What a lovely surprise! Wonderpots opened recently in Westbahnhof and I had to try this place out…read more I love the way it looks. Bright, friendly, welcoming, with a few seats. The concept is easy to understand - there are several cup sizes, you pick your cup, fill it up with different flavours of frozen yoghurt, then choose some of the free toppings and pay. Here you only pay for the cup size and not for how much does your cup actually weigh after you have filled it up with yoghurt - this is great because you can be sure that there won't be any surprises regarding the price. They also have smoothies and coffee, but everyone is here for the frozen yoghurt. On the other hand, 4,20 for the medium cup is maybe a tiny bit too much. And that cup is really not that huge. Also the things (emmm...handles? sticks?) you push for filling up your cup with yoghurt are simply not working. You have to push them very hard, then try to figure out whether the yoghurt is actually coming out or not, and then you have probably pushed too hard because you end up with yoghurt everywhere. They have a stack of tissues ready for you, though. So... be careful! But even after all the mess, I love the taste of this frozen yoghurt. Apparently it is low-fat, which explains why it feels very light and not that unhealthy as normal ice-cream. Two friends of mine thought that it's just too boring, but for me it is perfect.

Theoretically, a great idea and very delicious. Organic…read morefrozen yoghurt with 1.5% fat content and ~100 calories per 100g. Choose a size and fill the cup up with essentially whatever you want in a self serve setting. But then I looked a the price table - 5,90€ for their medium-size cup made me think "Are you people high?!" (Quite reminiscent of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwhkzVVapQo&t=5m53s ) Even with a -10% coupon in my pocket that drove me to enter the Westbahnhof area (usually, I try to stay outside a 250m radius), I thought "Do I really want to get one?" But I was just too curious. And I have to say... very smooth texture, just a subtle yoghurt taste (at least with the flavor called "Winterzauber") and the variety of toppings is huge and offers lots of interesting choices, like blueberry compote and some sort of a coconut sauce among the more regular ones like cookies and various kinds of fruit. And it looks like the surface between various toppings is cleaned regularly because people will inevitably make a bit of a mess due to the sauces, yet it looked pretty spotless. Well, before I started swinging the ladle at least... Also, admittedly a lot of frozen yoghurt fits into that medium-sized up. The small one for - if I remember correctly - 4,20€ would've sufficed. And you know, would it be 3,50€ (max.!) instead, I probably would've decided to a) enter the danger zone more often (for any tourists: I'm kidding, Westbahnhof isn't really dangerous. Just unpleasant...) and b) replace my occasional McFlurries with these Wonderpots. I should also point out though that they have a "Buy 10 get a medium one for free" thing going on. Which softens the blow a bit if you actually eat that many frozen yoghurts.
