The problem was, once I arrived on site, I got a look at the cable and noticed that it was potentially a little shorter than what I was looking for and asked if it would be okay if I brought my PC in so I could eyeball the length in front of my tower, which I just happened to have on me in my vehicle. The gentleman told me no problem. The problem was that when I came back to the store, I was greeted by two other men who started telling me sardonically "don't you have some place else to do this? Just buy the cable and take it back." I responded essentially just saying that I had asked the other employee if this was okay and that it was just easier rather than buying a cable, going to the car and checking, and potentially returning it. The man with no mask and the stained t-shirt ultimately just kept repeating himself asking me if I had some other place to do this at and that I shouldn't be doing it there, et cetera while the others stood around. I found them to be incredible unprofessional and overly aggressive. I told him I would just go to another store and walked out. You would think for a store so filthy and sparse, their customer service would be exceptional but I will not be returning to this store and will only speak of this incident where I felt incredibly put off. I found they acted unnecessarily aggressively and unprofessional.

I kicked myself all the way to Dartmouth to Mac East. Never been there before, but I had no choice. The prognosis was poor. A wet logic board is never good. The data storage is attached to the logic board. My desperation made me ignore any poor reviews. SO happy I did. The folks at Mac East (Kathleen and Barry) were friendly and professional in how they explained the many steps needed to try to revive a wet MacBook. They under-promised and - WOW - did they OVER-deliver! I a week they called to say they had been successful. The Mac was working and the data saved AND backed-up. Honestly, I would have paid them $1000. They charged me $85. $85! Mac East turned my worst computer experience into my best. TEN STARS!

Fortunately, it was one of the times that I actually bought the extended warranty. The problem was that , the model was no longer available. The manager ungraded the mp3 players, without any issue. He only had one in stock to give us, so he called another store and found a second one for us. We had two new players and kept the faith in Staples. Hard to find this level of customer service these days which is why I felt the need to write a review. Was initially turned off by other negative reviews surrounding this store, but after talking to Matt and finding out he recently took over this store as manager, it seems like there's been a lot of positive changes in staffing and the way the store is managed.
