    Butternut squash soup
    helen g.

I went there with a group of people. The place was welcoming , comfortable and well decorated.Service was slow but they were busy and company was good and conversation was good so was it too upsetting. Ordered one of the specials, pasta and shrimp along with butternut squash soup. The soup was delicious very flavorful in a beautiful bowl good portion. The pasta dish wasn't garnished well just a little parsley thrown on top , but the dinnerware they use is beautiful, pasta was nice and hot.The pasta had a very bland flavor , the sauce could have used some of the seasoning they had in the soup and some fresh herbs, basil, parsley, garlic, some ground pepper, it would also help with appearance of the dish. I counted the shrimp it had 4 small shrimp, a real disappointment. The lady next to me ordered an appetizer she shared, this toasted bread with cheese, honey , nuts and figs was wonderful! I got the tiramisu bread pudding for dessert, it needed cinnamon, a little nutmeg , sugar something to give the bread flavor and there was no coffee taste , should have soaked it in coffee or something not a tiramisu at all. The gentleman across from me got the pomegranate pork chop it looked good , big and he said flavorful , potatoes he didn't eat because they were cold and small portion next to the big pork chop, thought it came with a vegetable but didn't see one. I'm considering trying their Sunday brunch, the French toast flight on the menu sounds delicious. I just hope it has flavor .

Let's start off with the obvious. This establishment is almost hidden and we were unable to tell where it was. There were no identifying signs for parking but we figured it out. McDonalds is adjacent and you have to cross a tiny metal scaffolding to access the front door. We arrived 3 minutes prior to our appointment and the front door was locked. We went back to the car and checked exactly at our appointment time and it was open. First appearance is that this was a very new establishment with minimal seating inside but nicely appointed. The rearrangement of furniture could definitely allow for more patrons. We were greeted by a very polite server and were taken to our table. Chilled Water in a vintage bourbon bottle was place on the table. Our order was taken and as we waited music was turned in which changed the vibe. All in all we waited for 1 hour for our food. I think they had to wait for the ovens to heat up or something. I jokingly say that as many of our food items seemed like they came from an oven instead of being cooked on a flat top, fryer or pan. The French Toast: This was a monstrous portion as we were warned by our server and ordered it as an extra sweet dish to share at the table. This delectable wooden platter presented with 9 pieces of French toast. There were 3 "flavors" accompanied with a syrup and a meat of our choice. We chose the the sweet and spicy bacon. The bacon had an appearance of being oven baked and undercooked. The bacon was indeed sweet but not spicy or even a hint of spice at all. The platter looked lovely as you can see. Now on to the culinary execution. In closer appearance all French toast portions seemed to be undercooked and had a custard texture. After eating they all tasted like bread pudding. That's how much custard was present as if they were all soaked too long. The Tater Tots: Although they come with every meal, I would pass on these again. Tater tots should be whole in nature and not shredded partials. They 100% appear to be baked in an oven also which now lends to the wait times. The easier and more flavorful option is to deep fry or just convert to offering hash browns considering it already has the consistency. These were meh. The Avocado Toast: Looked appetizing, but my wife found it to just be standard. The Shrimp Benedict- Perhaps I issued it in the menu, but I was expecting actual shrimp and received a shrimp cake. I actually thought this was very tasty. The English muffin was a little hard as if it were sitting in a hot oven awaiting for everything else to cook. This made it very very hard to cut it but overall I liked it. Chicken Sausage: This type of sausage was unique as it was a 3 inch round patty and had a great flavor. Pork Sausage: This type of sausage (3) were links and had no color to them. Not likely cooked on a flat top and cooked by oven and pretty cold. Scrambled EGGS: This is not on their menu but they accommodated us. Suggestions: I would love to see Coffee/Espresso options on the menu offered with Brunch. I know you have been open only for a short time now, but should try to emphasize expedited service delivery. The French Toast should be a single option and the flight as another. If the intent is to have a ricotta consistency then the patron should be alerted that it has a bread pudding texture. Perhaps we will try another meal service as you get your feet wet. Just trying to support local businesses.

7oz Filet with bleu cheese and a port wine reduction with au gratin potatoes and broccolini.

Visited Heritage Bistro this weekend for the first time (it definitely won't be the last time!) The atmosphere was inviting and I loved the comfy chairs at our table. Our server, Courtney, was friendly and attentive. The dipping plate and feta dip appetizers were delicious. I got the featured steak which was the 7 oz filet with a wine reduction and bleu cheese. I like my steaks medium rare and I don't know that I have ever had a steak cooked so perfectly. It nearly melted in my mouth! Cannot wait to go back and try the other dishes! Thank you, Chef Gina, for such an amazing dinner!

We visited on a chilly February evening and all the fireplaces were in use. I love it when there is a fire, the aroma just adds to the ambience. We had the Bruschetta, which was quite marvelous. Very tasty. There is a wine list, but it used to be better. A bunch of lower tier options, with a smattering of maybe 4 quality bottles. We did order a bottle of the house red, and it is sweet, flat, and heavy. My wife gave up on her glass and got a house Cab Sauv, which wasn't much better. We should have gone with the Stag's Leap Cab like she wanted. Dinner was the Filet Mignon and the Steak and Cake. The Filet was excellent and the Maryland Crab Cake was delicious. The Steak with the crab was good, but underwhelming. Desert was a strawberry chocolate cake. It was good. Overall. Great place, great ambiance, good waitress, and good food. Final price was @$217 plan accordingly. That said, we planned and were looking forward to splurging. Yes, I should have splurged more for the better wine too We will be back.

You can taste the natural flavors that are complimented and enhanced by great seasoning. I've personally come to love the bruschetta and the beef wellington. Their staff leaves no room for desire! While I'm not a big alcohol fan myself, I've found that their staff is great at accomidating this fact. I have no idea what was in my drink, but I can only describe the taste like a raspberry tootsie pop. This is a restuarant worth revisting over and over.

Depending on the season and day of week, Shakespeare's offers brunch, lunch, and dinner. My husband and I ate one dinner here. We felt impressed by the 600 million pounds of boulders outside and the fun medieval-like architecture and interior design of the building (e.g., large doors, vaulted ceiling, oak panels, Spanish swords and shields, and tapestries). The seating hostess and the waitress served us promptly and politely. The dinner menu listed appetizers (e.g., poutine, pretzels, and wings), salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, chicken, steaks, veal, salmon, tuna, cod, crab cakes, pastas, vegetable sides, and some desserts. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Pierogi Flatbread - 4 stars - This flatbread had a wonderful crust, and it was topped with mashed potatoes, onions, and cheddar cheese. French-onion Soup Crock - 5 stars - My husband ate this soup. It had a nicely rich broth and onions and gooey cheese on top. Stuffed Shrimp - 3 stars - I ate this entree from the "moat," and I thought that it tasted just OK. Five large shrimp were stuffed with crab meat and lay on top of polenta. My side was a very fresh house salad. Queen's Prime Rib - 5 stars - My husband ate this entree from the "stockyard." A 10-ounce prime rib was cooked perfectly. My husband described it as "very tender" and "very good." He chose a buttery baked potato for his side. Apple Tart - 5 stars - We shared this dessert of a warm apple tart topped with vanilla ice cream. We enjoyed its sweet flavors. The total price for these five foods plus one soda was $95 *plus* tax, credit-card fee, and tip. My husband enjoyed this meal so much that he recommended that we return sometime to eat brunch.
