The name of this store is appropriate, because this is officially my favorite store in St. Peter. They have a gorgeous variety of clothing and accessories, and I'm blown away at how affordable it all is; similar styles at department/chain stores would be so much more expensive, and the stuff here is both inexpensive AND high quality and unique (I WILL find an excuse to buy one of those cute sequined dresses they have in the back one of these days). The folks who run the store are wonderful as well; Ellen was kind, helpful, and just a delight to talk to in general. I've already told my boyfriend that if he needs any ideas for my birthday, all he has to do is walk around that store. I'm looking forward to shopping there again soon! read more

Disclaimer: I don't like malls…read more That said, River Hills Mall is pretty good. It's all on one level, so it feels a bit sprawling, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. No heights or vertigo or people throwing stuff (or other people) from balconies is a plus in my strange book. The carousel was a bit disappointing, smaller than I had imagined. Nonetheless, cool that there's a merry go round in a mall, even if I am a little too heavy to ride it. (120 pound weight limit.) Ok, a lot too heavy, gosh! It's fairly stylish and nice to wander around and get some steps in. Maybe you'll find something to buy or eat or a movie to watch. The highlight of our day at the mall, besides walking around to take a break from driving, was ending up the sporting goods store, Scheels, and buying a whole bunch of fudge there. The irony was not lost on me.

We were all very surprised at how much we enjoyed this mall.
