Dr Erica Leigh seemed very attentive and caring to our newborn daughter, however, after being prescribed a very important medication, the pharmacy never received the prescription. The Dr's office has been contacted repeatedly, even directly from the pharmacy, and the staff is incapable of resolving this problem and are unwilling to allow us to speak with the Dr. This is gross negligence, very unprofessional and extremely rude. I don't know what else to do besides contact and file complaints with the California Association for Medical Doctors, my health insurance provider, and find another Dr for our baby. I cannot recommend this medical group based on my brief experience. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

(FURIOUS) I've been to the office about 6 times and 5 times had a crazy wait. Today IS THE LAST TIME! Learn how to treat your patients. Learn how to, at the very least, APOLOGIZE for making sick kids and newborns wait over an hr!!!! I don't know why I expected anything better from a Richmond office. I scheduled a new patient appointment and over the phone everything seemed fine. The day of the appointment I arrived on time, after filling out the paper work it took them maybe 10 mins to bring me back which wasn't bad. However I noticed that the place seemed very messy. Not clean and very disorganized. The medical assistant brought us back and pinched my daughter's finger for the iron check, got her weight and height, and then sat us in a room. 35 minutes later another assistant comes in to tell me the doctor was not even in the office! She tells me that he is on his way and that he had to release a newborn from the hospital and that he forgot to tell them. I had two main concerns at this point: 1) How did THE doctor forget to tell his staff knowing he has appointments?! 2) Why is the office they are they running so messy and unclean? This assistant offered me to keep waiting another 20-30 minutes, and I declined. I would never come back. Such a bad experience in this place. Please do your research and find another office with nicer and cleaner staff too. Other offices do a better job at giving updates as well!

If you are in that kind of bad shape you better get a move on to Kaiser Richmond or Kaiser Vallejo. I have been going here for decades and have never had a bad experience with one of their doctors. Well there was that one lady doctor who wouldn't give me a note to tell my boss lady to quit bullying me. That doctor is gone now so you won't get her. So is that boss lady. When I was younger I used to use this spot to look for dates. After I scored a few times I wised up. Most the chicks you meet here have too many "issues" , if you know what I mean. Real high maintenance types. If you live in the area and are a Kaiser person you could do a lot worse than Kaiser Pinole. My personal doctor, Dr Thang, has always been thoughtful and very caring. She said it would take 3 days and I gave her a week and still it wasn't ready. She even argued and got loud at me when she promised to have a record by a certain time and I just asked politely why wasn't it ready because It was promised at this specific time and its 30 minutes after and its still not ready. She went all nuts and started yelling and refused service to me and said she would mail it. Forget that I spoke to Dr. Enz directly and he made sure I got it. And even at that she was still mouthing off. And sadly the patient care. Dr. Enz by all means is extremely nice but when I moved to a different pediatrician I found out he neglected my sons care. For example. My first trip to my new pediatrician for my son's was amazing. She found out that my eldest son had wax build up and pulled out from both ears some disgusting ear wax the size of a small puzzle piece. She stated it was from years of wax build up because we were using qtips. And we should just wash out his ears from now on. Years? Really? Dr. Enz said everything was fine when he check his ears. I brought up my concern that my son right ear was bothering him and he checked and said everything was ok. But obviously not. PARENTS BEWARE!!!

This morning at East Bay Ophthalmology I walked in for my scheduled appointment and was asked to…read moregive permission for them to keep a credit or debit card number on file. They told me it was now a requirement of all of their patients. I was there for a follow up exam and not expecting to make financial privacy decisions on the spot. I asked if I could pay the copay see the Dr. and make up my mind after and the answer was no. I didn't even know if it was legal for them to do this. Well, it is. Still I am not willing to leave vital credit info at an establishment where I have been continuously a good customer. Dr Scott Lee performed an extremely delicate surgery on my eye magnificently. My lens was knocked off of its supports upon a bow to my eye. It took 2 years for the pressure the become low enough to do the surgery. Dr. Lee did all of the pre examinations and prescribing as well as replace the lens with a new one. I went from 100% blind to vision again. Dr. Pyun has been my Dr. for a f0ur or five years now and I'm very confident in his abilities. He has an amazing demeanor and is quite thourough. I don't want to switch. I would feel much different if I had been informed ahead of the appointment so I could decide how to do this. There are so many breaches that affect all credit holders and having that kind of information in some server isn't safe. It seems that as a safety measure to insure payment enforcing this technique on patients with a history of non payment and even new patients when they sign up would make sense, but long term patients with an excellent track record and insurance... ? With some thought I've decided to get a debit or prepaid credit card to use for this type of nonsense. I will only transfer into it what is needed for each transaction. I urge East Bay Ophthalmology contact patients with upcoming appointments rather than spring this on them at the counter. I urge all of you who encounter this to follow my lead. It will add a high level of protection to your financial privacy. This encounter put a scar on the high opinion I have of this group. I still believe they are among the best people and facilities in the field. It is my opinion that this was not thought through for the benefit of the patients/customers that rely on these services.
