My experience with this business is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I called them the wee before thanksgiving and asked if they could repair and clean my Bali blinds they said yes and that it would take one week. I asked if I'd have them back in time for Thanksgiving and the response was yes. One week later I called them and they said that it would be done in one week. I told them I had hoped to be getting them back in time for Thanksgiving. They said no it will be another week and that they'd call me. A week and a half later I called them and was told that it would take a week and that they'd call. I expressed to them that they had already told me that a week and a half ago. They apologized. I asked if there was some bigger issue that they weren't disclosing and they told me that a repair person would call me. Two days later after not hearing from them I went into their location and asked to pick up my blinds. They returned my blinds in the same condition in which I delivered them only with more dust on them. My item was not cleaned, not repaired and customer service was a nightmare. I understand that this is a small local family business, which is one reason I chose them, however they are an incredible disappointment. I cannot in good faith recommend such a business. read more

I called Heritage Window Coverings to come save me. I had purchased a new, heavier curtain rod and tried to hang it myself... The result was a disaster and after a short while, the rod was falling off the wall. They sent Shawn over to help me out. He was right on time, very nice, and did quick, clean work. Not only did he fix and hang the curtain rod, but he took the time to patch up the mess I made trying to hang it myself. I'm beyond thrilled with how it turned out and will definitely be calling Heritage every time I need to hang curtains (because I clearly should not be trusted to do it myself!) Awful! The owner has the worst customer service out there. Doesn't follow up on orders, lost my window treatment that they removed from my home. She doesn't care about keeping customers happy. She will tell you to go elsewhere. Do not go here unless you want to be mistreated. Hunter Douglas ended up having to reorder and remake my window treatment & I obviously had someone who wanted my business install it. I will be surprised if this place stays in business. read more

Not only were they professional every time they contacted me back and their price quotes were affordable but they were willing to work with certain time slots and my tendency to be somewhat high maintenance. We had Heritage Window Covering install shudders, shades and a patio sun shade. We waited extra time for a Saturday installation, and a few days before the said date, we received a call informing us that our order was in, and we needed to schedule an appt!! My husband called to inform them of our scheduled appt. They said they had no record of it. We finally were able to get 1/2 of the blinds installed on the scheduled date, but had to stay home from work a week later to get the rest of our order installed. The nice guy who came the first day, removed our old blinds, but the owner who came on the later date refused to take them. We also had them repair a fraying string on an existing blind. The owner quoted a price over $100.00, stating it included the transport from Santa Rosa to Novato. I asked how much without the transportation, and got a very different price. I asked the owner when the blind was repaired, to comp the $75.00 quote since they did not hold up their obligation on our original installation. He refused. I would not recommend this company to install or repair any window coverings you may have. The owner was completely unprofessional, an obviously does not care about costumer satisfaction. read more

Just terrible. After poor initial communication they showed up to the job and half the shades had the wrong fabric. During installation they drilled holes in wrong places all over my custom window casings in one room and put a huge gouge in the casing around the master bath window. They failed to tell me any of these things; it was only when I noticed it at the end of the job, as they were packing up, and I freaked out that they began offering lame explanations ("the drill slipped," etc.). I called the owner, very upset, and he proceeded to tell me he wasn't even sure he could get my remaining shades in the correct fabric because it might have been discontinued since the initial order. Wait, what??! Many weeks later I did get the remaining shades, at last. Then, within just a few months of that, the motorized shades (the batteries of which were supposed to last several years) ALL failed. I wrote to the owner and he didn't respond. I wrote again, and he finally wrote back saying it's not his problem, contact the manufacturer. Complete crap on every single level. Go elsewhere! read more

I contacted this company for a quote to measure for Hunter Douglas blinds and the girl quoted me $101. So I agree and scheduled them. The man showed up on time and measured the blinds. Then I got a bill for $171 - $70 to measure and $101 for the trip. I called and was given to someone named Hattie(?) who I assumed was a manager or the owner. She screamed at me about how hard it is to run a small business which I understand as I too run a small family business. She was to talk to the girls that give quotes and call me back. I paid the $101 immediately. She never did and would never return my calls so I finally gave up, split the difference and mailed a check for $35. Here almost a year later they are still billing me for the additional $35 - never returning my calls. I simply write my issue on the bill, mail it back and ask for Hattie to call. No one ever calls - I would never recommend them!!!!! Rude - feel sorry for their employees. read more

From the owners to the employees, they always put the customer first, go above and beyond to make sure the client is happy. I just had Heritage install some outdoor shades in a pool house that had some real architectural challenges. They came up with a great solution and did the install perfectly. They were friendly and professional throughout the whole process, so I would definitely use them again and recommend them. read more

Disappointing. The restring of our window covering went fine. However, in the process, they damaged it. When I pointed out the damage, their response was that that's why they have a damage waiver. No return phone call, no attempt to work out a reasonable compromise. Very disappointing - remarkably poor service for a local company. read more

This company has the worst customer service of any place I have ever dealt with. We took an expensive Hunter Douglas blind to them to fix the cord. When we got the blind back the cord was fixed but the top and bottom of the woven blind was destroyed. It looked like someone cut up the blind. The worst part is they said a manager would contact us but no one ever returned phone calls or was willing or wanting to make things right. They may have been able to fix the tears they put in the blind, but obviously didn't care much one way or the other about doing the right thing. read more

Five or six years ago my wife and I purchased window coverings for our former home. The friend of ours who referred the window covering company said to be sure to ask to have Noah do the installation. We did and could not have been happier. He was easy to work with, professional in his dealings and did quality work. In 2015 we bought a new home. It was then we learned that Noah had started Heritage Window Covering Services. We contacted him to remove all of the window coverings in our new home while the house was being remodeled, clean them, and later re-install them when the remodel was completed. Again we could not have been happier. Earlier this month we called Heritage again. This time we needed draperies and head rails removed and prepared for storage. Again, we we very pleased with their work. Giving Heritage Window Covering Services a five star rating and an enthusiastic recommendation is easy... Noah and his crew have earned them. read more
