We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures of the food. Helen's is a one stop shop with Elaine to help you with all your needs. Burgers, GOOD, French Fries, GOOD, milkshake, GOOD! 18 hours on the road today, thank you for a much needed refuel!

Stopped by here on our way to Yellowstone. Really good coffee, they bake their own bread which is delicious, service was very friendly but slow, wouldn't recommend if you're in a hurry.

My mom and I stopped here for breakfast on our way home from Cactus Pete's. I read the reviews and decided to check out this little gem. We are so glad we did! Ed was the cook and what he cooked for us was divine!!! The fresh bread, homemade jelly, biscuits and gravy, French toast, was probably the best we've ever tasted! Ed is a beautiful soul! Made our entire experience that much better. If you're passing through town looking for some amazing home cooked food, we highly recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Food was prepared hot when we ordered. The inside was tastefully eclectic and quaint. The lady was friendly and attentive to us. Food was wonderful. We ordered homemade fries, a yummy burger, homemade jam with butter toast, tasty and delicious breakfast scramble. Definitely worth the stop :)

This place is fantastic. SCRATCH cooking all the way around. Fresh oven hot bread. Scratch made to order beer pancakes. REAL EGGS. Fresh butcher sausage. We drove up from Ely, NV and had breakfast on our way north to Montana. I could sit here all day and try many things on the menu. FRESH jam - homemade. I had Salmon Dam scramble and it was exquisite. My son had pancakes and scrambled eggs and fresh sausage. Fresh salsa served with the scramble also. Not to mention - good strong - And I mean GREAT coffee. Don't wait for Jackpot if you are heading south. And go the 15 more miles up to Rogerson if you are headed north ... STOP AT HELEN's CAFE IN ROGERSON IDAHO!!

I love this place. I wish I had taken a photo of my BLT before devouring it but alas it's already in my belly. My first day here I had an amazing breakfast burrito. Anita is kind and welcoming and she tried to entice me with her wicked cinnamon rolls this morning. My waist line doesn't appreciate her audacity but my taste buds do.

Buckaroo Henry and fried pickles. My husband couldn't stop raving about it. He couldn't even finish his Burger because it was so big. Awesome food, awesome service, reasonable prices and a clean establishment. Don't pass Helen's Cafe without stopping and getting some food. Awesomeness!!

Once you tackle…read moreNV (and say hello to Jackpot NV), you're in ID and not long after is Rogerson ID, home of a super cute saloon style diner with great food called Buster's. While they're known for their finger steaks (google it), we elected to order a few other items and while my wife got a super good sandwich, I got a chili burger and it was exactly what I hoped for. The chili was great, it was a large burger patty and all in all, with the additional "Sidewinder" fries, was a great filling meal after driving and driving and driving and well, driving. For those that look at the photo and wonder just how bad for me that delicious chili burger was, may I just note in my defense that Buster's have a BLT with a full pound of bacon (!!) on the menu. While it was absolutely calling my name, I'd like to think that getting the chili burger was my twisted mind rationalizing that it was healthy...(by comparison at least). Great food, warm and friendly service--saved to bookmarks!

We were able to get our table early which was great! Our Knob Hill Manhattan cocktails were served chilled to perfection and went down nicely. We started with a couple of appetizers, scallops and foie gras. The scallops were ok but the foie gras was the winner. What a combination of flavors! My mouth was very happy. We were seated at a table next to the window and in front of the fire place. A very nice table indeed. The restaurant is very cozy with great ambiance and I never felt that it was too loud and the service was great. Dinner for me was the Colorado Bass, cooked nicely with a crunchy skin. My friend had the pappardelle bolognese. I had a bite of that and it was delicious! Dessert though....Amaro Affogato. (Fun to say and defined: Bitter Drowned) A great way to end the meal. Get it.

Jerome is a bit away from Boise so I wanted to us my time wisely. I have to see what this cool little town offered. I had researched local restaurants and coffee joints in the area before heading to Jerome. Renew had quite a few great reviews and after talking to the receptionist at St. Luke's, he suggested Renew well. I took that as a solid recommendation and made my friend drive me there. My friend and I walked in and were immediately greeted by 4 people behind the counter. I appreciate a staff that is so friendly to their customers! The venue is this joint is huge! There's pool tables, a lot of available seating, a kids area and a stage for local talent to perform. I can imagine this place being a sweet spot to hang out on the weekends. Grab a drink or an ice cream and enjoy your night. My friend and I decided to just order a couple drinks and absorb the vibe. There were plenty of baked goodies that were calling our names but we held off. The cinnamon roll they had on display was massive. There was plenty of frosting on that baby and I would have eaten the whole thing without any guilt. I was so tempted to get it but I knew it would ruin my lunch. I snagged an iced americano with sugar free white chocolate and cream. My friend got a hot mocha with a couple extra shots of espresso. I did ask for my drink to be a hair sweeter. I looking forward to my first caffeinated beverage of the day. My drink did not disappoint. It was so good! The espresso wasn't bitter, plenty of cream and the sweetness level was perfection. We sat and chilled. There were locals having lunch. Other locals enjoying each other's company and coffee. Its just an all around great space to be. I'm happy I got to check out this local coffee joint. I can see why a lot of people recommend and speak highly of it. If I'm ever on the road and need a cup of coffee, I will be making a pit stop to Renew for that drink. I know it's going to be good.
