The sale rack is worth a stop in and of itself - 50% off of tops, dresses, jeans, skirts. They also have a fun selection of shoes for a reasonable price. One pair of wedges was 30 bucks, so this big-city girl could do a whole lot of damage. They have complimentary coffee while you're shopping, and the girl working there was sweet, friendly, and totally welcoming. If you find yourself in montevideo, don't pass up this gem! You'll support an awesome small business in an awesome small town and get a pretty adorable wardrobe while you're at it.

We visited Sleepy Eye, MN yesterday and I stopped in this business and could not believe how rude…read morethe only sales person manning the store was. I went to the counter to pay for my purchase and had cash in hand to do so but the woman behind the counter totally pretended that I was invisible and ignored me and looked instead to a woman still shopping in the store behind me and proceeded to carry on a conversation with her while I stood there waiting to pay for my purchase. When she was good and ready she tallied up my purchase and I paid her. She closed her cash register without offering me a receipt for my purchase and I then informed her that I needed a receipt. Her reply was " We don't give receipts" and without blinking I told her that meant that she was going to find it necessary to hand write me one. She stared and me and finally said " well I wouldn't even know how to do that". I began to tell her that I needed one for the IRS because my purchase was a tax deduction but she interrupted me mid sentence. So I suggested that she take a piece of paper and write on it the date, the name of their store. what I purchased and what the price was. She was visibly annoyed that I stood there waiting until she did what I suggested. I have to add that the item that I purchased was was a personal care item. I had checked to make sure that it had a seal but I should have checked under the seal as the jar was half empty and smelled old so it was very unhygienic and therefore went into the trash as soon as I arrived back home. I wonder what the Minnesota Health Department would think about selling open, half used personal care products that are outdated and unhygienic. This was my only buying experience in Sleepy Eye, MN so this was my only impression of Sleepy Eye and I can tell you that I will not be back and neither will the person who was with me.
