My dryer was taking forever to dry a load of clothes and I couldn't remember when I had last had…read morethe vent cleaned. A friend mentioned The Dryer Vent Tech, and sent me a photo of their business card. Their website made scheduling incredibly easy. I was able to,pick a time that worked for me and got a confirmation back that the appointment was accepted very quickly. Keith called when he was on his way, arriving at the promised time. He did a great job and cleaned out a bird nest and about a half pillow case of lint from the vent. He also found that the duct had been crushed in some previous work I had done...which was in 2007...so I then knew it had been over 16 years since I had had the vent cleaned! Yikes. He un-crunched the duct and that combined with the cleaning has my dryer working so much better! The $189 price for the second floor vent was a great deal. I will definitely have Keith come out again at the recommended 2-3 year intervals going forward rather than over 16 years!

As mentioned, the owner's a little quirky. I think he means well, but doesn't know as much about guitars as he'd like. And he gets pretty defensive if he's not the one in the know on something. That's not the end of the world. But it's an odd experience in an exclusively USED instrument store. Because those of us who have been playing and collecting for decades are going to come in and occasionally have a little more knowledge on something obscure they've got in, etc. If someone with gray hair who knows how to disassemble and review an instrument comes in, it behooves you to trust that he understands it. They stand by their own intake inspection to a fault. If you find something they missed on their intake inspection--even if it's glaring like the guitar doesn't make sound when plugged in--then you've got an uphill battle to prove your case even if you haven't left the store with the instrument yet. If you're looking for a deal on something generic, I think this place will get you through alright. If you're collecting, then this place is probably going to weird you out a little.

The gentleman who helped us, looked at the part and went back to the stockroom to see if he could find one. And when he could not, he instead removed that same part from the floor display of one of his own water softeners. He said he would then just contact the manufacturer and get a replacement for himself later. But he made sure that we were taken care of. And the price was a whopping $3.62. In addition, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. This was my first time shopping at Economy Plumbing Supply today, and I am so grateful for this experience, that I'm going out of my way to make sure that I say thank you, and also give a heartfelt recommendation to them. In addition, I'd also like to thank the very nice woman who offered us coffee and donuts while we were there! She has a receipt, a picture of the receipt and the messages as proof. Most of their communication was done through text messages. In those messages, she was told multiple times that she would receive a refund. However, after she informed them that she had paid in cash, her number was blocked and communication stopped completely. She made several attempts to resolve the situation before that, but once she mentioned the cash payment, she was no longer able to reach them. She did not receive the services she paid for, nor did she receive the promised refund. This situation has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Based on her experience, I would strongly encourage others to get detailed written agreements and be cautious about paying large amounts upfront, especially in cash.
