Very rude and uncaring front office. Wanted me to pay copay for not my account. Never apologized. Fairly old, not updated facility. Most surgery canters call you the day after. Not this facility. Dr. Craig Loucks gave me a new left hip at the center. The joint is not the most inviting of atmospheres but in truth I was there for one purpose, bells and whistles really did't matter. The doctor did a fantastic job and now seven weeks later I'm thrilled and 90% healed. The staff at the center were all fantastic from the front desk to the person who helped get me in the car to go home. Fancy, nicely decorated place it ain't. Good, friendly, solid care it was. I barely would give this place 1 star. Completely disappointed with the treatment I received. I felt like I was in a factory on an assembly line. Hurry up get checked in, have 5 people talking to you at once, get your procedure done, hurry up and wake up. Then while you're barely awake they're giving you your discharge instructions. No ounce of compassion at all. My recommendation is not to go here if you don't have to. read more

I sent an inquiry in the middle of last week and I have not even had the courtesy of a return message. I questioned whether this office would be able to assist me in my medical crisis - so I was prepared for them to send a response indicating they would not be able to assist me. Nada, nothing, zilch is what I heard from them. I am in the legal service industry and have been trained over 30 years and have had one thing drilled into me - you are in a service industry and you are only as good as the last service you have provided for the client. Clearly, either this center was never trained in service or they think that they are so vital that they do not feel the need to be constrained by the norms of customer service. I note that most of the 2020 reviews have been negative. I wonder why? read more

Due to Covid, the family members are not allowed in the surgery center, so in 90° weather, I'm currently sitting in my car 6 hours. Absolutely no contact from the surgery center. None. I wouldn't know if my family member is dead or alive. When I went inside, they screened me and then sent me to reception. They said that he would be moved somewhere in about 20 minutes. That was two hours ago. Also still no word from the doctor or nurses. .VERY VERY poor customer service during Covid. They should definitely be more sensitive are sitting in the parking lot worried about family. read more

Excellent care, coordination, communication - everything. Staff and providers were so friendly and informative. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I was educated on the pre and post-op instructions and payment due the day of surgery. The facility is small and had no trouble finding it or navigating inside. My surgery went well and am in recovery phase now. read more

My experience was exceptional. I was greeted promptly, processed and had a short wait time until I was taken back for my procedure. Everyone was professional and did their jobs well. I had no bruising from the IV and no pain from the procedure. The nurses all worked well together and the doctor was efficient and communicated with me prior to the procedure as well as during and after. Can't say enough good things and I will return if I need another procedure in the future. read more

ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY, NOT THE PATIENT. The center is requiring me to bring over $1200 the day of surgery, or I cannot have needed hip surgery. The manager Elizabeth was INCREDIBLY RUDE AND UNCARING, and said "it was other people that don't pay their bills so therefore their policy is that everyone pays up front." Not my problem if other people default on their medical bills, but I shouldn't be penalized. She told me I should go get a credit card. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL YOUR DOCTOR AND RESCHEDULE YOUR SURGERY WITH A HOSPITAL OR DIFFERENT SURGERY CENTER that will work with you making payments. Save yourself a headache and the pain of arguing with Elizabeth who does not care about whether or not you have bills to pay or the pain you are living with. read more

I was scheduled for surgery this morning for my right shoulder and was so happy to finally get it fixed . My deductable has been met there should have been no out of pocket expenses at all and insurance already approved the procedure. I was hit with a $4500.00 co- pay, which at first I offered to put $100.00 dollars down and be billed the rest. NOPE! I OFFERED $300.00 and to make payments. NOPE! Minimum $2200.00 up front. We are in the middle of a Pandemic, like most...only one person in my household working but I was willing to pay in increments and it wasn't good enough for their greed. They could have told me upfront what my cost would have been and I could have not had my spouse(the only one employed) take the day off. Maybe a day of those wages would be good enough to help someone heal and not remain in anguish. Shame on you Cherry Creek Surgery Center! read more

This surgery center was clean and convenient. The nurses and anesthesiologist were knowledgeable and everything ran on time and according to plan. If it was just based on that I would rate this surgery center a 5/5 based on day of experience. Unfortunately my experience was pretty terrible in terms of the billing process. I knew going into it that they were out of network (they choose to not be in network with any providers) but was told several times that their charges reflect in network prices. They did keep their promise to honor in network prices for the surgery center charge but it took 11+ months to figure it out and some harassing on my part. The billing department was severely delayed in everything they do and rarely return a phone call. Also, the anesthesiologist was out of network and charges accordingly. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone somewhere else due to the cost of the anesthesiologist and the big time hassle with the billing. read more

OK after reading a lot of positive and a lot of negative about Cherry creek surgery center I had the opportunity to actually be a patient there. I went in there not expecting what to find after reading both good and bad.When I first got there I did not like the fact that you enter into a room were there is no light over the entryway walking into a dark room and then into a Waiting room which was well lit. I had no idea what awaited me. I was there to have carpal tunnel surgery done on my wrist. From the prep till I walked out the door everything and everybody was fantastic believe it or not I thoroughly enjoyed it can't wait for two more weeks to get the other wrist done. Dr Yi and his staff were great made me feel right at home even though I was far from home. I really am looking forward to the other wrist next week. And for those of you that think it's a Cattlecall wait to try a real hospital that's a Cattlecall believe me I've been there fantastic set up with modern equipment look like great operating room I was very comfortable with it and the people running the place They know exactly what they're doing and try to make you feel comfortable possible I would highly recommend this to anyone. They billed me incorrectly, and while they did eventually get it figured out, I would not recommend this place when there are so many other well-managed surgery centers in the area. read more

Yikes. It's a factory, not a place for optimal care. Patients were being shuffled through at warp speed, anesthesiologists were sticking nerve blocks in patients without the benefit of sedation, a neurosurgeon said "We'll just peek around in your spine " to another patient. They sent me out the door with no info on what drugs I had received - and that put my life at risk by sending my blood glucose out of control. They didn't call to follow up on how I was post-op. I haven't seen the final bill, but the preliminary one is over $9000 for 3hours of substandard care. No bargain - I'm just glad I made it out alive. In the future, all of my procedures will be done in a surger center at a hospital! read more

May 2016 - A year and a half after my crazy billing incident, I got a call from Tracy at the Surgery Center. She informed me that they had replaced the entire staff at the Billing department and she cared enough to look back at my records and agreed that mistakes were made on my billing from my surgery. Hats off to her for caring enough to fix the situation and realizing that the billing department was in essence making lives difficult for people. She has since corrected the situation and gave me a refund. Given that my only complaint with this facility was the billing nightmares I had and that they have cleaned house and fixed these problems, I have no complaints at all about the facility. The quality of the surgery and cleanliness of the facility was top notch and I honestly cannot fault them on any of those. Thank you Tracy for fixing the problems! ------------------------------------------------------------------ I am in the middle of a nightmare experience with this surgery center. I had to have an emergency surgery and they called me the night before my surgery took place saying they are out of network with my provider, but they would file as in-network and no difference in what I have to pay. They then took a down payment for my $2500 deductible plus extra. 5 months later I find out they filed as out of network which has a separate $2500 deductible on my plan as well as a 60/40 split rather than 80/20 coverage. Now I have bills stacking up and they are not stepping up to remedy the issue. STAY AWAY from this place! They will tell you anything to take your money and leave the customer high and dry. The billing is absolutely horrible. I would definitely say go somewhere else. They don't even return calls. read more

What an awesome experience! My wife had a full knee replacement done by Dr Stull at this facility. From the time we checked in until checking out the next day, the staff were all wonderful, caring and compassionate. From the paperwork to the instructions on how to use the medical recovery equipment, they were thorough and patient. A special shout out to Lilla, our prep and recovery nurse. She was one of a kind. My son had shoulder surgery here and it was a great experience. Dr. Hewitt was awesome and his team took great care of my kid. I trusted the anesthesiologist Dr. Miller and knew my son was in good hands. I noticed a lot of the reviews have to do with the billing department. I had a different experience when I called to clarify a bill issue. The administrator took her time explaining everything to me since I find insurance stuff confusing, especially when I got the EOB (explanation of benefits) and it was a lot more than the bill actually was. And don't let the out-of-network scare you off. Just call and ask them to explain it to you, or ask for the administrator. read more

Nurses had difficulty starting my iv...several tried...I was bruised severely up and down my arm. Then they called my son in law to come get me an hour before they released me, leaving him sitting in the waiting room leaving his business unattended to. Then came the billing, they billed me for my deductible but failed to bill my insurance for almost 3 months leaving me to owe my deductible to other quicker billing health care professionals, then they refused to return my deductible when requested. Now they expect me to realize to them the check sent by my insurance company in a lesser amount to my deductible that I over paid them, they are making me feel they will turn me ove to collections. I would never never never use them again read more

Although the facility was nice & clean, the staff was polite, the billing process is horrendous. They are out of network so that they can set whatever price they want in order to get top $$$ from your insurance. And their prices are at least 2-3 times the average for the procedures that are performed in their facility. Their people promise you that "we will handle it" when billing your insurance, and will smile as they take your co-pay, also an arbitrary number that they confabulate, and it doesn't get handled. We are 7 months out from a procedure and the insurance issues are still not settled. Plus, now they are saying they are going to bill us for the procedure. Yes, that is the same procedure that their billing department was going to handle since we are not "in your network." Well, here's some news--they do not contract with any networks. Do yourself a favor. Find out your network facilities & ask your physician if they can operate at a different facility. Avoid these people all together. Your life will be much easier. read more

I had meniscus repair knee surgery on Monday, July 28th and I was very hesitant about this center based on the previous reviews. I had also had 8 surgeries previously through the years and was very nervous as I am typically ill 2-3 days after the procedure due to anesthesia. I have to say that from the moment my surgery was scheduled the billing and scheduling departments were very professional. I arrived at the center at 6:15 AM for my 7:30 AM procedure. There was no waiting. I had previously been contacted by the billing department and knew exactly what my co-pay was going to be. I paid this up front and was assured there would be no additional charges. Based on what I have seen in previous reviews, I would not be shocked if I got another bill. The nurses who cared for me were very good (Lisa & Kathy?). The anesthesiologist (Olga?) was exceptional. She took my concerns about anesthesia very seriously and was very prepared. I was promptly taken to surgery at 7:30 AM and was in a car headed home by 9:30 AM. I never had any issues with nausea. After previous surgeries, I felt the nurses were trying to push me out the door as fast as they could. At this center the staff makes sure you are awake and coherent before they start trying to get you dressed and out the door. read more

This Surgical Center is out of my network, which I learned one hour before the procedure! I had to sign papers saying I had "chosen" to have surgery in this "physicians-owned facility". This is not true, and I did not have a choice since I had not been informed previously of Cherry Creek Surgical Center status. Just to show how "well run" it is, my recorded date of birth was 31/12/1840, which was not entirely corrected once I called their attention on it and I could not get a copy of the papers I signed. Moreover, I did not appreciate the lack of privacy when I had to answer the nurse's questions in the pre-op room in presence of two other patients (I also learned their history!) and I do not think the anesthesiologist paid enough attention when I told him my sister and father had had pulmonary embolism after surgery. He was too excited to see a 172 year old patient after reading my date of birth. To confirm the bad impression I had from the beginning, I had a pulmonary embolism two days later. In fairness, the surgery itself went very well, but it could have been done elsewhere, under better circumstances. read more
