Located in the InterContinental Hotel, the prices reflect. An 80 minute massage with a customary high end tip of 15% came out to about $2400 MXN, or $125 US.
The massage itself was very good hence the 15% tip though the bed was not the most comfortable. I'm 6'1 and my head barely fit in the insert so when I didn't want my windpipe getting crushed I had to move my head up so that my eyes were pressed against the pillow. When I got tired of that I shifted down to let my windpipe get crushed again. And I went back and forth like that for the full 80 minutes so I never truly felt relaxed.
I also wasn't a fan of the two hairs I had to pluck off the bed before I got under the covers. Who knows what was underneath. I didn't dare bother to look after what I saw out in plain view.
The jacuzzi to start was relaxing and the complementary tea was a nice touch but the Jamaica water upon completion sucked.
I wish the locker room had a steam room or a sauna to finish the job before my shower but no dice. read more
