I had seen a neurologist at this clinic back in 2013 after suffering a series of mini-strokes…read more Recently I had some concerns that made me want to get a check up and my primary doctor sent a referral to their office. When I called to make an appointment I was advised that Dr. Stambuck had left their practice and moved to Kaiser and that it was sort of a "policy" that none of their neurologists on staff "would accept new patients with existing histories". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was being told they wouldn't even give me a consultation just because I had a previous history of neurological related issues. They didn't even ask my name or review my history before advising this. It was just a "Sorry, we won't help you". To me, that is unprofessional and unethical.

Without any doubt, Dr. Trevor McNutt is the cream of the crop when it comes to neurology. a) He didn't pull the "oh, so that's what the OTHER doctor said, but I need to run all my own tests (which will cost you $$$) because I don't believe that you know your own health history/I am smarter than your doctor. Instead, he read my questionnaire with my history, asked a few questions, and really engaged me about my own health. b) While I have no idea about his personality in general, he seems nice, genuine and not full of hot air like many doctors. He gets you from the waiting from himself, writes his own prescriptions, talks to you like a person. Plus, his front desk staff is always awesome, timely, and seems happy. That's a good sign. c) He is creative. I've been through pretty much every barrage of meds for my migraines; both preventative and as they happen. However, he busted out not one, but TWO treatments that I haven't tried before. One didn't work, and the other (botox for chronic migraine) cut my migraines from 3-5 a week to about 1 a week. Talke about results. d) He'll go to bat for you with insurance (or at least his office staff will). Very few places have made me feel confident that they have my best interests (health and financial at heart). e) I'm usually in an out in less than 20, more if I have more questions. Little to no time in the waiting room, and since you seem him directly (rather than a slough of PAs), it seems less like a time trap, and more getting stuff done and getting out. I'd be happy to recommend him to any migraine sufferers; he really did change my life.

They would not return calls, offer any true treatment guidance or admit that they didn't have the answers and pass us on to someone who might. I'll never forget going to an appointment with her where I told Dr. Wolf that I was concerned about her health and asked him if he recommended I contact the mayo clinic for their opinion- his response was that he 'doesn't think it's that complicated' - my mom died less than two months later. No one even bothered to offer condolences after she passed away. I would not recommend any other family put their trust in this doctor! He simply appears uninterested in his patients. Every day I wonder if my dad, son and I could have had more time with my mom if only I had selected a doctor who actually gave a damn. This will haunt me for a long time.

My right arm had been falling asleep on and off for a while, no big deal. Well time went on, and it…read morewas getting worse, keeping me up at night. Then, as another month went by, my arm was falling asleep throughout the day as well, and staying asleep. My entire arm was numb, and there was pain in my hand, down to my fingers too. This wasn't going away. Something was up, and it was more than just "falling asleep" at night. I went to see my orthopaedic doctor. I wasn't sure if it was my shoulder and a pinched nerve, which I really thought it was, or my elbow, or my hand/wrist. After xrays, my doctor referred me to Dr. Marc M Treihaft, for an EMG, or nerve study. I made the appointment, and was lucky enough to get in, within several days. The staff in the office were very friendly. When Dr. Treihaft walked into the exam room, I wasn't sure what to expect, as I had never had a nerve study, otherwise called an EMG. He explained the process. We chatted about this and that, as he conducted the EMG study. The EMG did hurt a bit, little shocks, like when you accidentally touched an electrical socket when you were a kid. Once he was done measuring and doing the little electrical shocks (which didn't do any permanent damage or anything like that, you can tolerate it), he moved on to the needle part. Now when a small needle is inserted into the muscle, it will hurt a touch, and it did. It's just like getting a shot, rather several shots, over a few minutes. But, again, you can tolerate it. When he did this, he would put his hand against your arm, and say, "move your arm up," etc, which you do. These little "shots" are for a few seconds. It really is tolerable. Dr. Treihaft will tell you before he starts, that if at any time you are uncomfortable, to tell him, and he will stop. I knew that being a bit uncomfortable was worth it, as we needed to get to the bottom of what was causing my arm to be constantly numb now. Dr. Treihaft finished the test, and I thanked him for his time. My arm was sore, but nothing out of the ordinary. I took several Advil when I got home, and that did the trick. I know my referring doctor will get the results, and we'll go from there. As for other aspects of this review..... parking is in a large private parking lot. The office staff is very nice. I called back several days later, to ask a few questions, and they were on top of things. I was very appreciative. Thanks, Dr. Treihaft. No offense, hopefully I won't see you again, but if I do, I know I can count on you, and your staff, to do an excellent job, and treat me with respect as well. Thank you!

The receptionist stated 30-35 minutes longer. I asked to be rescheduled and she said it had to be re-approved. I left and called my claim examiner from workman's comp. I asked to be rescheduled and explained the situation. I just received a $100. Statement - for not showing up to my appointment! I was not told of this policy when I made the appointment, nor was it explained to me by the very grumpy receptionist. My claim examiner said workman's comp. would take care of it. The doctor clearly did not have time to see me. The receptionist could have explained the issue when I checked in. Isn't that the professional way to handle things when you are late? Perhaps she could have called ahead of time before I wasted the hour appointment and 50 minutes of driving. Perhaps she should schedule this greedy Doctor more time when she makes appointments. I won't waste anymore of my time. The office is old and dingy, the receptionist rude, and the wait unacceptable. This isn't rocket science in time management. After reading the few good reviews, I believe they were written by co-workers or friends of this Dr. Sorry, but the negative one's seem much more authentic.

*****STOP AND READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS*****…read more It is clearly an accurate description of this awful place. In January I was referred to Dr. Moon. My actual visit was great, and Dr. Moon is a very nice person. My referral for an MRI was initially denied due to lack of information. I call and call and call. If you have any needs, questions, follow ups YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. That means if you just need to know if they submitted the proper information to insurance for the mri they prescribed, you have to pay another $300+. The phone system has a million transfer options but most end with you getting hung up on. I decided to follow the prompt to the front desk, and I was immediately met with annoyance and told to follow the phone prompts. I explained that I followed every prompt and there isn't one for "I have a question that doesn't merit an appointment." So, I am placed into a voicemail. WEEKS GO BY. Literal weeks. I randomly get a call a month later from the office that included extensive apologies for being forgotten about. He promises he will get an appeal filed and will call me back himself with an update. That was a MONTH ago and still nothing. No calls, no answers and I still haven't been able to get the mri. This is pure insanity. *****THE POSITIVE REVIEWS MUST HAVE BEEN PAID FOR***** I am going to be stuck going to another neurologist and having to pay for the same visit twice which I refuse to do. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. if you value your health and your money.

Waste of time. After those doctors I tried a different doctor in the practice who was a seizure specialist and a foreigner (relevant for identification purposes, because I don't remember his name): he was great but I don't have seizures LOL. They will not call back no matter how many times you call. 2. They do not schedule or send reminders or tell you when you should be getting MRIs. Essentially they have no patient plan for new patients and will not check in or tell you next steps after your MRI read with the doctor. 3. They messed up my prescription and it took almost a month to get them to call in the prescription. I even physically went into the office and they still didn't do it when they said they would. 4. The office staff is awful. They act annoyed that your there and they have total attitude when you bring up your challenges. They also neglected to tell me my doctor changed locations so I drove there only to be turned away and the woman at the front desk basically said she's not responsible for that. I love my Dr. But may be looking elsewhere. I need a doctor and staff that cares about their patients. Unfortunately this is not them. I avoid yelp reviews but want to either encourage Blue Sky to get their act together or warn patients to find a more attentive and compassionate provider.

I developed a really bad case of vertigo late last year, and had it for about 2 months. Some days…read moreit was so severe, I literally felt like I was walking around drunk - everything was spinning, and I felt like I had to hold onto rails when I walked up and down stairs. I figured the condition was largely stress related (I'd never been so stressed out or anxious in my life), or possibly related to sleeping in some kind of bad position. I didn't know much about vertigo, and even though I'd researched it, I wasn't able to figure out a treatment that worked for me. Luckily, it seemed to go away over time - for the most part, though small bouts of vertigo did resurface a few times, but just for a day or two. My sister had the same issue that mysteriously appeared, then disappeared. Well, for whatever reason, I got vertigo again, last week. I don't know if it was triggered by my new aerobic exercise program or doing excessive neck stretching or what, but, all of a sudden the vertigo came back full force, and it was so bad I felt like I had to spend the whole day in bed on Friday. It was not good. I get really depressed when I am not feeling well or if I'm not being productive, so I could feel myself slipping into a really bad funk. Vertigo can make you feel really anxious because you feel really out of control when everything in your head feels like it's starting to spin around for no apparent reason! Well, I started doing more research and am thanking my lucky stars for the fact that I ran across this article, in which a man says he cured his vertigo by doing a simple exercise that was invented by Dr. Foster. You can read it here: https://www.menshealth.com/health/a28679454/benign-paroxysmal-positional-vertigo-treatment/ There was a link for a video she had on YouTube, so I clicked on it and tried it myself. Here's the link, if you want to see how to do the exercise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQR6b7CAiqk HO - LY - COW. I can't believe this simple, 5 minute exercise actually worked to cure my vertigo, when I'd been STRUGGLING with it for MONTHS, late last year. I do realize that the exercise may not address the underlying cause of the vertigo (I realize I may never know what triggered it), but at least I am back to being a functional human being again. We live in a day and age where it's VERY HARD to find a doctor who is willing to give out information for free. I even commented to a friend of mine, this afternoon, that a TRULY good doctor is one who tries to give you advice that's good enough so you don't even NEED to come in and see them. That is the kind of physician Dr. Foster clearly is. She says in the video that if this doesn't work to fix your vertigo, you can always come in and try other treatment options. Why can't EVERY doctor be like her?? I don't know if Dr. Foster will ever see this but if so, I just want to extend a huge amount of gratitude for sharing this really useful tip. I wish you could get a nobel prize for figuring this out....seriously. For anyone looking for a good neurologist who actually cares about their patients.... give Dr. Foster a call! She obviously cares about helping people to get better, and get on with their lives.
