After buying a 2 carat diamond ring that was a gift from my husband for having our baby two stones fell out of my ring within 4 months. The first they were willing to fix because it was right after purchase. The second - despite having the stone in my possession - they would not put back in. Clearly there was an issue with the setting that they were not interested in taking care of once they had our money. They cited the fact I did not purchase their several hundred dollar warranty. I have never needed a warranty for fine jewelry before because a reputable store would fix this, especially after such a short time. This is just a money making chain of stores. The warranty is void they push like crazy is voided and nonrefundable if you do not come in EVERY 6 MONTHS and have the ring checked. Who with children or working full-time can every six months of their life come in and have the ring checked? No one does that and it is a commission-based scam to get more money from you. Because they are lab-grown diamonds they are not worth anything if you try to resell them either. I was shocked and appalled that they were okay with me walking around with a broken diamond ring after 4 months. The products are clearly low quality and the customer service a farce. We decided to start our wedding band search for both Kevin and me and this was the first jeweler we stopped at. Gary approached us asking what we were looking for, and I told him both rings. He showed me a few of the rings that might look good with my ring, and there was one that I liked. He asked if he could write it up for puchase, I said no, we were just starting our search and wanted to see what was out there. We then asked him about the men's rings, and pointed us over to men's, not showing us or giving us information on rings. So we were back on our own. We spent a few moments looking at the men's wedding bands when we were approached by another sales person, but we turned them away just saying we were looking. Shortly after, another lady comes over. Kevin didn't want the help, but I asked her anyways. Amber was a huge delight. She showed us the different kinds of rings and tolds us the different information on the rings. She asked us if we wanted her to write down the information on a card so we would know which ones we were interested in. She even went back to mine to write that down, and showed me another ring she thought would match, and it did, better than the one Gary showed us! She was happy to help us and very friendly, even though we were just looking. She was really the one that helped us moving forward and knowing what we wanted to look for at all the other stores. One star for Gary and five for Amber. We are not going to go back to purchase because we found ones that we loved more at another store and that were more for our budget. read more

My fiancé has been a little more picky through this process than I was, and Josh was amazing in helping him!! He went through countless options with us and listened to what my fiancé had envisioned. We ended up building the perfect ring for him. I had never stepped foot in a Helzberg before today but now I will absolutely recommend them (and Josh!!! seriously, he was the best!!!). I don't know of any other jeweler with a loyalty or marketing program like Helzberg. My husband bought me a ring for graduation a couple years ago and some jewelry on special occasions from Helzberg. Since those purchases, his name has been on their list and for our anniversary and my birthday, they have sent us cards with a free gift (have to go to store to pick up). Talk about speaking my love language! This is definitely a relationship with benefits! We've been into this particular location a few times and each time we have been met by friendly sales associates. They haven't ever pressured us to buy anything and believe me I have been known to "window shop" the jewelry cases planning my next big purchase. I've purchased other significant pieces of jewelry (e.g., husband's wedding band) at other high end jewelers and I've never received a card from them...they should take note of Helzberg and follow suit. Definitely when it comes to customer service and above-and-beyond satisfaction, Helzberg has it down! read more

I went in here to get my engagement ring resized. I was so upset on the possibility of giving my ring over to strangers and the possibility of not seeing it for a while! The staff was wonderful, and even through computer difficulties, they were really nice. The reasoning for my two star review is for one detail of my experience here. My fiance purchased this ring, as a surprise. Clearly, I was never meant to know the price of this ring. Maybe some people go pick out rings together, but I feel like mostly, grooms are picking these out for a surprise or gift etc...Well in order to get my specific ring resized they had to send it off and get an entirely different ring. The same style etc, just a different ring that fit. The cashier printed out the reciept and gave me a copy. I felt very uncomfortable knowing the amount of my engagement ring and thought it to be a little classless. Maybe this is a common practice that I am unaware of, but I did not like it. I did enjoy the politeness and courtesy staff and overall thought this store had a great selection of products. My husband brought me a diamond ring from Helzberg Diamonds in November 2016 with a warranty. We went back in February 2017 and all the stores in Raleigh, NC was closed. We called the main number to ask how I could get my diamond inspected twice a year when the stores were closed in our area. They said I would need to either drive to Fayetteville, NC (over 1 hour a way - one way) or ship it to them. Well, I will not be sending my ring in the mail. And we would never have brought the warranty if we knew then that we would have to drive over an hour away twice a year for the inspection. I do not recommend this company. read more

I would give Helzberg at Carolina place a million stars if I could. My fiance got my ring from here back in July. A couple weeks ago, I was using bolt cutters to cut a lock off of a storage unit and it popped one of my small diamonds on it. Knowing we had insurance, I didn't panic... However, when I called and they told me it could take 2-3 weeks to be repaired, I freaked out because my wedding was 14 days away! Talk about cry fest 2018! I called the manager weeping explaining to her my situation. She assured me she would rush the repair and have it done in one week. We dropped my ring off that same day (Friday)... Sunday my fiance gets a call... It was done! Not only was it repaired, it was cleaned and looked brand new again. They put my repair at the top of the list and made it first priority so that I would have my ring by my wedding day. They were so friendly, empathetic and reassuring. Best customer service ever. I ordered some charms online for a Mother's Day gift for In store pickup and decided I would also bring along my charm bracelet which is covered under a lifetime warranty to have my charms replaced. My fiancée who was an overseas contractor amen has served for the UNited States of America in Afghanistan at the time purchased my charm bracelet in Fayetteville NC in 2010. Since then I have had charms replaced at locations in Raleigh, and two malls in Charlotte, NC, Northlake and Concord without issues. I have all my receipts from all my transactions I would present those with my booklet and swap out my beads for new beads and even special order beads that were unavailable in store. Yesterday I went about 30 mins out of my way to the Carolina Place Mall location I never go to. Only to be accused by the manager Julie Hatcher of presenting a warranty for a bracelet that was not covered, purchasing two bracelets and maybe purchasing a warranty for one bracelet. I was appalled I was put through the ringer about purchasing location being in Fayetteville and if the inspection card / receipt was purchased in Raleigh. I informed the manager that this was a bday gift from My fiancée at the time and I did not know all the details however Raleigh is a mere hour away from Fayetteville and we would drive there all the time . She asked his name and telephone number put me through the ringer and stated that other employees were not doing their jobs. The questions and requests for details and information did not end there. She embarrassed me had another employee doing a 5 minute inventory look up to replace my beads which of course resulted in all 4 being unavailable. I informed the client that the martini glass in particular was online the day before. I viewed the glass as I was ordering the charms I was in the store to pick up. My broken martini glass still had all of the necessary pieces and it was fixed to hang onto my bracelet however it was missing gems. One was fixed in the store then a last minute hustle to look in the glass to replace one. I went home with all the broken charms. The martini glass was fixed then replaced with one off the floor. My order which was a gift for my mom was given without a gift box, just placed in some bags. I was utterly embarrassed and hurt I stated to the manager "I will never come here again to this store or this mall this is exactly why I don't come here". The entire time she talked to me in a very condensending tone at that point I stated that I was going to leave just give me my stuff I'm gone that's it! She made a last minute haste to get my information and stated that she would contact her district manager to see what the policy would be to replace my beads or credit me for new ones. I have visited four locations in the state of North Carolina and had never had an experience like that! I am a young black woman who was embarrassed hurt and appalled by my treatment at this store. I have been a customer for years! With all that's going on in America it truly makes me both angry and sad. The fact that racist thinks it's ok to act this way saddens me! Carolina place mall Helzeberg diamonds location manager who's been Employed there for 18 years might need to be taught how to treat people regardless of age and skin tone! I'm disgusted! read more
