Wow! Had the Calabrese pizza(10 inch) what a great combo, whole roasted garlic, fresh basil leaves, fresh mozzarella, on medium thick crust. Even the crust was good, slight crunch with sweet flavors. Was told 20 min. Ready when I walked in. Took over the Statesmen- very clean with a few TV's. On elm street for parking. A nice addition to downtown.

Will recommend Will return…read more when you walk in this place, this is order at counter to go or order at the counter and be seated and they will bring you your order. This is not a place where a waitress comes to your table to take your order. We are local to the area and I created a list of places that I would like to eat at and this was one of them. I had Mediterranean food once before and that was in North Carolina and this restaurant was way better. The food was hot. The food was fresh. The chicken, lamb beef and I know I'm forgetting one more but the four types of meat I had were very moist and very good. Very flavorful! proportions were great for a hungry lady after 8 1/2 hours of yardwork. I chose to do the spicy hummus and WARNING take WARNING that is very spicy. The pita bread was not stale. The staff was very friendly. I did say to them that I was willing to try anything they recommended. I was up for an adventure, and there was not much that I don't like and that's what she chose for me. The seating area was plenty. It was a little bit busy, which I was surprised to see. I just figured it wasn't going to be that busy, but it was. It seemed very family oriented. It was not loud at all. It also seemed to be clean. The chair is on the other hand they could use an upgrade. They were comfortable, but you can definitely tell by the armrest that they are used. I thought the price was also very reasonable considering

The portion size is variable. I've had it "generous" and I've had it "Whoa - that's a LOT of food". They're not covered with a standard tzatziki sauce - theirs is more feta forward. Super tasty. The fries vary as well. Sometimes a bit crunchier and sometimes, while still crunchy, more toward McD fries style. But it's just the outer surface that crunches. Inside it's smooth and creamy. Top drawer. You'll find that they tuck a few fries into the wrap. A nice touch. The only negative point is speed. I've always been there early - the first for lunch. But it still takes a fair bit of time to get the food. Arrive during the crowded time and you're definitely going to be waiting around. But ... worth it. They have a lot more on the menu and have an interesting alcohol free beer/soda that was new to me and a nice change from actual soda. Definitely worth a visit.

Most restaurants were closed already but fortunately The Gyro Spot was open until 1:30am on Saturday's. It was empty with just us and 1 other customer about 9/10pm. There seemed to be plenty of seating with dimmed lights. We got our orders pretty quickly what felt like a wait time of about 10 minutes or so. We ordered feta fries, tzatziki fries, and 4 different gyros. I got the falafel gyro and it was delicious even after bringing it back to the hotel about 15 minutes away! The gyros were all wrapped in foil. The pita bread was soft and fluffy, and the falafel and gyro itself was flavorful. I also really enjoyed their fries dipped in the tzatziki sauce. Wish we got more of it for the fries! Lol. The gyros and fries were filling and good portion sizes.

I ordered the Zeus gyro along with a side of fries. The fries came out piping hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. They were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly some of the better fries I've had in a while. A great start to the meal. The gyro itself had great flavor--the ingredients were fresh, the toppings were vibrant, and the seasoning was spot on. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm when it reached the table. The taste was good enough that I kept going, but I couldn't help but think how much better it would have been served hot. A gyro with that much potential deserves to come out at full temperature, and I was disappointed that it didn't quite get there. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the ingredients make me believe this was probably an off moment in the kitchen. I'd definitely give them another shot because the foundation is clearly solid--and when that gyro comes out hot, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. Worth a visit, and worth trying again.

Nice Italian menu with ample choice for kinds. We ordered drinks and appitizers and the service was attentive and pleasant. The restauant was COLD inside and we all had to put our coats back on. My hubs carbornara was surprsingly a small portion, and was a tad disappointed in his dish. Bathrooms were clean overall. I would return in the future.

It had a very calming slightly upscale atmosphere, we were seated quick and the waiter was amazing, just so attentive friendly and warm. We ordered garden salad Caesar salad w grilled chicken a couple meatballs and buffalo cauliflower w feta dip. Bread and oil came out right away. It was wonderful, sourdough, crispy on outside and warm and soft inside. The oil was delicious. The buffalo cauliflower was good however the outside could have been more crispy as I preferred but the taste was very good as was the dip. Salads were fresh and tasty. The chicken was grilled and had very good seasonings and plenty of of it. Caesar dressing and parm and croutons nice balance. The meatballs were big and delicious too. We were very hungry and dug in before I got to take pre dine pics of everything, these pics are already half eaten, so the portions are on point, but we really enjoyed it and would definitely come back again when in the area, we live 1.5 hours away. The bathroom was very clean as well, even though it was single stall which seemed odd for so many patrons. We had a great experience overall and enjoyed the food atmosphere, prices were fair and excellent service. There is also a nice good sized bar area off to the side w flat screens for sports etc.

I ordered the Italian sub with the everything. They assured me that my food allergy (carrots) would be a problem for my order. My Italian sub was very very good. The bell peppers on it were a surprise but a pleasant one. They added a nice crunch and sweetness to the sub. I do wish there was a little more meat on it however that is just a matter of preference. Over filling sub is definitely problematic so I don't really fault them in this. Overall I had a great sub and experience. I will keep Annula's on my list anytime I'm in Manchester.
