My three year old son and I walked into the office to request a tour of the storage facilities. The manager had a large unleashed dog on the premises that was aggressive towards my son ultimately making my son cry. While I will not demonize any bread of dog, this dog was about three times my son's weight and almost as tall. The dog was bumping him with his nose / head and sniffing him aggressively, a clear signal the dog was in distress. Despite my attempts to get between my son and the dog, the dog continued to walk around me to get to my son and also growled at my son. My son stood still as he was taught. When I finally picked my son up because he was starting to cry even louder, the dog kept standing up on its hind legs to continue the aggressive sniffing, despite my efforts to block the dog with my knee. My son was quite upset by this time as the dog would not leave him alone. I asked the manager to control her dog, but she was unable to. She blew some whistle that had no impact on the dog, but she never made any effort to stop the dog, verbally or physically, beyond blowing the whistle. When we finally squeezed out the front door blocking this dog inside, the manager stepped outside to speak with us. I told the manager that she has no control of her dog, to which she replied the dog is not hers. She then clarified that the dog is in her possession as the dog's owner recently passed away. Finally, she stated that we (as in my son and I) were the first problem. What great tact, though I am sure she was trying to say she has not seen such behavior from the dog before. I had to remind her that she had no control of the dog and therefore has no business letting the dog run free. Obviously, we do not plan to rent here. This self storage is clean, well maintained and secure. Very high quality storage. Lisa really cares about this place 24/7 It's very reasonable for everything that is included. Nice to not have to worry about our things. read more

Wow I was surprised when I drove to get my stuff and they have a sign stating they will be closed for three weeks and the hours changed to week days and will not be able to get my stuff ! They are expanding and I pay the price ! When I asked if the 700 a month I'm spending for three units will be discounted the answer was no , Lisa the gate would be open on the weekend on the side on three occasions I came & the gate was not open asked to speak with manager and Lisa finally got back to me and said the company could change there hours of operation at any time NEW situation in February We had a terrible experience at this establishment we had paid our bill on time and we had been a patron of this establishment for over nine months and then we went to our storage unit and found out it had been broken into so we went to Lisa and explain to her that the lock had been broken, and our storage unit had been injured and she was surprised unbeknownst to her and her security system. It was five days prior to her, even knowing that our storage unit had been entered once we had told her that she said she would look at the security unit and get back to us. Our unit had damaged property inside we asked for the police report she refused to give it to us, we asked for a credit because the lock had been damaged. She gave us a replacement lock, and then the sliding material that the lock goes on to keep the storage unit safe was damaged. She never replace that she never gave us a credit. she was hostile with us when we asked for all of this, so we asked to speak to the manager, and she refused to let us speak to the manager. This was not the first situation, because when they were remodeling the whole facility, there was not a security system in place. The gate in the back was down so the fence you could enter. We have pictures of this, and there was never access to our unit for several weeks we couldn't get into that because the gate was not allowed I would highly recommend anyone doing any type of business with this establishment. They are crooked they cheat people, and they never allow you to speak to the manager , Lisa is afraid of getting in trouble. She's not trust worthy and you would never ever want to do business with this company. Thank you. read more

Heritage has been a great place to store our personal belongings as we get settled in California. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Heritage. I made a reservation online but was then told they have there own waitlist on site and my reservation would not be honored. I was upset because I had let another space go because Heritage was closer. Manager was very rude and hung up on me. I was upset and she kept talking over me so I probably talked louder. Her reply when I called back was that I would be placed on a list to not rent to because I called back. Asked for owner or manager number and was told wasn't one. They said calls are recorded so hopefully someone will listen to it and see what really happened. HERITAGE Why have an online reservation system if you are not going to honor it? What if I had showed up with my stuff? Not a good way to do business. read more

This place raises the rent every six months they say they mail notices out and they don't I know 4 ppl here that I referred and none of them have gotten notices the increase $93. -$100 rent every six months with out any notice thank they lock you up if you don't pay the different .now I know why 36 customer have left. And I don't understand why have a lease if they won't honor it not giving a 30 day notice is wrong but yet they expect you to give them a 30 days notice I most definitely will not be referring any business to them it's just plain wrong bad business!! read more

This is one of the most disturbing businesses I've ever had the chance to work with. After almost 5 years of storing my three vehicles there, the place was sold to Heritage storage. The old owners made a lot of mistakes, but they were always willing to make things good. The new owners are an absolute nightmare. They said I was late on payments, then said their records were wrong and I had a credit...on and on, saying the old owners records were a mess, and to please be patient while they audited my account. I offered a good faith payment while they straightened out their mess, they declined. Then suddenly they said I owed for three months plus late fees! After waiting on them to give me a correct bill. Going from bad to worse, they then said "get your vehicles out and we'll call it even" I soon found out why; All three of my vehicles had been damaged and burglarized. They blamed the old owners, saying that police records show 20+ break ins (no one bothered to mention this to me) A lot of very valuable items were stolen...even parts off of my vehicles. I live 3 hours away, so I was not able to check up on my vehicles while stored. After towing two vehicles home and seeing the damage & theft I demanded they send me pics of the third vehicle before it was towed. They literally hid the damage under a drop a cloth so I wouldn't see it in the pics. I refused to remove the last vehicle until I could inspect it for damage/theft. They then had the nerve to threaten me with legal action if I didn't immediately remove it (of course so they could deny the theft/damage happened there) Lawsuit on the way...apparently they have a long list of people that had similar experiences. Yes, the old owners made mistakes, but these new owners are predators! This place isn't just dishonest, it's deeply corrupt! Can't wait to see the excuses the owner Matthew responds to this review with...I just wish he cared as much about his business practices as he does about his Yelp reviews. I should also add that the owner is desperately adding and changing his response to this review in a malicious attempt to spin it. Bottom line; I paid for 5 years of vehicle storage, got them back damaged and burglarized. No apology, just an attempt to deflect blame and threaten me with legal action. read more

This place just gets worse and worse. When I signed up for their most expensive unit, they said it had to be an automatic debit. Then then billed me twice for the same month and it took 11 days to reverse it. I was then told by the rep she would give me senior discount to compensate, which I should have been offered to begin with because they knew I was a Senior to begin with. When I called to pay the latest, which was one day before the due date, no one knew about the "discount", but did bill me at the senior rate. Today when my son tried to access the storage, there was a second lock and he couldn't get in until he gave them another 19.00,with no explanation why. I have tried repeatedly to find out who the actual owners are, but not even the Chamber of Commerce could find out. This is a terrible way to treat a customer that always paid on time, who you double billed and took a week and a half to correct something that takes two days, and I do plan to file local complaints about their business ethics. The lack of transparency is troubling, and my honest opinion is they needed some quick cash and decided to double bill everyone, then completely reneged on what they offered as compensation. read more
