I needed to purchase a set of bifold doors for my new rear extension. I contacted David Wright at Heritage Installations Ltd as well as Surrey Double Glazing Ltd.
Near the end of October 2013, he quoted me for the bi-fold doors, and stated that delivery would be around 3-4 weeks. I paid a deposit of £1,000, as requested.
The rear extension was available for the first survey on 3rd December, but he only made it onsite on 11th December. The doors should have been ordered from the manufacturer at this time, but with Christmas they wouldn't be ready until first week of January.
January 2014 came, and I tried many times to contact David, very unsuccessfully.
Finally, I made contact and was told the doors would be available the week after. Again after many failed attempts to contact David, he replied saying the doors would now be available the week after.
On 10 January 2014, David confirmed a date that the bi-fold doors would be delivered on Tuesday 21 January 2014. However this did not happen.
A considerable amount of time had now passed since the original booking; 7 1/2 weeks since the onsite survey and ordering of the bi-fold doors. During this time the building work had been forced to completely stop, because the contractors were unable to proceed any further until the bi-fold doors were installed. This cost me in delays.
Thankfully, the doors were finally installed at the end of January 2014. The doors have now settled into their position do not lock properly. I've tried contacting David to resolve this problem, and no response whatsoever. I've tried phone and email. Very poor service.
The main reason for this review was because our dealings quickly became untenable due to his constant lack of response to my emails and telephone calls. I would not use or recommend this company. read more
