Our roof was a difficult project and was a lot of hard work for the crew. Lots of cutting and fitting of concrete tiles. My only disappointment at completion was the appearance of the mud balls that had to be used to avoid leakage in places. I contacted them to see what could be done and they were able to paint them, which looks a lot better. My suggestion to future customers is to discuss your preference regarding concerns like that prior. Staining the mortar to match the tiles could insure they look nicer over the long run and also asking them to trowel the balls down a little flatter to blend in with the tile height would help hide them better. The crew was very efficient, polite and brave to be working on a house that drops off a cliff 3+ stories high. read more

This review is not intended to reflect negatively on the roofers that did our repair, they were great - but on Heritage themselves. At then end of the day, no matter how you stack it, Heritage charged me $3500 for what amounted to two people spending less than two hours on my roof. They really only needed to spend an hour, but I insisted they do some extra promised work. Heritage held their ground, demand that I adhere to the contract and pay what accounts to a labor rate of $750 per hour or so. Absurd. A good contractor would have concluded -- "Hey, we didn't need to do as much as we though, we can save you some money". I'm quite sure if they needed to do extra work, they would have charged me more. As far as I can tell, they are just behaving as over priced brokers -- better to reach out to the actual people doing the work. I wouldn't use them again, personally. read more

The worst roofing contractor I could have hired. Had to reinstall my concrete tile roof twice, after the initial job. I had to drag him through the ROC, which turned out to be no use b/c they don't know tile roofing. Final job is worse than the first. I cannot let him finish the job. Lynch and staff had no idea about the great Tile Roofing Institute installation manual that gives pictorial steps to doing the job. It is very explicit and it is required to be used by Eagle Roofing tile manufacturer. Here is a short list of specific failings. 1. The roof leaks beneath my front porch. Can't go in or out when raining 2. Blue tiles on one side of roof, instead of contracted red/brown tiles. 3. Exposed nailing boards, not covered with Solite weather blocker as required or wrapped by underlayment. 4. Mortar instead of the required flashing in many places, including top flashing on penetrations. 5. Crushed gutter corners around the home, leaving leaks. One down-comer is blocked and water shoots out the sides. 6. No flat tiles beneath the hip starters, as required by manufacturer instructions. Water leaks onto underlayment. 7. Holes in the wood sheathing after moving Roof vents to other locations. 8. The valleys are very unsightly, tiles run into each other, violating AZ ROC standards. No clean spacing between tiles. 9. Black tar on a wall. 10. At least three broken main tiles. 11. Many chipped tiles, some larger than a quarter 12. flashing too short up the sides of the chimney above tile. 13. Broken tile beneath the rooftop fan plate and others beneath the front porch overhangs. 14. 3-rib valley metal is missing 15. Did not raise tube skylight when installing tile roof. 16. Mashed up pipe flashing around the home, doesn't lay flat on roof. 17. Underlayment isn't peel and stick as required 18. improper or absence of flashing and tiling around electrical conduit penetrations 19. Exposed underlayment 20. Broken hip tiles, patched instead of replaced 21. Broke 3 natural stone pavers by throwing broken roof tiles on them. read more

I hired Heritage Roofing to replace my entire roof three years ago. Approx. two weeks ago I noticed one of my roof tiles had fallen off. I looked up and saw that the fascia it was was rotted. I called Heritage and they came out and gave me a price to fix it, but I thought it was something that should have been replaced when my roof was done three years ago and therefore went with another company to fix it. The workman pointed out several areas of plywood were rotted away. He said there was no way that type of rot could have taken place in three years. Over the worst area, Heritage had nailed down a piece of flashing over the rotted wood, and then covered it with the roof liner. Do not use this company. read more

I live in a HOA and we have rules in place for reasons. Such as work start and stop times. Your workers rudely throwing , banging and yelling in spanish all day. I who have love three doors down they have been at it since 6 :35 am and still at it 6:35 pm. Unreal I have reported your low class business to Homeco and City Zoning. 9 am -5 pm in this HOA. Obviously the selfish young lady who owns and rents this home has no respect for her neighbors so why would she hire a reputable and respectful company. I'm not the type of person to give out 5 stars as I'm always thinking things can be learned from other jobs etc. However I'm very happy with what Heritage Roofing did on my homes needs of a new roof from seasonal monsoon storms and the great hail we are blessed to getting, the shingles were definitely damaged which I was shown at the very beginning when the owner of Heritage, Steve I think was his name, anyways he asked if I wanted to see what all damage there was. He was totally right about most of the shingles were almost without any covering. Upon me calling to get a quote, Steve was prompt even with me being way out here in Cordes Lakes. Spent all the time needed with answering my stupid questions etc so I wasn't rushed to get the quote and him leave right away. I really appreciate that as it shows he's really sincere and genuine. His crew showed up on time every day and never slacked off. They worked nonstop. Steve did show up a couple of times making sure that things were going ok and if I had any new questions. I wasn't expecting him to show up as I had no appt scheduled but rather he just did drop in's on his own accord. Again living in Cordes it's normally to far out of they're way to do such a thing. Now if I was to give any suggestions to Steve I think that beings so far out that he'd have his crew out here in a shorter working days. If I recall correctly, his crew worked about 4 or 5 hours each day but did get a lot done during this timeframe. I totally understand about going to Church and personally I think it's great. So I give a pass on that for short working hours on that day. All in all, I'd not hesitate on him and his crew working on my families homes and trust me I'm very picky on that. That's just a testament on his quality of workmen's ship and ensuring things were done right. He came in under his estimate so he was honest about the charges. Nice since many contractors never come in under estimate but rather they find something needing to be done thus increasing their price. We were away for a bit and came home to find clay tiles had broken away from our roof. As it was just before monsoon season, we were desperate to get the repair completed as soon as possible. Heritage Roofing had a guy out to inspect the damage and provide an estimate within 4 days of our initial conversation and once we approved it, the work was completed within a week. Had an appointment set up for them to come give me an estimate, they were an hour late and when I text them to see if they were still coming they said yes they were in at appointment but they were on their way. Last summer, we became aware of severe wind/hale damage to our roof, in the middle of doing another big project. After contacting almost all the roofers in Prescott, we were able to get a handful of quotes and more importantly, a time estimate for the completion of the roofing repairs. Steve Lynch, the owner of the business, had just completed a roof job ion our friend's home in our neighborhood. Our friends were very pleased with his work, professionalism and sticking to the terms of the contract. No add on costs and other nonsense some contractors come up with. We narrowed down our choices to two contractors, based on their responsiveness, time table to start and finish the job and price. We liked both contractors, but since Steve had just finished a job at our friends' house and left good impressions with them, we signed our contract with him. Steve did everything he had promised and more. He even started a few days earlier than he said he would, which gave us peace of mind, since a portion of our roof was totally exposed to the elements and the monsoon season was just around the corner. His crew worked like a Swiss watch in removing the old shingles and immediately covering with paper. The lead person kept a close watch on the weather and worked extra long hours on certain days to make sure no part of the roof was left exposed before they left. At the end of their work day, the crew picked up all the debris and ran a magnet around the house to catch the fallen nails. In the middle of the project, I asked for a few changes, like adding an extra roof vent and removing two sky lights. Steve took care of the extras without nickel and diming me. All in all, our roof was completed in time, looking better than the original. Steve showed up periodically and checked on his crew to ensure the job was getting done to his standards. He always checked with us to see if we had any concerns. His professionalism, follow up and attention to details were second to none. Overall, we were very happy with Steve and his crew. Heritage installed a new roof. In so doing they drove nails through my ceiling. When I brought this to their attention a guy came in, cut the nails off and left black handprints on the white ceiling. No apology. They knocked off for the weekend and left roofing nails all over the place; the kind that are always pointed up. My wife and I cleaned them up. When the workmen returned they were impressed. Instead of working on my roof one of the guy was off hustling side jobs. He put a roof on my neighbors house lol. Good luck. There was no walk around after the job was "finished". The driveway was littered with nails. I lost a new Michelin tire. The roof leaked every time it rained. I asked Heritage to address these things on numerous occasions. They came out a few times, then they just quit coming. Debbie, the poor gal that has to answer their phone, will verify this. Run away from this company Heritage Roofing. They hire green roofers that do NOT know what they are doing. Not using local workers but cheap Phoenix area laborers. The owner seems simple and nice but very shady and Not professional. Lied from the start about everything from the workers to materials. My roof was hacked on, boards that needed replaced were not replaced, mold around my chimney was hurried and covered up, my drip edge was installed incorrectly, they broke one of my trusses by slaming down heavy rolls of felt onto a board that needed replaced. There were tears in numerous shingles and they did not even remove the plastic strips under the shingles so they would adhere to each other. My chimney flashing was installed with no craftmanship what so ever. I am still cleaning up my yard from debris and nails from the job. The foreman Troy was a twichy idiot absolutely worthless at his job, the owner would not return our calls, vanished after we signed a contract. The women in the office clueless about everything. If you need a roof done get a professional roofer not these Hacks! I have pictures of everything and then some of the descriptions that I have stated. read more

My first experience with Heritage Roofing was a leak on my patio. Steve came out and gave me a very reasonable price to do the repair. The roof on my home was 20+ years old. I listened to the sounds the roof was making as Steve moved around. It was almost a "squishy" sound on a sunny hot afternoon. I asked Steve about the sounds the roof made as he moved around. He said my leak was a warning. The young man who came out to do the repair, did a very good job. He also cleaned up what he took off the roof. It's wonderful to find a company that takes care of the repair and charges a fair price. This past December, 2020, Heritage put a new roof on my house. It's BEAUTIFUTL! The 3 roofers that installed the new roof worked hard and got the job done in a few days. They answered any questions I asked, and really did put on a very nice looking roof.
