I was told if items still have original price on them they were supposed to be marked 50% of that. Seriously ??? Most of the time the item is flawed or damaged in some way, or from past seasons. I have seen items in there that had yard sale stickers on them and GW marked them at some fantasy retail price. Holiday items are now marked with fixed prices and I guess stay on the shelves until they break or look so shoddy somebody pulls them for the dumpster. Store does look cleaner as well and cashier was very nice.

The food that they serve the children is extremely NASTY (inmates in prison get better food than these kids!!) and they serve the same food week after week after week!!! The children are never given an adequate amount of liquids to drink at each meal!!! Also they only change the children if they are poop or extremely wet.....if they have just a lil bit of pee in their diaper they make the child continue to wear the same diaper til next diaper change (which is 2 hours later!!!) Their infants are with one and 2 year olds all day, which is against state guidelines!!! They leave their 3-4 year olds unattended at various times throughout the day, which is not legal at all!!!! They only allow children to play with ONE TOY, like how in the heck is a child supposed to role play or use their imaginable capabilities with ONE toy? They don't allow their staff to talk to parents, heck the staff is afraid to even tell parents good morning or have a good day!!!

The woods are open to pedestrians and people on horses, though I did not see any horses. The trails are extensive and on foot it would take a full day to cover them all, particularly given the fact that they are quite sandy. What were marked as streams on the map seemed just to be sand as well with no water; these must be transient streams. The main paths were quite large, while some of the more peripheral trails meant for humans only were more solid ground and less sand, but were a bit overgrown. I joined AIKEN SENIOR LIFE hoping to find a SOCIAL outlet 10 YEARS LIVING DOWN SOUTH WHEN I WALKED INTO AIKEN SENIOR LIFE, I THOUGHT I FOUND MY "NICHE" I LOVED IT THERE. my home situation is not good. This forced me to cancel most of the groups that I had signed up for and I only attended to groups consistently. my safety was at risk due to criminal neighbors. This lead to a misunderstanding with a group leader over a text message. Group leader, kathryn isaac refused to accept my apology. most recently attended a BUS TRIP with AIKEN SENIOR LIFE to AIKEN MUSEUMS. of the free museums I went to. I only had a problem in one museum I do not feel I was treated properly by the Director/ tour leader in this museum. two days after this trip on Friday afternoon after 4 PM, I received a call from Aimee Hanna Executive Director at Aiken Senior Life Services. prior to her calling, I didn't know who the Director was Ms. Hanna proceeded to yell at me about the museum incident. I was not allowed to speak. I tried to tell her that I have Asperger syndrome she would not allow me to get a word in edgewise. I was then told I AM PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM AIKEN SENIOR LIFE Ms. Hanna spoke of the incident at the museum; did not mention the misunderstanding regarding the text message she then LIED -- saying that "you have been a problem in every single group that you attended; have been disruptive, and I have received multiple complaints" THIS STATEMENT IS 1000% FALSE! I only attended two groups consistently throughout never had a problem in any of the groups, the group members and the group leaders excepted me fully. The only problem was the misunderstanding of the text message and I did apologize. However, she would not accept my apology and the problem at the museum. Combined this would not warrant being PERMANENTLY BEING BANNED FROM AIKEN SENIOR LIFE My limitations and differences as an adult with Asperger syndrome are no more severe or different than other seniors, who attend that have dementia or Alzheimer's disease Ms. Issac used my text message for purposes of which it was not intended. This led to the misunderstanding. She refused to accept my apology. All groups at AIKEN SENIOR LIFE are led by volunteers. Ms. Issac is one of the few professional volunteers. She is a retired RN. It would be detrimental to AIKEN SENIOR LIFE to lose a professional volunteer such as Ms. Issac, but I AM DISPENSABLE The decision by Ms. Hanna was prejudicial and discriminatory. I was never allowed to even try to explain anything. She was screaming at me throughout the call that she made to me. given that Ms. Hanna has absolutely no flexibility with an adult with Asperger syndrome that has limitations, it calls into question her flexibility and patience with seniors with Alzheimer's and other dementia's

Placing my child's safety in someone else's hands is something my husband and I don't take lightly. This facility has been a godsend! Management and staff are amazing. We currently have a 4 and 1 year old attending. My 4 year old has grown up around many of the staff and loves them dearly. I never have issues with cleanliness and they have been wonderful working around our 1 year olds food allergies to nearly everything. Cost has gone up on occasion, but they have actually made improvements to the classrooms and purchased a new bus. We don't mind the rate increase when we can see the money being put to good use. I have, and will continue to recommend this amazing facility to anyone in need of childcare. They will treat you and your children like family, not customers.
