Went here with my wife last month. Great place with SOME ... great staff. The ultrasound nurse Zai was very kind and sweet. Very informative. We weren't sure about what pill would be given nor what the medi-cal program was. Unfortunately nothing was seen in the imaging that was done and my wife could not be treated so we needed to come back. She needed to get a blood draw and the phlebotomist took about 5 tries-but she got it done! The doctor we spoke to was very hard to understand- we explained to the Ultrasound nurse that we were left a bit confused by the doctor. Although we were quite annoyed; She was quick to help us understand and answered all of our questions. We couldn't help but notice that she was the only one working initially & she was seeming to train the phlebotomist - yet she still managed to help us out and be supportive towards our decision. Coming back to get our treatment done- we were pleased with our experience. The nurse practitioner Liz we spoke to over the phone was very helpful. The other nurse Akziry (I am not sure how to spell it) was also very helpful and informative along with Zai. Get them a raise!! They clearly know exactly what they're doing and know how to make patients feel comfortable! They offered birth control that would also be free of charge-however we declined. The only note I would give and why I left only 4 stars was simply due to the doctor or providers not being there on site. Although the procedure was done perfectly fine: -I do believe that having a doctor present would be a bit more comforting considering the services that are provided by them. -Only having one person on site is NOT okay. -I also believe that the initial male doctor we spoke to was a bit harsh and was VERY hard to understand. Additional Information: We were provided a medical program that covered for the service- which made it free of charge. I would say to look into what insurances cover the service. As I am not sure what other people's coverage can be. read more

They showed an insane amount of care/understanding, and really took the time to make sure I understood the entire process. I saw another OBGYN concurrently that left a lot to be imagined, and made me appreciate even more the effort these two ladies put into every encounter. read more

Do not go here! I went in to get the abortion pill. The first appointment they said they couldn't see any pregnancy on the ultrasound and to come back in a week. Came back a week later, they did another ultrasound and said they saw the pregnancy and then they gave me the pill. I went back for a follow up to make sure the pill had worked, they did another ultrasound and they said there was no more pregnancy. I told them I was still bleeding and had some pain still, they said that's normal but just in case they were going to give me antibiotics in case there's an infection. Well, turns out They failed to tell me it was an ectopic pregnancy. Which resulted in it rupturing my right tube and I had internally bleeding for over 2 weeks. Finally couldn't handle the pain And went to an urgent care & they did a lot of tests and not even an hour later I was rushed to surgery to save my life. Wish they would give me back the 300 dollars they scammed me out of to put towards my hospital bill! read more

The staff are all young at the East Los Angeles location which isn't necessarily a bad thing but the ultrasound tech had absolutely no clue what she was doing and told me i had an ectopic pregnancy which is LIFE THREATENING i was 5 weeks and it ruptures at 6-16wks i then went to UCLA emergency where they then told me that was not true and took amazing care of me. they made an already terrifying situation 10xmore scary. read more

Off the bat, $780 for abortion pills. There are a handful of issues at this location that can be easily fixed. 1. In regards to the girls at the front: as previous reviews also stated, they are very rude and unprofessional and apparently they all hate Karla. As i sat in the lobby, they spent 30 minutes talking shit about how awful Karla is and how she thinks she's better than everyone because she's an ultrasound tech & how no one at the east la location liked her either. She also apparently told a patient she might have a tumor and that got all the receptionists up and arms during the shit talking hour (the petite blondish hair girl with the thick accent really went ham on her and all this info) Very entertaining for me but shouldn't gossip hour be left for the lunchroom? Also apparently they work off commission on how many people they get to pay with cash (or thats what i heard as i sat in the lobby listening to gossip hour) 2. Covid Related: they dont sanitize the pens, they just tell you to place back into the pen stash 3. Payment: they aren't discreet about asking you about how you would like to pay. they ask loudly and push you to pay with money vs health insurance. if you tell them you dont have health insurance, they interrogate you about it. *note* if you end up lying, and they run your info and if says ins is retroactive, apparently you get fined the cost of whatever the health insurance charges for it vs their $780 4. Doctors - never met with the dr, i just sat in a room and had a brief chat over the receptionist iphone. Random approach lol 5. They don't allow you to sit with anyone who comes with you for support. so not only do you have to go in alone, you have to endure the receptionists bad attitudes and shit talking. 6. They aren't really empathetic here, its kind of just very transactional. Pros: The ultrasound tech with green eyes is awesome and kind. The new girl with wavy hair thats a medical assistant/receptionist is sweet too. The rest were rude as hell and if i wasn't desperate for the service, this place wouldn't be an option. I booked a same-day appointment online and I must say I am extremely impressed with the level of care and attention from the staff. Hana and Val were SO LOVELY and made everything so comfortable and easy. I walked in feeling so stressed and anxious, but they both made my experience tolerable, effortless even! Very unprofessional business/health clinic. They keep people waiting for plenty of hours. They bring you in then out and back in. They don't educate their customers nor their employees. Extremely unorganized. You have to chase them for information or updates.They do not communicate with you. The doctor will speak to you via zoom. Do not recommend. After posting my yelp review I received a call from the office manager the day after apologizing for the employees actions. He told me there is procedures established at the office that she did not follow. I do understand that one employee's actions do not reflect the entire office and I appreciate him taking the time to call me an apologize for my bad experience. I decided to update my review instead of taking it down all together because ultimately I did have a bad experience but the fact that I did receive a call back with an apology really does make a difference. I genuinely think he cared about my situation. By no means I want the girl that "helped" me to get in trouble but i did want her to understand that going in to the office i was already scared and mortified about the decision I was making and her actions just made me feel even worst. The unprofessionalism displayed in the van Nuys office was a huge reflection of your company as a whole. As already stated multiple times below.... The women at the front were extremely rude humans. They judged me the second I mentioned what I was there for. They truly had no empathy towards my situation. If you are looking to get an abortion service. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! In addition the front desk lady is also an ultra sound tech?? The "doctor" couldn't do the ultra sound... weird... And then after I got dressed from the ultra sound the same nurse demanded $200 CASH ONLY, in the doctors room she was insisting I pay IN the doctors room. What is this place???? Where do you experience a money exchange in a doctors room and not in the lobby??? Also CASH ONLY??? Would love to know where else does such suspicious acts. Herchoice.com mentioned how they accept all credit cards but these super sweet and knowledge ladies at the front make sure to mention that AT THE END of your "service" that it's CASH ONLY. When she that this was a cash only site... I said "excuse me no one mentioned this was cash only" she responded with "yes we did, you just weren't listening" Okay bye. So rude. They helped me out last minute with a situation that occurred abruptly, the room I was seen in was very dingy/dark and felt very cold and not all that inviting.. definitely wasn't up to par with other facilities but for last minute help beggars can't be choosers. They got me the care that I needed and I'm very grateful. I do recommend if you're in a last minute pickle since you can get seen right away! I think with a few modifications to the rooms would be much more helpful for their patients to make it more welcoming, other than that just grateful for their help read more

I called and they said they would be able accept my insurance. This was just a ploy to get me in because as soon as I got there they said they won't accept my insurance & I would have to pay out of pocket! So since I was already there I paid (I was just getting the pill). After they did the ultrasound by a tech they said there was no nurse or dr and I would have to come back later in the week!!! If you want any help or guidance at all, or even to have a simple question about services answered by a receptionist, don't come here. The girls in the front reception area don't care the slightest bit about helping patients. When we first arrived, none of them said a single thing to us (not even a greeting) when we walked to their desk. We just signed in and sat down. Two out of the three of them were silent most of the time, and the woman we actually spoke to had the worst attitude, and also completely lied about not offering a program for free or low cost services for low income individuals. I took my friend here after we made an appointment for her to get an ultrasound, and the woman on the phone ensured that since she did not have insurance, she could fill out paperwork at the clinic to qualify for the low cost program. (It's listed all over their website too). After I brought it up to the receptionist, she immediately said "we don't have that here." I told her I just spoke to someone on the phone who said otherwise, and that it's literally listed on their website, and she still denied it. Then she told my friend she'd have to pay out of pocket, and repeated to her like three times, "and even if you don't end up taking the pill, you still have to pay for it and the ultrasound." ?? My friend was in a difficult and scary position and this woman was just continuously pushy and rude. The only helpful women there were two patients waiting in the lobby, who overheard everything and told us the receptionist wasn't being truthful. After some more back and forth, the receptionist basically told us she'll only accept certain insurance like Medi-Cal, and we just wanted to get this over and done with, so we asked her for the address to the local welfare center so my friend could apply for emergency Medi-Cal. After asking for the address she just says "I don't have it." Ridiculous lol. Finally one of the other receptionists speaks up and tells us the corner street for the center. After we left, we just decided it absolutely wasn't worth coming back, because if simply the reception service was this awful, I can't imagine how horrible getting actual services carried out here would be. Just an awful place and experience. Unfortunately didn't catch the name of the rude receptionist, but she had shoulder length, light brown, choppy looking hair. Don't come here. read more

Let me preface this by saying, I'm awful sorry about the less than positive past experiences from the other reviewers. Luckily, I had an exceptional first time visit. Finding the office and convinient parking was a cinch. The staff was courteous and professional. I went midweek during the midmorning and didn't experience an overcrowded waiting room. The check in and consultation was right on time. Depending on where you've received medical treatments before, the office environment may seem lacking. I'd prefer to just say minimal but clean and functional. All my questions, concerns, and individual needs were addressed in a way I didn't feel rushed. The staff was generally sweet and helpful. I see this place has responded to my review saying they are t an insurance company. My issues had nothing to do with insurance. The facility is dirty, the staff is beyond rude and dismissive. I was trying to get information for my insurance company in which it was like pulling teeth to get. The worst part was the 1st time when the doctor never showed up and the next time when he did he had zero bedside manor. This is a great obgyn facility for women to visit for all women's heath care needs. The office and clinic rooms are clean. The staff is efficient and friendly. During my visit, I came for a general checkup, the nurse made me feel very comfortable. She was professional and she even offered me an extended std checkup at no extra cost! So I went to the Woodman location in the valley. This office seemed ok however the staff was rude. The girls at the front acted as if they didn't need or have the time to explain how things went. The girls act as if they are not at a job.. then when one of the girls came in the room I was in to do an ultrasound she was dressed as if she was just a receptionist at the front. No badging or anything displaying her title. She said she was an ultrasound whatever.. I didn't feel comfortable at all. The nurse practitioner acted as if she had a slight attitude or irritation.. it's like why the hell do you work at a clinic like that if your going to act the way you do.. Get a grip and go find a therapist cause all of their attitudes needs some evaluating.. Also my first appointment I was supposed to get a prescription and I never did. I had to wait and call back because I was in so much pain to see what to do.. Why do I have to walk you through your job.. just do as your supposed to do so I don't have to come back 3 days in a row. My experience here was actually pretty pleasant despite all the bad reviews. Parking wasn't an issue when I arrived and the wait time wasn't long at all. Filled out some standard paperwork, had my blood drawn by a nurse who probably knew how anxious I was bc she kept cracking jokes with me and my boyfriend which made me feel loads better. Everything I needed done was done on the same day I came in. They weren't unclear about any procedures I needed done too. Pretty solid experience tbh read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I called the clinic July 26th around 11-11:15 am and was greeted with HORRIBLE customer service. The woman that answered the phone was Hispanic and barely spoke English so already there was a communication issue. I asked if I called the San Francisco location and she responded with, "No, this is California" as if San Francisco isn't in California. After that, I asked to speak to someone else because I have questions I need answered correctly and she refused and said she was the only one I could speak to. I ended up hanging up hoping to reach someone else when I called back but now she or they refuse to answer the phone. As a clinic that is supposed to be serving and helping the public, the employees need to do better. This is unacceptable when dealing with urgent medical issues. I will be telling EVERYONE I know about this experience and will continue contacting this establishment until I reach someone on a managerial level. Do better. read more
