I was living in California and every time I'd get back to the east coast, she'd suggest going here. Unfortunately, we never got to experience a visit here together after she suddenly passed from an aggressive cancer. It became my goal to come here and visit with her on my mind. Years later, I moved back to the east coast and booked a random weekend just for fun. I'm married now with kids so we made the drive here to experience all that the Omni had to offer. I've stayed at other Omni resorts and I wavered on what this place would land on ratings wise. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a lot of history that I loved learning about. My kids absolutely loved the indoor pool. It is as gorgeous as the photos look. It's a nice spot, especially when it's a chilly Pennsylvania day like when we visited. With that said, there isn't a ton to do here with kids. It was the perfect amount of time for us, but met other families who were struggling to keep their own kids occupied. There are some really nice trails around the property, which are perfect. And you can also check out some free toys and games from one of the shops inside. That said, if you don't have great weather, options can be limited. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa, but the space looks amazing from what I saw online. The rooms were spacious and well set up for a family. We ate at a few of the restaurants on site. Service was mostly on point though the tavern was really off. Our server was perfectly friendly but pretty much messed up the entire order. I would go back but not sure I'd be eager to rush back anytime soon. We did enjoy the experience but I think a few bumps could be worked out such as helping with our luggage upon arrival. We were able to valet but couldn't find anyone to help us with the bags and the rolling carts don't easily go over the front door to get inside. Between me and my partner, we were able to make it work. But it's those small details that make a property really stand out.

Afterward, we had lunch at the Frontier Tavern, and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff we interacted with went above and beyond to make our visit special. From the spa to lunch, the entire experience was memorable and truly exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, and we can't wait to come back again.

They were so accommodating and generous with their hospitality that we felt like we were friends! Complimentary tea, coffee, beer, and wine, homemade cookies (the bourbon cookies, wow!), and treats were just awesome! The warmth of the fireplaces and the Christmas decor just added to the ambiance of the inn along with the general decor as well. The inn itself has a long history as does the area around it (I had no idea that there were so many fort-lets from the French and Indian War and ties w/a younger George Washington there) that there's a lot to see and read up on. The owners have a lot of pride and passion for the inn and it shows in all the pictures they have of the restoration of the structure and the publications of the area and the property it's on and in the conversations we had! Truly a good place for those interested in talking/seeing history! BTW, the breakfast here is no joke with large portions and second helpings offered! They will accommodate any diet or dietary restrictions (I'm vegetarian, my wife isn't) and they made us the best meal we've ever had at a bnb or hotel!

The 2 bedroom villas are supposed to be able to sleep 6 if you count the pullout sofa. DO NOT count the pullout sofa as an option - it's the worst bedding ever. I called the front desk and they explained that all the villas have the same bedding so bring an inflatable mattress if you need to sleep 6. The pillows provided were definitely poor, but the sheets were fair. Overall, I am writing a mediocre review because the pullout sofa was one of the worst possible sleeps I have ever had. Wifi service is limited to one device which was a negative. We noticed the majority of the light posts were not working. We walked back from the wedding and the road was dark even though there were numerous lights- they just weren't working. Location was great because we could walk to the conference center for the wedding on the outdoor terrace. Service was good although if I would have been given a credit for a lousy night sleep I would have given a better rating.

They should be ashamed to be renting it out to people, let alone for $600 a night. The kitchen counter had ants, the living room was so musty I couldn't stop coughing and had to sit outside. The living room chairs were stained and broken, like they were purchased from a thrift shop. The sun room had a dust pile left behind. The porch is in disrepair. The first floor bathroom is not available during the weekdays because it's also the restroom to the post office connected next door, lol. The king mattress was so old it slanted toward the headboard so all the blood would rush to your head. The king closet is an unfinished dirty old stairwell to the attic. There were bugs in the light fixtures. The wall was cracked in a few places and the curtain rod wasn't hooked up properly. All of the blinds and curtains were closed like a cave, probably to hide the cobwebs in them and lack of cleaning. All of the home interior art was hung on a slant. A closet in another room had shag carpeting like my grandma's house in the 1980s. The garage, which is the game room, smelled strongly like the coal furnace inside of it. This is only what I saw with my own eyes and below are some of the photos I took. My family gave them the chance to make it right and they chose not to refund any of the money. They have to know what they do is wrong. Let's be real. It would take a year to fix that mess and why would anyone want to. They should apologize, refund all but the cleaning fee, and take a bulldozer to the place. This is authentic review. We asked kindly for part of our money back, as it should be.

Resort is very nice. I would love to see it during the summer. In saying and in my opinion,…read more this casino resort needs to update things in comparison with its competitors. It is very outdated and does not create a relaxing environment for all of its patrons. It seems that it's geared toward elderly non smoking people. Machines are ancient and there's no suitable clean area for people that actually smoke. The high limit room is disgraceful for a high limit room not a single updated machine. Perhaps this casino should View some of its competitors to see what actually makes a high limit room work. Rooms were comfortable but bed awful pillows. Bathroom- no shelving in shower to put soap etc, looks like it was ripped off. Strange. Restaurant is completely over priced for quality and our server the morning of 3/24/26 left us waiting and asking for everything and they were extremely slow. She seemed annoyed to be waiting on us. Casino- nothing going on as far as entertainment because it was beginning of week. Just gonna tell you that our party at four watched for three days we never saw an attendant making a hand pay. We never heard a single bell at all. We never saw a single person when anything of significance. I have never been to a casino where there was no walking around Cleaning machines, taking orders. The bartender told me that she takes it upon herself to walk around and wait on people so that she can make enough money to survive. Every conversation with the employee led to them complaining. . I never saw anyone in three days achieve a hand pay ...never heard any bells. If there are slot attendance, which I never saw those I don't understand how they make any money because I promise you it never happened so they didn't make a dollar in tips. The are high roller they'd like to smoke cigars and you can't do that here. The only thing that I saw was an overabundance of security guys that really did nothing. High limit room is a joke. Compared to my Pittsburgh area casinos, I can understand why no one ever played in that room. It's usually a room where guys that are betting like to enjoy a cigar and a nice drink while they relax in this casino you can't do that. have to go outside on the dirty porch with old machines that have lines running through the screen. Put more updated machines in and give people a smoking section the same as you do non smokers. I know people say this all the time, but this place is tight! As a gambler, I get more excited seeing other people win and I'm willing to spend more of my own money that was never the case here unfortunately you just anybody win anything. 2,000 later and we never won anything to keep us playing, as well as the couple we went with. 100 largest win. thr Resort seems like it would be lovely in the summer but the casino does not appeal to the gambler. We want a clean environment, great service to be able ti have the choice of a nonsmoking or smoking section, and also to receive a little bit of playback to keep you going. Unfortunately, this casino did not hit any of those marks. It does not appeal to a typical gambler. The average wealthy that would be willing to throw down some money might want to have a cigar and a nice bourbon. He will be in for a wake up. Call when he's thrown outside into the screened in porch filthy outdated machines wit zero cocktail waitresses. The smoking section is actually outdoors and it was freezing with a screen separating the outside. Get newer machines, wait on your customers and provide an indoor clean smoking area equivalent to non smoking!! People won't want to leave their seat! You have to leave your seat for everything! Makes it really easy to quit spending money. This review is very frustrating because I think the resort is beautiful and I want to like it but all of those things mentioned above make it difficult. It does not appeal to all people that like to gambler. It appeals to elderly non-smoking individuals and even they can't get a cocktail waitress.

There are lots of places to lounge both inside and outside the tree. Outside the treehouse there is a fire pit which we used for s'mores and potatoes. There is a place to purchase firewood right on Ella's property. The property has a .75 mile trail through the woods with numerous animal discoveries along it.
