I've been buying rugs from Dave for 10 years now and he always helped me out with every new place I move into. Great selection and great quality! I've always been extremely satisfied with my choices I moved into a gorgeous new place a few months ago and needed a rug to really tie the room together, so he special ordered this abstract galaxy looking rug for me. At first I stupidly thought the rug was too big and was thinking of having him trim it down and re-bind it but Dave wisely advised me to move it under furniture and make sure it's centered. He said give it a few days and then decide. Good thing I listened cuz he was right! Once I truly centered it under couches and what not it looks awesome! I get plenty of compliments on it and reaffirmation from friends that it actually is the perfect size for the room. Trust me...You can't get this type of service or expertise from Wayfair or Home Depot and honestly, the pricing is VERY comparable I think.

I said I was moving in a month and would get back to him when I had more details, and when I did, someone came and picked it up the next day and it was back a week later (earlier than expected!!!). I was so anxious to see it when it came back, but was rolled/wrapped up so nicely that I knew to leave it that way for the movers. And I said "I vacuum them" and "I got them from my parents and they've never sent them off to a rug cleaner." Yelp reader, I was wrong. You need to have a professional actually CLEAN your rug. And so, I finally did. Boston Rug Cleaning was fantastic. Reasonable prices, rugs were done in about 2 weeks, good communication, and very pretty rugs- with no weird chemical cleaning smell. Also, it's like those ASMR videos of people cleaning filthy rugs and you're like "it was red this whole time?!" That's how I felt when the rugs came back and I unfurled them from their paper casings. The colors are so vibrant and evenly tufted. I feel like I've grown out of my family's incorrect conviction that wool rugs don't need deep cleaning - they really do! My lungs are happy! The weird smell in my house when we've been gone for a week is also gone! Anyway, it's work to move all the furniture away and roll up the rug, but definitely worth the effort (you need to sweep under there anyway, guarantee it). The company will pick up the rug but if you have a car it's not hard at all to take over yourself and save some $. They're on Rte 9 and parking was no problem- they also helped move the rugs in and out of the car. So happy with the service!

The sign on the door said open. But the door was locked. So I called the phone number and the owner walked over from next-door. I told him my price range was out at 12:50 for an 8 x 10 rug and he said no problem. He started showing me some absolutely gorgeous handwoven rugs. The owner is very experienced at rug sales. He used to work for the famous Abel rug company which closed a few years ago. After that he worked at the Bloomingdale's rug department. He is planning to close the store soon, and go back to his old job, because sales have been very slow during the pandemic. I chose two rugs and took them home on approval. PS-they only take cash or check, so make arrangements before coming in. Highly recommend getting over to this shop if you're in the market for a rug in the near future.
