It has a beautiful interior and it makes you feel like you are in a spa. He always makes sure you are seen on time and leave on time. He has helped me so much! I got injured 2 years ago, I started to see him about a year ago. All that pain I had felt in the first year of my injury is almost gone. It comes and goes but for the most part I hardly feel it. If I could give 10 stars, I so would. Henry is amazing and such a beautiful person. I cannot begin to tell you all the ways he's helped me. I was skeptical with trying acupuncture but figured at this point, it was worth a shot. I'm so glad I decided to take the plunge and dive into the world of alternative medicine. He was recommended by friends of mine and after my first visit with him, I could see why. His office is located in Kapolei, literally a 60+ round trip drive from me but I make the trek religiously every 3 weeks. There are several parking stalls in the lot and ample street parking, though I've never needed to park on the street. He shares the office but has private rooms with doors, not curtains. He does accept insurance so be sure and check if it's a benefit on your plan. Sadly, it is not included in my coverage so I need to pay out of pocket, however, Henry offers a cheaper rate in these instances. I inquired through his website and recieved a reply almost immediately. It's mind blowing how someone as busy as he is able to still respond to emails/calls/texts so promptly. His time management is impressive and always has someone before and after me. He values his patients time and puts himself on a strict schedule and is mindful of everyone's time. Henry makes sure you're comfortable with the temperature, music volume, lighting, and table. I don't like to lay flat so I opt for a wedge under my knees and a small lift at my legs. He is so caring and checks at the beginning of each appointment to see how I'm doing and what's new in my life. If I could bottle up his positive attitude and humor I so would. I remember the first time I received treatment, I told him it was so nice to hear him smile. I could hear him speaking to someone outside but could tell he was being genuine and it just warmed my heart to feel that. There aren't enough wonderful things to say about this man. After suffering for many more months than I should have with carpal tunnel pain, I sought out alternative treatment from NSAIDs and others recommending surgery. As a previous happy patient/customer at Kamaaina Acupuncture, I wanted to find a location closer to home to reduce my already exorbitant amount of time spent in traffic a week. A simple and easy search of Yelp lead to me to Henry and his reviews had me convinced he would be a good choice of practitioner to address my multitude of issues. I contacted Henry by email and he replied the same day scheduling me for an appointment about three weeks out (I had requested Saturday availability). Unlike Kamaaina Acupuncture, Henry offers private treatment rooms which frees you from having to listen to others snore, cough or sneeze around you. After a relatively quick but thorough assessment of my needs/desired outcome(s), he prescribed the course of treatment for the day and got to it. Needles were painless and I walked out feeling like I had taken a three-hour nap. He also used cupping, fascia scraping and the use of a vibration tool that literally sounds like a small hand saw (although he promises not to amputate anything). As someone who has likely spent thousands of dollars on KT Tape, braces, and other devices to cure my chronic/constant wrist pain, I can't believe I suffered for so long before seeking alternative treatment options. Although the pain is still there from time to time, it is no longer a chronic constant pain. He's also improved aches and pains as a result of previously existing injuries. Before I was recommended Henry I was in severe pain for over 7 years. I went to a chiropractor which only provided temporary relief and at a very expensive price tag leaving me feeling hopeless. My wife kept telling me about the miracle worker she discovered and eventually I scheduled an appointment. At the first appointment we discussed my concerns. I contacted Henry for an acupuncture appointment and he was kind enough to see me the next day (thanks to a last minute cancellation). I went in having little knowledge in the Traditional Chinese Medicine of acupuncture. I had read some blogs about acupuncture being the missing link to certain women suffering from infertility. So after 4 miscarriages, no (western medicine) reason as to why and an IUI scheduled, I decided why the heck not. Henry was very tentative and wanted to know all the details on my fertility issues and concurred that obviously something wasn't operating properly and that TCM could help realign everything (so to speak). I had a wonderful session. The feeling of acupuncture cannot be explained. I could feel the energy move throughout my spine as he placed the needles. For me, it was ticklish, but crazy feeling, and then total relaxation as my body gave in to the needles. He also cupped my traps, which was delightful but certainly not meant for pure relaxation. Additionally, Henry gave me tea that has shown positive results specifically for women who suffer recurrent pregnancy loss. This parting gift was a complete surprise to me. I have had my IUI procedure and am still waiting for the results, but regardless, my acupuncture experience with Henry was unforgettable and certainly worth the money (if your insurance does not cover it). Today was my first appointment. I've been to a few acupuncturists around the island so I'm no green bean. I decided to take a chance with Henry after seeing him in the local paper. First and foremost, he is friendly, positive, and upbeat. It is a definite plus when meeting new people who will be responsible for your health and well being. Henry is amazing. I refer him to anyone that has injuries or chronic pain. I was skeptical at first but he is always able to pinpoint exactly where my pain is coming from. He's so chill and funny, he definitely makes you feel comfortable. Not gonna lie, the cupping is uncomfortable especially when you're already in pain but it works! The acupuncture is nearly painless, just a slight burning sensation. He applied a needle on my foot and when he pushed it down I could feel it all the way to my neck. It's kind of trippy. I started seeing Henry about six months ago for the treatment of multiple autoimmune and digestive conditions that had become exacerbated. I was bed-ridden and extremely sick, unable to function at all in my daily life. Henry has treated me both with acupuncture and herbs.
