My dad is dying... I would recommend Paintbrush Assisted Living over and over again. I have never…read morefelt more taken care of and have had this much peace of mind over my dad's condition due to the incredible level of care he has received here. Last year my dad entered Paintbrush after a hospital stint and within two months, he was so happy and doing so well. He decided to check himself out of Paintbrush because he thought he was healed, but Paintbrush was actually keeping him alive and healthy. Six months later, my dad had a severe brain bleed and was in the hospital for a month and then put on Hospice. I contacted Paintbrush in complete distress and Rueban remembered all the little details about my dad and who he is as a person and even visited him in the hospital multiple times. He completely took care of the situation and recommended the best Hospice team. When my dad entered Paintbrush he was unable to speak or stand. I was told he was not going to make it for another month but at the rate my dad is going he might go on for a very long time. He's so happy and he's talking and laughing with the med techs. They remember all the details about him, including what he likes and how he takes his medication and just monitor his overall well-being and mood. Visitor hours are at any time, which is so helpful for me because I live out of town and often will come see him very late at night. The food is like a four star restaurant, every time I see my dad eat dinner I am blown away by his meals. Everything is kept really clean, and my dad is on the highest level of care, so they check in on him constantly. They directly communicate with the Hospice team when anything goes wrong... my dad has fallen a few times and has had other issues and right away they communicate. I live in Los Angeles and I had no idea what to expect with care in Fresno and I would send absolutely anyone's parents here or loved ones. It's hard for me to be in town all the time so it's very important for me to know he's taken care of and treated with dignity. Thank you so much, Paintbrush. Your work makes a difference in so many people's lives and saves lives including my Dad's. Oh and interior! It almost reminds me of a Disneyland resort when you walk in. It's SO NICE and happy.

Our mother has a 2 bedroom apartment and is basically an independent resident (96). However, when additional care is needed it is there and my family has peace of mind. (Note: I was an independent resident at the Terraces for almost 6 years before needing to use this part of the Terraces continuous care organization so I may be a bit biased.) I came to skilled nursing a bit groggy after 3-4 days at Fresno Surgery Hospital up the road on North Fresno St and immediately felt at home. I got a private room with a button I could push to bring a caregiver quickly with a cup of coffee or to otherwise administer to my needs. It was quiet at night (thank God!); good nutritious meals came on time, therapy sessions started immediately, and all personnel were pleasant professionals. Speaking of personnel, I'd like to mention a few who stood out: caregivers: angelic Erika; quiet and hardworking Shandir; exuberant, funny Brandi; quiet no-nonsense Angi; outgoing Agnes, with Nigerian accent at beautiful dress; and fast working Carol were all exceptional; nurses, engaging Nani, quiet Mckenzie, heavy metal lover Ozzi; physical therapist, funny, quick-witted John and occupational therapist, Chase, with a dry sense of humor. My sincere apologies to workers I've somehow forgotten in my current slight fog. I plan to begin outpatient physical therapy there with Clara (?), soon. I have no complaints with my Skilled Nursing stay. The folks there did all they could do, in my view, to prepare me for independent living and the slow recovery of my back and legs.
