Since our HVAC company of nearly 20 years no longer does residential work, was left with the task of expediently engaging a new provider--something often easier said than done in this post-Covid business climate with lots of remote interactions, long wait times and equipment bottlenecks. Astacio/Sila proved more than up to the task: 1. Offered to show up for an initial diagnostic check within 24 hours 2. Managed to come to terms with me on two new heat pumps, one attic air handler/back up electric heat and one propane furnace with one conveniently scheduled, same day appointment as the service call 3. Came back for the install on the next business day (sales appt was Fri; install commenced Mon) 4. Got the job done in 2 days instead of the promised 2 1/2 5. It does not verify the information after you give it. The tech had to call us to ask us where the house was, and then we had to tell the tech to correct the email address. The tech suggested a number of things to do, all bundled with a video inspection first. I opted for just the video inspection so we could determine the issue. I informed the tech that there might be mastic in the line. He did the video inspection and informed me that the camera hit some solid at 23' and that the next step was to dig up the pipe. Which is a large, expensive project. He told us that he would send the video and proposals. Almost 1 week later we have yet to receive anything. We called back on Tuesday and repeated the corrected information and were promised we would get the copy of the video and the proposals. I called again today and was told it would be escalated for attention. I did some work on this. I used my little 25' snake and paid out all of it, past the 23' mark the tech said was the point where it was blocked. I then rented an industrial snake and a penetrating head for it from Home Depot. After paying out more than 50' of its 100' snake it hit a blockage, then penetrated it and the system drained immediately. So far the only nice thing I can say is that the technician was nice. But that's about it. They are very expensive, non responsive to issues, and missed the mark completely on what was wrong and how to fix it. I will not be doing business with them again.

That was months ago. We have tried following up MANY times, and not only have we never received the rebate, but David stopped responding to our calls. We've gotten a whole lot of run-around from the main office about getting in touch with him as well. My husband left David a final voicemail on October 30 letting him know that if he was unwilling to let us know what's going on, we'd have no other choice than to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and he never returned that call. We submitted the complaint to the BBB on November 11, and no one from the company has responded to us or the BBB complaint. We were misled on the price of the project based on the promise of a rebate we've never received. I don't even know if there was a real rebate. The only reason I'm giving a 2-star review instead of a 1-star review is because the technicians who came out and performed the work were fantastic. Still, we won't be working with this company ever again.

One day I came home to find my kitchen flooded because the pump they installed failed. They replaced it but 14 minutes later it still does not work properly. Since then have had 5 or 6 different technicians come to our home, and the issue still hasn;t been resolved. The most recent technician told us he had never even seen that type of pump before. He looked at it,walked out to to his truck to fill out paper work and never returned. He just left! Weve made countless phone calls trying to get someone to help us, but getting a response has been nearly impossible. We rarely receive return calls and our air conditioning is still not working. No customer should have to deal with repeated equipment failures, water damage, multiple service visits, and a complete lack of communication after paying for a brand new system. We expected reliable service and professional support, but instead we have been left chasing answers while living without a functioning air conditioner. I also suffer from auto immune issues and this has effected my daily day by day through the high temperatures. I cannot recommend HomeServe based on our experience. The installation, follow-up service, and customer support have all been extremely disappointing. We have an eyesore of some sort of contraption in my kitchen right now just so we have no leaks or floods .. We also had to pay $600 to have the wall fixed which they claimed they needed to open up but did nothing when they did. We found Home Serve the PSEG, they have a contract with them and even show up in on of their trucks. We thought by choosing them, it was a reputable company.
