It took 5 times for them to get it fixed correctly and that spanned out months. Then a second already brown spot in the ceiling further back in the dining room had to be fixed. It took 7 times and that spanned across several months. The basement flooded twice and this time they ripped the walls and carpet out and it's been that way for over a month. I had a mold inspection conducted after they would not have one done and there is toxic mold here. We have been in this house for over a year and we signed another lease because of Covid. Now we have been in here breathing toxic mold for over a year. I sent them my 14 day notice as suggested in the landlord tenant handbook and cited it according to the law. Their lawyer sent me a letter and magically they think they can get this done. They won't be able to because the city will block them. The lawyer even threatened that I could be responsible for the damage here. What? Now I lawyered up. I have 4 kids in here and there are little. This could affect their whole lives. My head hurts. My lungs hurt. I work full time inside the house. There aren't many rentals due to Covid. Stay far away from Havenbrook Homes. They will do nothing but take your money and then continue to try to take advantage of you and take more money. For months, I repeatedly reported ongoing pest intrusion, moisture/mildew concerns, water issues, and incomplete repairs. The home has had repeated pest problems including scorpions inside the home, ants, spiders, wood beetles, and wasps entering through unresolved openings and gaps identified by vendors. Despite numerous service requests and inspections, many repairs were incomplete, poorly performed, or marked "completed" when the issues still remained. Pest treatment was never actually completed after inspection, appointments were repeatedly missed, and I constantly had to rearrange my schedule for vendors who often failed to properly address the root causes of the problems. There were also ongoing concerns involving mold, air quality, and water odor issues that took months to partially address. Overall, the property was NOT properly maintained and the ongoing concerns were NOT handled appropriately despite repeated notice and extensive documentation. Also this property was not inspected prior to my move in. The home was dirty, dead insects on the floor, baseboards chewed up by previous tenant's pets and the list goes on.
