Day 1: Just moved to Arizona 2 weeks ago and was checking out a few places today in Old town Scottsdale. Walked into this fun store and enjoyed browsing and chatting with Beth who made me feel welcomed. Ended up trying a few henna patterns on both hands. Though I left on for over 3 hours, my hands are darker than my arm. Honestly, I think this is due to my skin being very dry on my hands due to the change of climate and my moisturizing body wash on the rest of me. Since the pattern is so light you can't see all the details Beth did in her design. Although it didn't have the result we both wanted, I really enjoyed my time in The Henna Shoppe. I plan on having better prepared skin before trying this again but can't wait to dive into the jewelry wall. Day 2: All hail lemon juice and coconut oil! Awoke this morning to discover my henna has darkened. The top part of the arm is still lighter but the detail is more clear. I just know noticed the message left to me by the owner of The Henna Shoppe. And now I am giving review a 5 star and here is why. Customer service/loyalty seems to be a dead art form. The quick response to my yelp review with the offer of advise and even to redo was a welcome site. I don't plan on having my henna redone. The slight color difference is the belly of the henna beast based on location of tattoo and skin type. I think Beth did an amazing job but what truly made me a returning customer happened long before my henna was even complete. To be in the presence of someone who truly is happy and loving what they do is infectious. Genuine interest in people cannot be faked. read more

I love this shop because they are basically everywhere and had the items I like. However they are over priced. But the items I've bought and my husband has brought me there have been great. I received a tea pot, a bowl with chopsticks, candles, and more. I've also personally bought stones, sage and other items here. Customer service is always great as well. Was so happy with my experience here. Me and my boyfriend were just browsing around when we walked in here. I have done henna many times before but I will admit this is one of my best experiences. I mentioned I wanted an original price and explained only a couple of things o was interested in. BETH immediately had an idea in mind and said she would do it no problem. She was very understanding, nice, professional, and had an all around good vibe( which I enjoyed). She created an absolutely amazing one of a kind piece on me which I very much love and enjoy in an amazing 15 minute period. I will be coming back to this location again when I am in town next. We stopped in to get henna tattoos while we were walking around old Scottsdale. My friend and I had actually gotten henna the day before at a different place for the first time and our other friend wanted to get one done. This place was better by far it was more authentic and way better work and prices ! The only downfall was that there was only one artist working and at one point it got really hectic, but she even stayed late to finish all of ours ! I just loved this little shop in Old Town! They have such pretty clothes at great prices and adorable gifts. They also do henna tattoos that are super unique. There's incense and little trinkets that were too cute. The employee that works there is super nice too. It's kind of tucked into a corner, so you have to really look for it. Honestly loved this place up until today, I was sold rings that were supposedly 19.99$ because they were sterling silver even though the tag clearly said 9.99$. I understand if things get tagged wrong. However, I am allergic to all things except sterling silver which is why I put forth the 20$ each for these two rings due to the fact that they were "sterling silver". Well, they gave me a severe reaction so obviously we're not sterling silver. I went to return these rings at a different henna shoppe closer to me and they wouldn't take it.
