I had to call the number on google and ask for which entrance (East). I parked and went in to look at the directory and walked down the hall. The waiting room was empty and small, but very clean. I told her my name, gave her my slip and insurance card, and only waited a few minutes. Everything went by really fast. The nurse was kind and helpful. She asked if I had any questions and took her time with me because I do not like needles. She explained what she was doing and what was being tested, which was very helpful. We arrived just after 7pm and went through lobby check in where they checked our temperatures and cleared us to proceed to the Radiology. That is where we had to answer questions and present her insurance cards. She called to verify that Radiology was still open and was told yes, until 8pm. Then we were directed where to go and wait to be called in. As with previous visits here to other departments, everyone was friendly, professional, and made us feel welcomed. It was very quiet throughout the facilities, maybe because it was after 7pm and not too many people came in for any treatments. Even though it was not busy, we still waited over 35 minutes before my wife was rolled into the X-Ray room and had her X-Ray taken. We found out that there was a miscommunication problem and our check in hadn't been relayed to the X-Ray tech who was getting ready to close. But she was able to set up the equipment and take care of the tests we needed. Then, since my wife was a good girl, we went for ice cream.

Our prescriptions were promptly sent over to the pharmacy and notes were given for follow up care. They are spread around the metro area so you shouldn't have to go too far. We have used this location a few times in the past but it has been a while. There is no appointment needed but they also include the ability to sign up online to hold your place in the walk-in line. It also shows you how long the estimated wait time is. When you arrive you need to sign in at the counter or by using the kiosk nearby. Then you have a seat and check the electronic screen showing your place in line. I have never experienced longer wait times than they originally estimated. I have used the online system but mostly I just show up. The staff, including the doctors and nurses, are all professional, polite, and very competent in my experience; they quickly discuss your issue and get to the cause and solutions.

She agreed and officially changed my prescription to 2 pills. Six months later, when I requested a refill, I was told I had to schedule a medication check before it would be approved. I scheduled and attended the appointment, which lasted about five minutes and involved no meaningful discussion or changes to my treatment. The following week, I received a $150 bill for that brief visit. I contacted Dr. Kastl multiple times to express my concern and pointed out that, based on my understanding of Michigan law and federal guidelines, the medication I take does not require a mandatory six-month follow-up. Rather than acknowledging my concerns or showing any empathy, my messages were dismissed by simply stating "it's our policy". In this situation, patient care took a back seat to billing. After being a loyal patient for years, I was extremely disappointed by how this was handled. I will not be returning to this practice and would encourage others to carefully consider their options when choosing a primary care provider.
