The last time I was here, the service techs were awesome, showing me my ancient pickup while it was up on the lift. I do some of my repairs myself and they made suggestions and gave me tips for doing some needed and some 'eventually' repairs. I imagine we'll have a similar visit today when my truck is done. The prices are PHENOMENAL! They are cheaper than the grungy neighborhood garage that has always been the cheapest and I've been using for over 15 years. Granted, it is a bit of a drive since I live in Northeast Minneapolis but the drive is TOTALLY WORTH IT! Today, I tried my first combo service. Pedicure from Katie and oil change! I am totally impressed. Katie does a wonderful job and her prices are very reasonable. I love the people who make Maxville such a wonderful place. I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. I do believe the guy that "took my appt" on Saturday is the one who called me today asking why my car is there. Told me I had an appt yesterday. So irritating. I have taken multiple cars here for years for any and all service needs. Not happy! And guy is acting like I did wrong without listening to the phone call. I believe HE took my appt on Saturday....... Call and apologize and let me know you listened to the phone call from Saturday and confirm that I said what I said....

They said it was just a battery…read moreissue so they put a new battery in, Two days later I try to start my car and it just won't start mainly because of the starter which they said it wasn't an issue. We paid around $260 for the battery and as they looked at the car again before telling us repairs cost for the charger they charged us over $100 just for taking a look without informing us they were going to charge us. They didn't even claim fault for just suggesting a battery change and we couldn't even got our car back until we paid them over $100.
