Only one section of Lethbridge is allowed to have any trees, and that side is the South Side. To cap it all off, this part of Lethbridge also has the ever lovely Henderson Lake Park. Henderson lake is a highly manicured green oasis of mature trees, bike paths, picnic shelters and water in the middle of thriving, natural prairie grass desert.
There's a boat launch if you feel like doing some non powered boating. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boats are all welcome.
No swimming in this lake. Just by looking at it, you could probably guess it's not something you want to put in or around your mouth, but just in case you couldn't tell, there are plenty of signs.
If you walk to the park approaching from the south side you'll have a whole golf course to walk around to get to the park. Or you could sneak through one of the many openings in the bushes and just sprint across the course, and hope to a higher power of your choosing that you don't get hit by a golf ball. Don't worry, I'm sure they won't try to aim at you. read more
