Following botched surgery at FHH, I could not walk, use hands or even think clearly. Ordinary needs…read moresuch as toileting and bathing were actually dangerous for me to even try to perform. After a month plus with Community Rehab, being home I needed help. Comm Rehab staff raved about R@H. Best decision I could have made! The aides are very kind and willing to try anything to help! Several have taken me to Dr.'s appts, picked up prescriptions and even groceries! They also clean my room, even changing my bed sheets, wash my floor. Bathing me is a Ghodsend, and helping me dress (still not fully able). They also take me shopping in their cars and push me in my wheelchair! I had never heard of home nursing providing any of these! All are non-judgemental, and open to anything new! Having someone with me during recent eye surgery was such comfort. One dear lady nagged me out of bed and move! The negative comments here make me think there was more to the story. They also help my daughter, who is very disabled mentally with CP, now stuck at home since day programs are cancelled. Her caregiver is exhausted, and always they offer her help and needed break. I would recommend Right at Home with enthusiasm! Try them!

Not only don't they lessen your workload, Right at Home increases your workload! The first person…read morethey sent to care for my mother just wanted to sit on her cell phone for 4.5 hours out of 6 hours at $36 per hour. The second person they sent was very soft spoken and had a strong accent. My mother who is 92 couldn't hear her most of the time and, when she could, she couldn't understand her. The third person that was scheduled was a no show. I didn't receive any notice, a phone call, anything. So I was left with no assistance and had to cancel an appointment for myself. Regarding the fourth person they said was coming on a Tuesday after a three day holiday weekend; they call me at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to tell me that the lady that was scheduled to come was not getting back in town until today so I was on my own once again for the day. Again I had to cancel my commitments for the day and my mother, as well as my 94 year old father, woke up from the phone call. Also, sometimes multiple people will call you regarding the same subject and other times no one will call you. They dial your number and have you hold while they try to figure out what they were calling you for. They are extremely disorganized, unreliable, and couldn't care less how they impact your day due to their incompetency. This agency is useless! I strongly recommend that you spare yourself the headaches they cause and find an agency that can provide your love ones with the care and compassion they deserve.

This was one of the better at-home services we utilized, although none of them really met the level…read moreof expectations I had for my Mom. There were challenges with having consistency in receiving the same caretaker, which meant that you have to go through the process again of needs, routine, etc. each time. It was also difficult for my Mom to have continuous change once she got comfortable with someone. We also had occasions where the caretaker did not show up or was late and did not always receive advance notice of this being the case beforehand. This presented problems as well. Our Family ended up cancelling the service and eventually using Hospice, which was a great experience. This was a decent service, but really did not meet our needs overall.

Home Instead has done a wonderful job of supplying part-time caregivers for our parents, enabling…read morethem to stay in "independent" housing rather than assisted living. They've been able to respond to emergency requests for additional assistance (like needing overnight care for Mom when Dad is in the hospital). Every caregiver won't be a perfect match for every client, but they will juggle schedules around until a good match is found. You can have preferred "substitutes" as well, but it makes sense that there are times when a caregiver is out sick and you just have to make do with whoever is available. Some have been more efficient and effective than others, but all have been friendly and kind. You can make a consultation appointment to find out more and have your questions answered. They have earned our confidence, trust, and gratitude!

I just want to be heard…read more I gave everything I had as a caregiver with Amada Senior Care Tulsa Oklahoma-- 40-60 hour weeks, full dedication, and love for the families I cared for. I spoke up for their safety, asking again and again that only trained caregivers be sent. Instead of support, I was ignored and then punished. After June 16th, I was completely cut off. My hours were taken; i was told repeatedly there was no work to be had from june20th until july3rd. I was removed from AXIScare (so I couldn't even see shifts) and taken off COAChUp -- the portal that was supposed to recognize and uplift employees. My supervisor told me he was the "highest level" and that I could "only talk to him -- not HR, not scheduling, not anyone else." I was left isolated, erased, and voiceless. Amada talks about God, family, grace, and Agape love. But I never experienced that. What I experienced was retaliation, abandonment, and hurt. I can't afford an attorney, and no one seems able to help me, but I refuse to stay silent. I want people to know the truth of how caregivers can be treated behind the scenes. If you want to know more, message me. the one star is for the in-house staff that treated me very badly. My supervisor, Hr. I tried to let the CEO know but never got a response from him...

Unfortunately, my sister and her husband chose this agency. My sister and her husband travel a lot. I attempted to contact Amada to ensure that they have my information in case of an emergency. They have not acknowledged that they will communicate with me. This is alarming because 1) my sister doesn't have POA and 2) would they call me if my sister is away and my parents have an emergency. Based on what my parents are paying for this, the owners of Amada must be doing very well. It's really highway robbery. I don't know how much longer they can afford this. Assisted living is far more affordable. Residents have private apartments with nutritious meals. Access to nurses, pt, ot and speech therapy. Plus social interaction with their peers. I would not recommend this care for anyone.
