If I could rate this company a zero, I would. Whatever you do, don't EVER hire helping hands moving company. Recommended through uhaul. Mom had an appointment scheduled for 1pm on Sunday March 1st. 1pm rolls around. No one. Called the company and they said they were 10mim away. Fine. Things happen and their last move went over. I can understand that. 1:30 rolls around, still no one. Call the company, no answer. 1:45, no answer. 2, no answer. 2:15, no answer. 3pm, no answer. And you get the picture. It's now 9:47 the next morning. No one ever showed up. And STILL no answer. Mind you my mother is disabled. And can not move anything, especially heavy furniture. Paid for "3 Movers for 2 hours" for a uhaul unload, scheduled to show up at 8:30am. Guy shows up at like 11:30. Notice I said "Guy" yeah, one adult and his 15 and 17 year old nephews. Guess his "normal crew" weren't available. Well these kids had no experience with either moving or hard work, it was honestly painful watching them try to move furniture. After watching them drop my dryer down a flight of stairs as the one dude tries to dolly it with the two kids just watching, slack-jawed, I suggested maybe put a moving blanket down first (to try and not scratch the side that's touching metal?) and I sh*t you not, the one kid puts the blanket over the top of it. Like dude, it's not cold! Ended up w/ scratched and dented walls from furniture strikes, my dryer is all scratched and dented and overall ended up having to help the one dude move half of the heavy items since the kids he had w/ him weren't any help. Also, fairly sure these kids couldnt' read. Had boxes marked "basement" upstairs, boxes marked "master bedroom" in the garden shed. After they left my wife and I spend hours re-moving boxes to where they were supposed to go. Should have caught it at the time but was pretty sleep deprived after driving for four days. Reported this to the owner (I think? Some dude named Sultan) and got a whole "oh really? Well I'll call the guy" and nothing comes of it. Ha, this was funny though. Paid 'em, then like an hour later he calls me wanting to know where his money was and why I haven't paid. Explain that it's showing as paid and received on my end (through zelle) and he just goes "oh" and hangs up on me. Nothing more, no "sorry", just...A+ service from beginning to end. Way to keep it classy guys. Wouldn't have booked w/ em if I wasn't cancelled on by my first choice movers, but honestly I would have been better off w/o 'em. Costs more than just the poor labor, now I'm looking at hours of my time to repaint and fix gouges in drywall and scrapes in my furniture. Stay away! read more

These guys start off nice and polite. You may speak to a gentleman by the name of Sultan. Very nice . Chou schedule, you pay, you plan and then all hell breaks loose. 1st you just think their late. Then they're " having trouble at another job and can't get to you" so they have to come the next day.. and guess what then the next day comes and you're quoted a time and you wait and wait and they just never show ! No call, no email, no messages. Would not answer their phone or messages all day. This is fair warning to y'all.. especially if you've read the review previous to mine. Do NOT hire this company. I cannot express how strongly I feel about this operation. They did not even show up! Their phone was not answered most of the time. When they did answer, he kept telling me the truck is on its way. A no show. Called at 9am to confirm the 10am time the day off. Spoke to someone at +1 (440) 973-6525. He said between 10-11. Waited until 11:30. Was told there was a mix up and they would be ther in 30-40 minutes. Waited until1pm. Called again and texted no response. very unprofessional. Do NOT use this company! Came to my house to move an elliptical and end up destroying my house! Scratched my wooden floor, put a hole in a door and ripped apart the ceiling. They have no insurance and are unwilling to resolve the destruction they made! read more

Wish I would've read these reviews before wasting my time hiring them. I arrived at my storage unit at the agreed upon time to load for a long distance move. After they were 15 minutes late I texted, no reply. Then I called and was told he couldn't reach the other mover and he thought he was as still asleep (we agreed to meet at 6am). Needless to say I never heard back and all my communications were ignored the remainder of the day. Totally disappointed and runtimes my move which had to be postponed until the following weekend with a reputable company. read more

Have been waiting for them to show up since noon. It is now 10 pm. Have spoken to both a woman and Sultan and both have promised only an hour delay. They will not answer they're phones anymore. Helping Hand was the low bidder of the four from Yelp. They came on a Sunday so we could get the sofa to the curb for Monday pick up. I used to be a warehouse worker and these two guys were quite competent for the straightforward task at hand. read more

Helping Hands Movers is a fraudulent company. One of the movers, Demetrius, was not only the most unprofessional person I've ever met but he was also verbally abusive. I had to tell him which direction to park 6 different times. After the 6th time, one of the building employees had to explain it to him a 7th time. He happened to damage one of my dining chairs. When I pointed out the damage, he completely freaked out and caused an enormous scene in the middle of my lobby. Once he got up to my floor, he randomly started screaming down my hall that HE IS NOT A SLAVE. First of all, this was completely unprecedented and I was simply telling him where my condo was located. Also, I'm half black and it was insanity. My bed was not properly put together and the bed frame broke that night. The owner of this company, Sultan, was contacted and he claimed he was going to come out to put the bed back together as well as look at my damaged chair but he stood me up 3 times. This company answers the phone with "Movers". This is a fraudulent move to not be liable by stating their name when answering the phone. Avoid this company at all costs.
