We got a big variety pack and a small pack along with some giant sparklers. Granted they are right next to ft hood but I think it's pretty badass that they offer a 10% off military discount to military, veterans and family of military. Park with activities for everyone…read more Ample parking. There's a trail that encompasses the park with fitness stations throughout. Picnic areas dispersed as well if you're having a get together. Very tempting playground. In fact, I even tested it out - small climbing wall and twirly slide passed my inspection. A child on a bike arrived shortly after. I promptly left as if I didn't just go "weeeee" on the slide. There's also a nice splash pad and skating area which I thought were cool. In one area, there's a pond with some ducks. Then there's a soccer field close to the cemetery. Oh yeah, there's also a cemetery which I think is a bit weird in terms of city planning. But hey, I guess that doesn't stop people from coming and enjoying a nice park.

A nice atmosphere. Lots to do. The regular park is there as well as the lake. Plenty of porta potties all around. Plenty of vendors to stroll through and see all the different stuff. Plenty of alcohol! At night there are many people wandering about with glow in the dark accessories for sale. Bring your cooler, your blanket, your chairs, your sunscreen and find a nice spot on the lawn.. and enjoy your day! It's almost picture perfect. We stopped by the Frontier Days Celebration on July 4th. It's a huge event with carnival rides, pig races, food trucks, and a few other vendors. I believe they had fireworks at night but we were there in the afternoon. The event was very organized and there was plenty of parking. I'd say they drew a crowd in the thousands on July 4th. This is a free event and its' really quite nice. Very nice for families with younger children.

Their variety of products is really good from thing to entertain younger folks to lighting up the sky that dads and moms go for.
