A week before I had to reschedule and was able to quickly contact them through WhatsApp to find a better time. Check-in was quick and although the ladies didn't speak much English, everything was great and my skin felt clean, hydrated and radiant at the end. You also get a nice scalp massage and facial massage during the facial and tea at the end. Overall a really nice experience and break in the busy city. Would recommend Desértika and they have several locations in Condesa, Polanco and other popular areas.

We pretty easily found the location thanks to the neon green SPA sign affixed to the wall - stylish and helpful! Upon arriving, our services are started on time and neither of us had any complaints. My massage therapist was a bit of a talker which I didn't mind (I'm also sure I could have asked for less or communication if I desired) and I was very relaxed throughout, nearly dozing off a couple times including during the facial. Once we wrapped up, they provided us with hot tea and we oriented ourselves comfortably in the lobby before exiting. We meant to revisit at least one more time before leaving CDMX but it didn't work out. Next time though!

I made a 10 am appointment for a pedi and mani relajante, with gelish upgrade on my nails. At 10:10 am I was sitting outside waiting for them to open. I was a bit peeved they were late, but when they showed up moments later to open up, I immediately forgot my frustrations and knew I was in good hands. The space is small and tranquil with 4 or 5 pedi chairs. No music or anything, which I personally enjoyed because it was so quiet and calm. I picked out my Essie colors (good selection of both regular and gelish colors) and settled into a spa chair. One esthetician worked on my toes and one on my hands- love that because it is such an efficient use of time. They were both gentle but meticulous, and I left 80 minutes later completely blissed out with flawless nails. For 850 pesos, I was happy with both the experience and the results at almaviva. Definitely recommend!

People are very nice and one lady speaks English which is a big plus for non-Spanish speakers. This is my first time getting them done in Mexico so I'm not sure if this is average quality or it's because yelp isn't really popular here. I got gel mani done and they didn't have many colors to choose from. Got some air bubbles and thickness isn't consistent. Little rough on cleaning cuticles. For pedicure, the lady couldn't do the French tip right so I changed to the full color. But it seems like they don't charge extra for french tip. They don't have free disposable Flipflops ready so I had to leave with my shoes. Experience wasn't bad but I am not sure how clean they are with their tools. Some one them didn't seem to be sanitized often. Idk. Maybe I could be wrong. Total was 880 including gel removing service and reapply gel colors so price wasn't too bad.
