I was a bit baffled when it popped up in my internet search, but it does deliver on the premise: this is an aesthetically interesting and unique water feature that is worth looking at. The area connects with some local trails and has some picnic facilities. A gravel road and parking lot immediately adjoin the falls. The water was not overly clean, and there were bugs aplenty, so be prepared.

Of course, I got beat bad but it started my hunger for this sport. Here are some specifics on the course. 18 holes. Paved tees Disc catchers Good signs showing terrain, distance, and par. Landscape is beautiful. Great variety of distances: 150ft to almost 700ft. Great variety of terrain and obstacles: large hills, trees, bushes, creeks, and an occasional runner. If you are an experienced disc golfer, you will like this course. If you are a new disc golfer you will like this course. It doesn't matter If you are playing by yourself or with a group, you will have a great time. If you just want to throw and get some exercise, you won't be disappointed. There are bathrooms in the middle of the park so you can bring young kids too.

A bargain of a spot for $3 a day as there is a great beach, kayak rentals, changing facilities all on the beautiful Saginaw bay. We saw jet skis and a lot of boat trailers so there must be a launch nearby. There was also campers and tents with people enjoying a pure Michigan day.

My friend and I just wanted some where to float and chat. She repeated like 15 times while we were on the lake.... "I really like this spot". Bathroom were clean and didn't smell any odor - definitely a plus in my book. Please note - recreation passport is required; it's a honor system if you don't have one. The thing that really stuck out to us was how well the whole area was taken care of. The gating was clean, no spiders or cobweb's hanging anywhere, as is the case most places. And for someone who hates spiders. I can't tell you how much it's appreciated. If you are looking for pricing. It's $10 a person $2 for students. Or $20 a year per person. We had purchased a day ticket. But after 10 minutes knew that we had to change that. So before we left we went and purchased the year passes!! This also includes the Dow Gardens

But. The staff are horrible, actively hostile to swimmers. They stand on the shore and scream that "you shouldn't be near the rope!" meaning the roped off swimming area. Um, hello? We swimmers have maybe 1% of the whole of Mott Lake to swim in, and they have nothing better to do than yell at people who are swimming close to--but not beyond--the designated area. If the concern is that someone could drown, the water's over one's head even halfway to the buoy. Plus them standing on the shore screaming won't rescue anyone while a swimmer absolutely could. Hey Bluebell staff, stop being such useless lowlifes.
