I had seen a neurologist at this clinic back in 2013 after suffering a series of mini-strokes…read more Recently I had some concerns that made me want to get a check up and my primary doctor sent a referral to their office. When I called to make an appointment I was advised that Dr. Stambuck had left their practice and moved to Kaiser and that it was sort of a "policy" that none of their neurologists on staff "would accept new patients with existing histories". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was being told they wouldn't even give me a consultation just because I had a previous history of neurological related issues. They didn't even ask my name or review my history before advising this. It was just a "Sorry, we won't help you". To me, that is unprofessional and unethical.

In the past 15+ years, I have seen at least 10 neurologists for migraine management in four…read moredifferent states. Without any doubt, Dr. Trevor McNutt is the cream of the crop when it comes to neurology. a) He didn't pull the "oh, so that's what the OTHER doctor said, but I need to run all my own tests (which will cost you $$$) because I don't believe that you know your own health history/I am smarter than your doctor. Instead, he read my questionnaire with my history, asked a few questions, and really engaged me about my own health. b) While I have no idea about his personality in general, he seems nice, genuine and not full of hot air like many doctors. He gets you from the waiting from himself, writes his own prescriptions, talks to you like a person. Plus, his front desk staff is always awesome, timely, and seems happy. That's a good sign. c) He is creative. I've been through pretty much every barrage of meds for my migraines; both preventative and as they happen. However, he busted out not one, but TWO treatments that I haven't tried before. One didn't work, and the other (botox for chronic migraine) cut my migraines from 3-5 a week to about 1 a week. Talke about results. d) He'll go to bat for you with insurance (or at least his office staff will). Very few places have made me feel confident that they have my best interests (health and financial at heart). e) I'm usually in an out in less than 20, more if I have more questions. Little to no time in the waiting room, and since you seem him directly (rather than a slough of PAs), it seems less like a time trap, and more getting stuff done and getting out. I'd be happy to recommend him to any migraine sufferers; he really did change my life.

I went to Dr Kimball's office for a second opinion... I…read morewas in the waiting room for over an hour past my appointment time. When I was finally taken back to a room, I asked if I had the wrong time on my appointment, I was told no. After sitting in the back room for another 20 minutes I was told the PA would be in shortly. I told them he had 10 minutes, my time is worth something and this is ridiculous. As I was getting up to leave, the PA finally came in. He only had an excuse of the doctor had been called out on an emergency and all the patients had been dumped on him. I know we all get busy and schedules change, but there is no excuse to not advise me of the delay and offer to reschedule. I left his office, without having him review my issues and called my insurance company immediately to advise them of the situation and that I was not to be billed for an appointment. Dr Kimball may be wonderful Doctor, but his staff has issues and needs to be retrained .... there is no excuse to not advise someone that they are running 90 minutes behind and offer to reschedule.

"The first visit was good but here is why I would never have Dr. Kimball ever do another surgery…read moreAGAIN. 1st surgery the implant was installed wrong! YES WRONG. Post-op & again 6 weeks later I said it was not working correctly. I had a x-ray which showed it was not right but the same as the surgery picture. So he said it moved, right blame anyone but be a MAN and say I screwed up, no it never moved was the same. Kimball did the 2nd surgery to implant the device correctly 4 months later.... yes 4 months later, placed it right but sent me home with a medication script that couldn't be filled for 15 days, yes 15 count them 15 days after surgery. WTH he seems to not care about his practice or his patients. He doesn't do any post-op care his PA Sean McGree does all the exams. Sean never does his job that he tells you he will do and it seems that these two so call medical care people never talk. Sean puts down notes but if there is a problem that he seams not to tell Kimball or the Kimball plays dumb to blame his staff. Kimball is the worst surgeon I have had and I have had 14 spinal surgery's! His surgery scheduler is rude and crude, hard to get in touch with. His front desk personnel are clueless to transfer call's before they understand why are you calling. I'm Know they have do medical degree. I read his write-ups and the bad ones seem very correct. Kimball & McGree need to loose their medical licenses before they seriously injure a patient(s) there people not just a number!!"
