He does not adhere to cookie cutter care plans. I am very active and wanted to achieve a high level of athleticism I was told I would never achieve again. I suffered from chronic and debilitating back pain from fractures for about 2.5 years. I have had a laundry list of surgeries and other broken bones which made my treatment plan complicated. I was referred to Jason by Scott Bainbridge, physical rehab medicine physician, as I had exhausted the efforts/ideas of my previous physical therapists. Thanks to Jason and his amazing staff, I have returned to my endurance sports and am achieving with a new appreciation for my ability to move and participate. I am very grateful to Jason and Belmar Physical Therapy.

I started coming in after I injured my knee hiking and was completely overwhelmed by the constant pain and the limitations that it was causing in my life. Chelsey worked with me for over 4 months on my recovery and was incredible every step of the way. Chelsey is a master in her field, providing a combination of professional care, great conversations and a positive go forward attitude that helped make a very stressful experience so much more manageable. Chelsey taught me a great deal about functional exercises and I'm now incorporating many of the PT exercises she taught in my weekly workout regimes. I owe it to Chelsey that I'm able to go to the gym, hike, bike, ski and do all the things I used to again.

I was ready for surgery but he told me that he doesn't do surgery for the sake of doing it. If there are less invasive options to try first then we are going to go that route. Did I love that, absolutely not but he was right. I did later end up getting my subtalar joint fused which he told me was coming but expressed I was very active and younger at the time I wanted it and it wouldn't have worked for as long as it has. I was born with a club foot so we knew that wasn't the last surgery I would need and will need more in the future. He is not a dr that wants to see you in pain but he is not the Dr that will just jump into surgery because you think that's the best option. He did incredible on my fusion and I ONLY trust him for all my future surgeries. If your looking for a Dr to tell you how it is and give you options then this is your guy, If you think you are the Dr and know it all and demand one thing and want a Dr to jump head first into the opportunity for surgery he's not it! I have been seeing him for over 10 years and have NEVER encountered a negative experience.

He walked in the exam room did a few clinical exams and stated it's not your hip, it's your back. Go to physical therapy and if it's not better here is the spine guys card. Two of the physical therapists he recommended said not your back, it's your hip. Does he not read their progress notes? Three more months of unnecessary pain and a trip to the Mayo Clinic to be told, yep, not your back it's a chronically inflamed bursa of the hip. Not everyone can go to the Mayo Clinic and if Dr Thomas Eickmann was a decent clinician we would have treated in Denver. We have seen other providers at this office and had very positive outcomes.

I first went to one place out in the Highlands and had a terrible experience where the PT specialist didn't spend much one-on-one time with me and did a round of dry needling that didn't really help. I decided to try Elevations Physical Therapy after a colleague recommended this place and I am SO happy I did. Christian has worked magic on my shoulder with his dry needling and manipulation therapy of the muscle. He also spends the whole session one-on-one with me and gives me very doable exercises to do at home. He even provided me bands to use at home for my exercises. I can't recommend this place enough and working with Christian!!!

Sadly these folks have lost my business. After cancelling an appointment due to weather (read:…read moresafety) concerns, I got schooled about winter tires and the general pattern of snow in Colorado. Um really?! Well I've news for ya, new blizzaks are on the car, grew up in the Midwest snow belt and learned to drive in heavy snow. I'm more concerned about other folks in the burbs that do not plan for the weather or get stuck in ice - hence the recent 100 car pileup around here and the ice rink yesterday. Point is- go school the whole community if you're concerned about folks not having proper tires and/or know-how in general. Condescending folks are annoying. And there are lots of therapists around here so I'll find another one that has tact and cares about people and doing the right thing over trying to be passive aggressive. When the roads are a slick mess, common sense is to wait it out and avoid being on them unless necessary.
