When I first visited him, his somewhat brusque nature of engagement took a bit of time to get used to, but frankly given his depth of knowledge and ability to make things right, I am happy to completely ignore it/have gotten used to it. I actually enjoy it these days - there is an embedded dry sense of humor which I find makes me mentally chuckle. Back to his expertise, which is what I am really paying for: His combination of exercises, dry needling and other routines are absolutely on point. When he tells me to start/stop doing something, I know he is right. If I do what he says, I get better. If I don't, it is exactly what he predicts (example, stop a specific kind of exercise or it will continue hurting and yep, he's right. Or, start wearing these sort of shoes and it will improve and yep, he's right, Or, if you don't treat that part with ice for more than 20 minutes you will not heal, and yep, he's right - the list goes on). His dry needling treatments are incredibly effective. I was surprised by how they unlocked muscle pain immediately. I absolutely will recommend him to anyone. I prefer to pay for experts who are really good at their job and he is at the top of the list.

I arrived for my 2pm appointment at 1:50pm and was called back to Dr. Haendler's office almost immediately. The appointment started with a 10 minute consultation with Dr. Haendler where he asked about my medical history, etc. I was then escorted, by the doctor, to a room where he did a preliminary testing of my spine, shoulders, etc. At this time he was able to get an idea of the areas needing attention. I suffer from vertigo, so the level of treatment that I received was slightly different from other patients not having the same diagnosis. Dr. Haendler used a handheld device to make adjustments to parts of my body rather than his hands. It was a more gentle approach. After this, I was taken into a room where I was placed in a massage-type chair for about 15 minutes. I found myself falling asleep...it did it's job! I was relaxed! You had the option to keep the lights on while you were in the quiet room receiving the back massage or you could leave them on. I chose to leave them on as my husband and 2 year old sat in the room with me. After about 15 minutes of calm, the doctor came in, assisted me off of the table/chair (he was extremely considerate of my condition with vertigo-he was careful to ensure that the treatment did not throw my vertigo into action) and escorted me to the final phase of the treatment. Dr. Haendler talked me through every action that he took and explained each step. He even ensured my comfortability by encouraging my husband to accompany me throughout my visit. He not only explained everything to me, but to my husband as well. Needless to say, I was thoroughly pleased with my experience with Dr. Haendler and his practice. I will return!
