There's also classes for littles but register in advance because they do fill up. They also have tons of things to do throughout the month and a cute brochure to take home so you know what's happening when. Highly recommend (even if you're not a local and just stopping by).

Why did you make a big deal about it anyways. She was elderly!! She said not once but three times she couldn't walk that far. I bought a few books but I'm honestly rethinking going to another one in the future if this is how your employees act. Your piney woods festival was a joke and has been for awhile. Digital checkouts are available along with books, including various DVDs, Blu-rays, video games (newer consoles included) and ebooks. There's even a computer lab available for use for those needing to use those services. The library staff is extremely friendly, and the location is conveniently close to Hwys 31 and 52 in Pelham, without the challenges of traffic fights to get there. I moved to Jefferson County so I can no longer take out books, but I still go to buy some books and look at this gorgeous corner where you can just sit in the super comfy chair and read. It's very quiet here in this section. There's also a very short nature walk in behind the library. There's not too much literary fiction or highbrow stuff here but a lot of very popular authors. They do the best they can with the money they get from the county. And that isn't much.:(

There's some great study tables upstairs. Spots to sit alone, collaborative tables, some couches/chairs, and even some separate rooms you can rent out. So I am a little biased as an alumni (graduating class none your business because I am old) but I…read morelove Samford. Last Sunday I was on campus at Brock Hall for my daughters piano recital. The facilities all over campus are well kept and beautiful. The staff and teachers are always helpful if you need anything. Brock Hall is beautiful with the high ceilings and grand piano on center stage. Samford has many different areas to study. While many study liberal arts such as music, I graduated with my doctorate of pharmacy degree. Samford also hosts many events so come visit when you can.

Despite great professors and decent academics, Samford is a dumpster fire. They have admitted way…read moretoo many students to the point that simply walking from one building to another as become a free-for-all where everyone has to push and shove past each other. Additionally, there no longer seems to much standards of who they accept into the college. No ACT or SAT scores are needed, and not even a minimum GPA is required. As a result, recent years have seen a drastic increase in students who are not prepared for college and many who have not yet outgrown their high school mentality. In short, Samford has chosen quantity over quality. They are currently far more concerned with making money than they are with the well-being of their students, faculty, and academics. I do not recommend this university at this time.

I also noticed a dedicated tutoring section, which was such a nice touch. It's clear this library really prioritizes community support and learning at all levels. I loved my experience here and will absolutely be back before I leave Birmingham.

The agent was helpful and it took me about five minutes to get my new card. They also have passport services available at this location. So if you are in need of a passport, I recommend visiting the Central location, as they thoroughly explain the services to you. The staff is always so courteous and they have a nice bookstore that offers books for cheap. I have been able to find newer books there too. I highly recommend this location to help with various needs, ranging from book checkout, internet services, and passport services.
