Happy with my new blinds. I'm a nurse and I work night shift. In my new home, my bedroom has giant beautiful windows that face the sun the entire day. Not ideal for a daytime sleeper. I had regular blinds and blackout curtains. It wasn't enough. I researched blackout curtains online and found that Creative Window Fashions can install LightLock blinds by Hunter Douglas. I messaged them online, Tom the sales guy came by to measure the windows. He was very professional and answered all my questions. He did inform me I still may need blackout curtains. After a couple weeks my blinds came in. Robert came by to install them. He was also very professional and kind. He did a great job and I have no complaints! I really appreciate these guys. Update: I would say about 90% of the light is gone, a small amount light comes in at the bottom of the blinds. The channels that block the light from the top and the sides don't exist on the bottom where the blinds close. My window frame isn't perfectly straight at the bottom (I imagine most windows are not). So these shades do not give true black out. I will still need my black out curtains on top of it to get the room the right darkness. Still an improvement, not a perfect solution. We had not updated out blinds since moving into our home 16 years ago, but we had recently remodeled the kitchen. We booked an appointment and Tom, the professional sales and service person there, came out with books of colors and ideas. He and my wife picked wonderful colors for new Hunter-Douglas Blinds, that effortlessly work with a remote control that is mounted on the wall, and more than match the kitchen. This is the second time we have used Creative Window Fashions. Robert just installed 4 Hunter Douglas solar shades. They look amazing and the quality is much better than the Levolor solar shades we installed ourselves on a few other windows. We love the metal chains that are solid and heavy duty metal brackets. We are very pleased with the Hunter Douglas blinds we purchased from Creative Windows. Tom did an excellent job of explaining the options to us and measuring the windows. We were not sure we liked how the cords looked, so Robert told us about the H-D "Right Choice Promise" if we decided we wanted to choose a different lift style. Creative Window Fashions in Rohnert Park again came through for us by repairing one of our Hunter Douglas honeycomb up-down shades, which we purchased from them 2 yrs ago, after it had become inoperable. They are a busy shop and couldn't get to us for the repairs for about 3 weeks so I removed the shade from it's position, delivered it to their store late last week and got a call this morning that it was already fixed.
