The schnitzel here is generous to say the least and it comes with a side "salad" which is actually a plate of slivered cabbage, sliced potatoes, pickles, and some butter leaf lettuce on top for good measure. The dressing they use for this salad is a force to be reckoned with and I absolutely love it. I make it a point to eat here every time I fly in and out since I stay at the Hein Hotel down the street after I land and before flying home. The outdoor patio seating is ample and open but to do be aware that smoking is allowed so that might turn you off. Indoor seating is comfortable and also plentiful. Bathrooms are clean. Serice is prompt. Beers are wonderful. Prices are incomparable for such quality. I will say that the mixed grilled plate (pork, turkey, bacon, ribs) was not very good and if anything, I'd just say order the ribs if you want something of that nature. Get the schnitzel. Get the dumpling soup. Get the beer (Gosser is not something I can find in OC and it's wonderful). Enjoy the patio on a sunny day. Walk off your meal through the park just behind the restaurant. The Negroni Sour was on par with others that I have sampled. The tempura was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite, and I was almost disappointed that there was not more to eat. Overall, I had an exemplary time at Pauli and would highly recommend them for dinner in Vienna.
