They said originally that this 2nd surgery, a level 5 fusion should've taken 60- 90 mins., took nearly 4 hours because the damage that occurred was more extensive than expected. 3 days after surgery, I received a call from the CDC telling me I needed to get to an emergency room that day. I had been infected with staphylococcus they had traced to the hardware Dr Smith installed. Upon arrival at the hospital, staff immediately installed a Pic line to try a catch the infection that was ravaging my body. For the next 4 weeks I had to inject antibiotics directly to my heart at the cost of $500/day! Followed by a month of oral antibiotics. It is horrific what this clown put me through as the infection caused a hardening of my heart muscle tissue, reducing it's function to 40% of normal and am now on 6 ltrs of oxygen 24/7. In addition there is irreversible damage to my spine with extensive nerve damage. My life has been shortened by 20 years and I'll have to live with this pain till I die which could be any moment due to heart failure. Gee, thanks you f***ing a**hole! You ruined what life I may have left, including what my family has to endure watching me suffer. There is nothing they can do to help me. I pray for karma.

I am not taking any long-term medications, but I have PSA tests yearly. I'm a 78-year-old male. I saw a PA, Tess Henderson, who recommended the drug Prolia/Denosumab. I never saw an MD, and her recommendation did not account for my osteopenia rather than osteoporosis. The drug is not effective for osteopenia. Some of the side effects, both mild and serious, pose severe health risks. There was no discussion of the risks, especially kidney damage, and I have only one functioning kidney. Ms. Henderson was asked to determine the cost of the drug treatment (a lifetime treatment you cannot stop easily) and to let me know the patient's cost. I have yet to hear anything from Ms. Henderson regarding the co-pay. Blue Cross and Blue Shield initially denied the treatment. Without my consent or knowledge, Ms. Henderson requested a second review. Blue Cross and Blue Shield approved the drug treatment based on information resubmitted. There was no explanation for the change in the drug's approval. I I have tried to meet with the manager at Neurosurgery One. He declined my request without any explanation (no return phone call). I have also tried to obtain information from Blue Cross, but to no avail. Ms. Henderson, in my opinion, is practicing medicine without a license. I firmly believe that Neurosurgery One allows this type of practice. Under no circumstances should anyone become a patient of Neurosurgery One. It's a terrible practice, and no MD will be available when needed. Please don't go there because you may be putting your future health at risk. MDs do not supervise the NPs, allowing NPs to practice medicine without a license. MDs must be required to consult with patients and not abandon their practice of medicine by allowing Nurse Practitioners to make major medical decisions.

On Day 2, I didn't agree with my nutritionist Martha here when I had a conversation with her when we talked about nutrition. I paid $150 consultation. I am a healthy, athletic stunt performer in Motion Pictures and Television and since I know diets - I've gone through all of them - and my body my sleep deprivation is not due to what I am or not eating. I opened up and made changes. I also read the book she shared with me called How to Feed a Brain which is a high fats/low carb (ketogenic) diet. My naturopath shared this diet with me and I've been on/off for years now since I learned about this diet in 2015. While getting a NAD+ IV towards the end of my Day 2 here I was rushed to sign paperwork from Michelle. One pertaining to estimates of how much my treatments will cost for the weeks. This is poor patient/customer service. I felt rushed and was really stressed due to that issue. She could have waited until my IV was completed. We shall see if they are able to help me but as of now... I am not a big fan. Also Dr. Dan Engle isn't apart of Revive any longer. I reached out to him in regards to my sleep. He's never heard of someone like me having this issue. To note: I haven't talked to a real MD in Neurology here. I thought I'd be in a room full of neurologists. After these procedures were completed, Dr. Whitehead arrived indicating that I had an infection in my right ear and that it appears that there is water behind the drum. She prescribed an antibiotic. All in all, I was pleased with every aspect of my experience here today.

Of course, it is not possible to reach them directly - you have to go through Optum, which requires all of your identifying information. I explained the problem with the refill, and Optum was able to contact the practice and i was told I would be getting a call back. I never got a call. I called Optum again and was told the prescription had been filled. I called my pharmacy and was informed it had not been approved. I called Optum again this afternoon and with a considerable wait, was connected with an MA at the office. She informed me she would speak with Dr. Sorenson and call me back. Once again, I did not get a call. I have been flagrantly misled at least 3 times today. Simply stated, this shows a serious lack of professional integrity.

So the second time when I refused to let him draw he remembered me and went outside the room and got another guy. The new guy was better but here's the thing. Both were as painful as a person could stand, missed the vein several times and the after math was the worst thing .I was disabled with the 1guy for 3 weeks.black bruising and so sore mentire are couldn't touch with nerve damage and pain . Second guy much nicer and used vein finder but the healing part was insane. My inside elbow swelled up like a fist. I had bruising up and down my whole arm including hand a finger and trails of red bruising up and down my arm. Look like I had crushed my arm in accident. So painful couldn't sleep. Drs were great,nursing was outstanding,front desk great,no wait. But those IV techs need to go.
