I'm giving this company a 1-Star rating and here's why. My brother's vehicle broke down in Southfield today at Speedway Gas. He phoned Henderson to obtain towing. The vehicle needed to be towed from Evergreen/Northwestern service drive to a repair shop in Canton. He was given a towing rate of $250 (outrageous) and was told they would be there within the hour. I arrived at 1pm to sit with him. At 2:15pm (1:15 later) we called for an ETA. Was told by a very unconcerned young lady, that she wasn't the one on the road and couldn't give an exact estimate. But the truck was currently dropping off another vehicle and the drive time from there to our location was 22 minutes. At 3:15pm (2:15 later) we phone again. Was told the same thing but that there was no ETA, and when the driver was on his way, he would text us. At 3:45pm (2:45 later), we received a text asking for our location when that information had already been provided to the dispatch. Instead, we called back to cancel the towing. We were able to reach T&Ts Towing who arrived in 10 minutes and offered us a much more reasonable towing rate and with a flatbed truck. I will never contact this company again, and it's unclear how Henderson got a 4.1 Yelp rating. read more

Last night I was alone in a sketchy area with a blown tire. A recent snow storm and bad road conditions meant there was a long wait for roadside services. When driver Richard showed up, he couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I was slightly freaked out and he was calm and very helpful. Henderson Towing is now saved in my contacts and will be the first place I contact in Metro Detroit for roadside assistance. Thanks guys! read more

After playing the waiting game for over 2 hrs I called a different towing company and they showed up within 20 min. Being stuck on the side of the rd with 2 flat tires @ 5 am and these people don't show up? Save yourself the hassle and call a different company! read more

Oh these folks are brilliant. Had a flat tire and wasn't even sure how to access my spare (more on that later) and decided to call someone. Called Troy's and while they said they couldn't fit in the garage it was also clear they just couldn't be bothered with me. On the upside they recommended this place. I called and got a quote that was less than half of Troy's. Not only that but they said they'd be here in 20-30 minutes. They were here in 15. Poor Charles, though. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong (excepting that the spare was flat, too) with this change... did. It was impossible to access the spare (pick-up truck, spare under the bed, ultimately realized we had to pop off the bumper covers just to get to the lowering screw), when we did the secondary latch on the spare was rusted/salted on. Got that free (with lubricant and a hammer). Then the lug nuts kept getting stuck in the power tool so he had to go back to using the four-by. Got the lug nuts off and the tire was still stuck on (back to the lubricant and the hammer with a cushion to protect the hub/wheel from damage). Seriously he'd have one small success and have another annoying hurdle. And the whole time, while the guy was clearly frustrated (as was I), he was good humored and joking around with me and apologizing for the delay. When we (meaning he) FINALLY got the tire changed - and especially since his dispatch was wondering what was taking him so long - I expected a bump in the price I was quoted. But no. After all that, it was the same price. I'm sure they wish I wouldn't since I am clearly cursed, but I would call these guys again in a second (and have them saved in my phone) if I ever need a tow or other assistance. You should, too. Don't bother with anyone else. read more

Wonderful service! We were stuck on the side of I-96 at 10 at night in pouring rain with a blown tire, and we called and told them to tow us from Detroit to Ypsilanti. The guy on the phone said we had to have an address to tow it to, but he sent out a truck anyways. We decided we wanted to put our bald spare tire on instead and try to get home, so the guy (named Lincoln) said yes, he could change the tire for $60. He didn't seem bothered at all that we changed our minds from towing to changing the tire. Lincoln was friendly, skilled, and quick. read more

Needed my car towed to the dealership for repair. They were here within an hour or so of calling. It was early, on a miserable rainy October morning, but the driver was friendly and attentive, taking his time to make sure the car was loaded onto the flatbed properly. At the dealer, he went out of his way to make sure the vehicle was dropped off in the appropriate area. Cost was the same as quoted. Couldn't ask for a better experience with Henderson. My dealings with Suburban Ford of Ferndale didn't go as well, unfortunately, but that's another story ... read more

Prompt and professional. Quoted price over the phone which was the same as their website calculator. The driver was polite and took care loading my car. Dropped it off to the repair shop and delivered keys to the mechanic. I'll be sure to let Curt's know to recommend Henderson Towing as they did them for repair. read more
