This would be a one star review if the owner didn't call me back a 2nd time. Booked a small job (5 items) and, of course, they have a minimum: 3hrs + truck rental = $309. Was suggested to me by the rep I first contacted that they could take unwanted items to Goodwill (or charity of my choice) with the "extra time" that wouldn't be used on such a small job. When I booked the job (with the owner!) he reiterated that option also. I also told them that I would have a big job coming up in the near future - thinking they'd be on their best behavior. The truck driver/mover showed up and immediately said he had time constraints (more jobs) and it was up to his discretion if he took any items to Goodwill. When he got some "push back" he said he called the office and got no answer. So: two lies. There were no other jobs that day for him. Also: he *did* call the office and got into an argument with the owners wife. I asked for the owner to call me to discuss. My interaction with Kevin was not what I expected. At one point I even said "do you care at all about what I'm saying or just waiting for me to finish so you can get off the phone?!?" No apology, no interest in what I was saying... The owner called me back after some time - seems he got the opportunity to speak to his wife and to talk one-on-one with the mover. His attitude had changed quite a bit. The fact that he didn't initially believe me and blew me off is really frustrating. What is ultimately most important is that he's not going to replace this employee with someone who cares (and is honest). I'm sure no one is surprised that the next job is going to another business. Also: I'm out of state. The other people involved are all local. They will be using word of mouth to let everyone they know about their experience with "Help U Move". read more

These movers were incredible! I have moved many times, professionally and on own... across country....From Kevin...to the packers to the 4 movers...Morgan, Mike, Andrew and Miguel.... just efficient , professional , nice and they worked hard..moved us into a Scottsdale high rise on a day of 114 degrees! We had a small move going a short distance and Help U Move got us moved with only one day notice. The price was very reasonable and Morgan and Mike did a great job. Both were polite and very helpful. I do recommend them and would use this company again. read more

Gotta say that these guys are the best! They come out to give you an estimate and tell you how much time it will take from start to finish. They promise to take good care of you and your belongings and deliver on that promise! They charged $75 an hour and never took a break during the move and had good attitudes throughout the work time. We would not recommend this business for your moving. The owner was not pleasant to deal with. Had scheduled several different moves in same location (remodel) and given times. The first time was changed yet no one showed up until hours later. Only contact number was their office which they do not check on weekends. The movers themselves were pleasant but not at careful as they should have been. We did receive damage by they 1st set of movers as they knew new floors, DAMAGED, we have an expensive heavy executive desk that we told them to be careful heavy and expensive, DAMAGED!!. The owner did not respond to issues or concerns, We actually ended up firing them because they changed our previously scheduled time on Saturday and stated they could not do it until Monday when this had been scheduled out prior. We had to locate a new movers and before they moved anything we have to pick up so we can see condition. Took several photos of the damaged caused and sent to the company as Josh was supposed to come by to look at the damage and you guess it HE WAS A NO SHOW. We would not ever recommend this company as they did not do what they stated and refused to fix. There has been zero communication. read more

Okay, so a five is a perfect rating but frankly we did not find anything wrong with their service. They moved all our furniture up a flight of stairs, into their truck and some 20 miles to Chino Valley on a hot day and did not break anything or mar the walls we left behind. We hired Help U Move for our recent move and they far exceeded our expectatipns. Morgan and Mike helped us move last weekend. They were awesome! They arrived right on time. They were very polite and super hard working. We've had movers in the past who seemed to dawdle; maybe to draw out the time? Morgan and Mike were very fast, incredibly efficient and they both had great attitudes. This rating is mainly to catch viewers eye as I think it reflects on the actions of one employee who arrived to the storage site in a bad mood, surly and irritable and proceeded to complain about everything involved in the move. Eventually he and I went head to head about his attitude and he stormed off saying he "wasn't going to put up with this s%^t". My sister was devastated (we were moving her to Oregon) and became hysterical - begging him to stay, but he just drove off. The move had been very stressful for her and this was the final straw. We had already rented the truck and we had a tight time frame, so we were stuck. I called the owner, Kevin, and he gave me the name of a mover who, fortunately, was able to squeeze in 2 hours of time at the end of the day. Unfortunately, all my sister's boxes, tables, etc. were labelled because the pieces were going to three separate locations at the destination, but they were jumbled in the storage unit and with only two hours the movers couldn't separate them in 3 different layers in the truck. This will make the move-in much more time consuming and expensive. I liked working with Sigrid in Help U Move's office and if they remove Morgan (I think this is his name) from their employee rolls I would be happy to raise their rating even though they actually didn't complete the move. Also, evidently, Morgan has a reputation for this type of behavior and this is from a mover who has been in the business for 25 years in the Prescott area. read more
