Alapi is an amazing artist and I'm so glad to have worked with her for my bridal mehndi based on a friend's recommendation! She makes her mehndi cones herself; I had no skin irritation and the color came out well. She is patient and accommodated all kinds of intricate design concepts that I wanted to include. She also provided small designs to guests at a pre-wedding event, along with a team of two other artists she brought along. They were all great, and worked hard to get through as many people as possible (well over 100) in the allotted time! Highly recommend Alapi's henna services as well as the other artists who work with her (if you need application done for many people). read more

Henna Creation - Freshly applied bridal mehndi - Henna Artists Near Me - Union City, California

Awesome Amazing artistry by Alapi at our son's mehendi ceremony. She arrived on time and got organized setting up her lighting, table cover, heat dryer lamp. So very pleasant making beautiful intricate designs for all our guests. Everyone love the designs she created for them. She worked tirelessly from the moment she arrived until she left past her timeline. We highly recommend Alapi of Henna Creations, she's absolutely the very best read more

Alapi was exceptional when I used her for my daughter-in-law's Mehndi recently. Her patterns were excellent, and since all of the applicants were non-Indian she explained each design in detail to comfort the person. She has lots of patience, and is quick with her application process. Her fees were very reasonable considering the happiness she brought to the faces of the brides friends. She also makes her own stock of Mehndi and doesn't use any ingredients that might cause skin irritation. I have also used Alapi for my nephews wife's Mehndi celebration a few years back, and everyone went away very happy with her work. Thanks Alapi we appreciated your dedication and hard work, and the happiness in the faces of the applicants were priceless. read more

Alapi did a wonderful job! I had booked with another henna artist who canceled last minute and Alapi squeezed me in on a Saturday morning with very little notice. I had to be done in exactly three hours and she was able to complete what I wanted in exactly that time. She was efficient, detailed and fun to chat with. I would definitely come back and have her do more in the future. Her patterns are gorgeous, and everywhere I go people comment on them. read more

She made me wait for 2 hours. I left after 2 hours of wait without service. She works from her garage. No heating. Shivered for 2 hours. She took 3 people in front of me insisting they would be quick. One lady said she has kids, so her time was apparently more valuable than others! Edit: After all the drama, she took me in after 2 hours! She is a good artist, I give her that. read more

Alapi is an excellent Mehndi artist! First of all, I have never seen such intricate designs before -- she has a very steady hand and is a truly gifted artist. The bridal designs she created were so beautiful. I am still staring at my feet and hands a week later!! Alapi arrived on time and was prepared with all of her equipment. She set up a station that was very comfortable for me to sit for three hours! Alapi also traveled a long distance to get to our home in Marin County. We really appreciated this extra travel because there are no henna artists where we live. The only suggestion I have is just to be clear about how many hours certain designs take, since payment is per hour. The more intricate the design, the longer it takes, obviously. But maybe, you might want to go over a few examples/photos with Alapi so the cost is clear ahead of time and this can be honored. Although we spent more money than I had anticipated, I must say it was worth it because it only happens once for a bride (hopefully!). Thank you, Alapi! read more

I highly recommend Alapi for henna services. She did my bridal henna for my wedding in May 2021. I wanted a custom design which took longer that usual but she did a beautiful job designing it and making my bridal henna dreams come true. The stain was also nice and dark and lasted a while after my wedding. Alapi was also very responsive when I first reached out to her and answered all my questions. She periodically checked in to confirm details of my event between the time I signed the contract and the day of the event. She even offered a free henna trial! read more

I booked an appointment with Alapi at her house, as we were getting simple designs just for fun. It was very easy to book the appointment and Alapi was responsive during the entire process. My young daughters got one design each & Alapi was patient with them. She is talented and was able to do beautiful designs quickly for them. Alapi does intricate designs and is reasonably priced. The stain is dark. The pic of the hand is 3 days post application. I definitely recommend using her for your services. read more

I wanted to get henna done for Karva Chauth. I searched and found Alapi on Yelp. I really liked the designs that she has posted and scheduled my appointment. I met her at her place. A very comfortable and cosy environment compared to my previous experiences. She is very artistic and accommodating to the design you want to get done. Very gracefully she did henna on my both hands and for my mother in law . Reasonably priced for the price of art she drew on my hands in no time . I would definitely go back next time I need henna done. This is the place to go. read more

Henna Creation - This is after 12 hours of getting henna done from Alapi !! All stars for her - Henna Artists Near Me - Union City, California

Alapi is a true artist! I had my bridal mehendi done from her (after having a bad experience with the henna artist who I had booked earlier, I called Alapi at the last minute and she very nicely accommodated me in her schedule even though it was late at night). I wanted to mix and match several designs, and she easily recreated those intricate designs with amazing skill and deftness, while also adding her own creativity to the designs. The outcome was absolutely beautiful. Everyone was very impressed with the intricacy, symmetry and neatness of the mehendi designs on my hands and feet. The color of mehendi peaked after 2-3 days which was perfect for me, and it took a lovely, dark burgundy shade. It has been almost 2 weeks since I got my henna done from her, and the designs still have not faded from my feet and palms! I am definitely returning to her in future for mehendi, and I strongly recommend her for your mehendi needs. read more

Beautiful design and very quickly front and back both hands were done. Very professional and very good smelling natural mehendi ! read more

Alapi is a seriously talented artist. She's focused, well-equipped, and able to work very quickly. Her designs are beautiful. Pre-event communication was a little difficult, and since I didn't have any references for Henna Creation, I was a little worried. It was my responsibility to kick off my brother's wedding weekend with a successful mehndi party, and I didn't want anything to go wrong. But once Alapi arrived at our bridal mehndi party, she exceeded everyone's expectations. Two-thirds of the guests were the women in my Indian family, who have seen and had mehndi done many times. My cousin is a mehndi artist herself. All were impressed with Alapi's designs, the fine-ness of the lines and the detail. As cost was a concern for us, I really appreciated Alapi's ability to meet her time estimates very well -- she was able to do exactly what we needed in exactly the time she'd estimated. This is rare, and shows how well she knows her art. I wholeheartedly recommend Alapi for any mehndi event, and would absolutely call her again for one of my events. read more

I am behind on writing this review, but I wanted to write one right before I make another appointment! :-) About a month ago, I was eager to get a henna before going off to Las Vegas. I yelped and found a couple nearby, but I liked the reviews for this one. I met Alapi at her home and she is very talented. VERY (Check out the painting she made in her living room!!!) It was all so easy to her and I literally just asked for her to do whatever she wanted to. With ease and gracefulness, it was amazing to watch. With all her helpful advice, my henna lasted the whole trip. I am excited to go back and get another one. I have already recommended all my friends to go to her as well, as I know this is the only place I will go to. read more

She's always so nice and does everything you want. She works with your schedule which is a plus. It's a little pricey for henna, but honestly she's worth it. If you're going to a big event or wedding & don't mind splurging a little for henna then this is the place. Her work is always on point and beautiful. read more

I called Alapi a week before my event for a quick mehendi. She was very accommodating of my schedule and called me over to her home. She is very proficient in her work and she did mehendi on both my hands within 30 mins. I was out of her place with beautiful henna designs decently dried on my hands under 45 mins. Her medallion style design was accurate and precise that a few men came up to me and asked if the henna was drawn by machine or by hand :) Overall - quick response, quick and professional henna work at decent rate ! I would recommend her for any fun event / gathering read more

Alapi came to a bachelorette party for a close friend - in Pescadero. It was difficult to find someone to come to our location - but we got so lucky with Alapi. She arrived on time - with a lovely smile. She is super nice and super talented. Every one of us loved our henna design Alapi listened to our preferences, made suggestions and showed us pictures and options. Alapi is very talented - I showed her three different images and she took from each of them to create a unique, extremely detailed design for my bridal henna. Alapi was also a life saver - she accommodated me at a week's notice when someone else cancelled. Thank you! read more

Alapi single-handedly managed over 25 women at our Mehendi party during our wedding in April. I used Alapi for my bridal mehndi, as well as for a mehndi party for my family and freinds- she was FANTASTIC! My (very critical) parents and relatives noted she was so professional, and her designs so intricate. She worked for hours on my guests at the party, was *beyond* nice and pleasant to everyone. My own bridal mehndi was extremely intricate and came out wonderful - I could not have been more pleased. When met with her to review designs and discuss details, I immediately felt at ease. I found her prices extremely fair, and after it was all done it seemed like a great deal for all the services she provided. I have already recommended Alapi for a friend's baby shower, and I would recommend her to anyone for bridal mehndi as well. To summarize: professional and nice. no attitude, just incredibly detailed artistry. read more

Alapi is wonderful. I have gone to her two times so far. The first time I went was in July - I found her on yelp because she was a mile away from where I was eating so I decided to try her out. I went to her again yesterday because I had a botched henna job at a local henna salon near my home (do NOT go to Salons! I recommend professional henna artists who work from their own studio or home). Alapi covered the awful design with her gorgeous design wonderfully! She made the henna right when I called to tell her I would be coming over in 15 minutes. She is highly accommodating! Even though she's around 25 miles away from where I live I will continue to go to her for my mehndi needs. She was thorough with the design and continued to perfect it when she thought of something to make the design stand out even more. She was super friendly and offered us water while we waited for the design to dry. As someone who grew up with mehndi/henna as a part of my culture - I know great mehndi- and Alapi delivers. Thanks and see you next time! read more
