Came to Holiday Bowl over Labour Day Weekend on a road trip to visit friends. We were the only ones in the alley and the chitlins were a wee disappointed Holiday Bowl wouldn't turn on the glow or black lights, but c'est la vie.
This is a 5 pin bowling spot that gives you that good 'ol warm fuzzy feel.
From the two toned coloured bowling shoes to the mini 5 pin balls, you're sure to have a great time here.
We played 2 games and were in a group of 7. $70 was the damage done as they were running a $5 per game/shoes included special.
You give your names to the staff here and they input them, you don't have access to update/change your team/individual names at your lane.
They had a menu which included your typical bowling alley bites of pizza and nachos. There is a bar/lounge (HB's PUB) attached as well but I didn't venture in there.
One really ODD thing is that there was zero music. They have a juke box but you have to pay to select a song to play in the alley. Otherwise it's silent - so weird. I get paying to select your song but please don't have a silent atmosphere.
I'd definitely come back but would try to hit up a glow time to make it a little more fun for the kids and hopefully they play music then!
I did think the historic pictures of Lethbridge framing the end of the bowling lanes were pretty spectacular. I love a place that includes local history!
See you next year Holiday Bowl. read more
