel about that??? As it turned out, I insisted that I be refunded $10.00 because the Trolley service was fraudulent with telling the truth. The driver took the money from a pouch and flung it at me. ( My lady and I were composed and not ever spoke harshly). These are bad people to do business with. If you are going to Hermann, Drive yourself. Don't be lied to and don't let thugs like these take your money and not deliver. read more
