I find Dr Cadang a very caring doctor and is always on top off what is going on with me that I find absolutely amazing. True I sometimes had to wait for my appointment but that is something a doctor often can not help. You don't know how sick the patient is ahead of you is. May need that time to really help a sick person. As for the staff, I find if you treat them with respect they will treat you with respect. It is hard to be polite to someone who is rude to you you. I have been very happy with both Dr. Cadang and his wife Dr Esobar over the past 5 years I have been going to them. read more

Take my word for it, or find out on your own, either way it's unfair and amazing how inefficient and lack of compassion they have for the urgency of the patients and families needs. I been going to this office since 2002 when it use to be located in Creekside Shopping Center. I can't complain about the service that I got from both Dr. Cadang and Dr. Escalada. I will say the wait can be long but I figure out a system not to be bored (get there 15 minutes before appointment time just to get seen on time). I manage to get an appointment right away which can be also a problem getting. Having patience when calling for an appointment is the only way. Another alternative is to go in the office in person to set up an appointment with the doctor. Yes that it is hard to see a doctor right away but it is not because they are short staff but also with a lot of patients that they have now compare to early 2000s. If I did not have Dr. Cadang and Dr. Escalada as my doctors I do not know what would happen to me. They have diagnose me properly and I do not know what I would do without them. I have seen people come and go from seeing them. I can not blame people if they have move away from Hercules but I have seen lots and lots of people that have work with them or seen them for their appointment. DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place has very bad service to their patient! I have an appointment at 10:30am and it took me 45 minutes to help me. I was upset and talk to Dr. Cadang why i have to wait that long and he told me that if i can't work with his hours and can't wait for him on my appointment i can always find a new doctor. VERY RUDE!!!! Anyway i'm not going back on that place anymore and there is so many nicer Doctor and places that i can go that i don't have to wait for very long time. This is the worst clinic! Do not attend! My father is 86 yr old man who needed a follow up after a hospital discharge to continue nursing at home. They gave him an appointment and canceled 6 min before it started. It was an urgent appt and they said because he's not going to permanent patient for a year they cannot see him. Don't doctors take an Oath?? They were going to get paid for the visit by the insurance. Then Alexis the front desk girl stated that they needed his medical records and has no idea how we even got an appointment. Yet they emailed me the new patient paperwork and still she has no idea. Honestly, I have to agree with the previous reviews on here. I recently established care with Dr. E. Although she is an OK doc, I am not willing to deal with her staff any longer. I've left messages after messages and no one returns my calls. Poor communication between staff. Staff is very rude, and unprofessional. Today, one of them hung up on me! The entire staff needs a refresher course on interpersonal communications and maybe even a business course because they obviously do not know how to run a business. Why am I dealing with this? it's been several years since i've been a patient here but i could never get a same day appointment. Wait times were really long. One thing I didn't like is that I had to make an appointment to view my lab results. Even if I didn't want to discuss them, just view them, I had to make an appointment and pay another dayam copay just so I could see them. In the state of CA your doctor CANNOT withhold medical records from you, so had I known back then, I could have just refused. But now I know better. The whole same day appointment thing really bothers me. If I am sick today why is the earliest appointment two days from now? That just doesn't make any sense. I'm with Kaiser now and even though I don't always have the best experience with them, it's still better than here. My parents picked them because they are Filipino. They seem to like that their doctors are filipino, but, for me, it doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm seen when I need to be seen. read more

Other than the staff being short and not calling back there is a serious issue with Dr. Cadang. I rolled my ankle late last year and was almost certain that it was NOT broken/fractured. I called him as my PCP to give me a referral to the radiology department to make sure and get a clear x-ray to return to work. After mentioning I was mostly certain it was not broken and NOT an emergency, he wasn't able to take my call but instead had his staff send me to the emergency room. I reiterated that it was not an emergency but was instructed to go there anyway. Keep in mind this was two days after the incident where my ankle was twisted. I show up to the ER and told them it was no an emergency and it had happened two days prior. I drove myself there and walked in unassisted. Sore but OK. After my x-ray and split I was sent home to ice and take Ibuprofen. Less than a few weeks later, I got the bill for $1600!!! When I inquired I was told that I should not have gone to the ER because it's not covered. They said that all I needed was a referral by the doctor and I would have been fine and seen in the radiology department instead of the ER. $100 deductible in that case. When I confronted Dr. Cadang and his staff about this, they said that they thought it was an emergency and that I needed ER care. This was over the phone and he never even saw me or discussed options, billing, insurance, etc... I have had to retain an attorney just to get them to get my money back. If it doesn't get paid, they file a collection against you!! How does this happen? How can a doctor be too lazy to send you to the right department with a referral, costing me $1500 more and not even trying to make it right? This guy is as shady as they come and not worth the time of day. I gave him another chance to make it right even though I have been dealing with this for 7 months now. He refused with an attitude and will ultimately find out that it was a much bigger mistake than it was sending me to the ER without a second thought. Yelp is only the first step of many to come. Get ready doc, this may take a while but you will be well known in your area for how you "treat" people. If you are a potential or current patient, get away while you can. If you don't believe the reviews on this site, try reading the patient waiver that is in his office. There are at least 20 grammatical and spelling errors on the first two pages. Wife got an appointment at 9:30AM, I drove her there around 9:20 AM. It was already around 11:30AM and she was still at the receiving area, she said there were still 2 patients ahead of her. What is wrong with this clinic? They have no respect on other people's time, very unprofessional and this wasn't the first time for her to wait for more than an hour and it happened to me too several times...but waiting for more than 2 hrs? My wife said they even let a patient who arrived later to go ahead of her and 2 more people because she was complaining...wtf? I told the wife to get out of there, get her co-pay refund and that will be her last time to ever set foot again on that clinic. They just lost a family of 3 and I bet they will lose a lot more. Dr. Escalada has been our doctor since 2006 and Dr. Cadang for my son and husband. I've been seen by several doctor and we moved to different city but we all agreed to stay with them. They're the best doctor we ever had. They're very thorough and we are confident whenever we see them that our problem will be addressed. They're very thorough with annual and physical and will really take time to explain your condition and take care of every issue you have. We don't mind traveling to see them because we are confident they will address all our concern. They're knowledgeable and you will feel you're heard. We are lucky to have them. Took out my kids from their care because of the long hour of wait. Not a kid friendly clinic were kids can hang out & play while waiting. Plus, the doctor misdiagnosed sometime. Husband was given antibiotic, went to another specialist, turn out that it's just a simple diagnosis that don't need antibiotic. One time when you are asking Dr. C regarding your case,just need clarification, he would tell you he's not going to argue with you & yet you are just simply asking about your health. And it's your health that we are talking about here. Maybe he cant find a real answer for it, that's why.... I mean not maybe but for sure. Even they don't have so much patient, still it will took them a long time to call you in plus another wait inside the room that has no windows, has TV but always off, maybe just for display purpose.If you are claustrophobic, being stuck inside for a long time is a worst nightmare. read more

Hellooo I have been a patient of Dr. E in the last five years and it's really time to switch. I also have PPO so I don't need to deal with their crap! Dr. E is a good doctor because she takes her time in discussing things with you, but her staff are so unprofessional. I hope she knows this and give them some type of warning or let them take a course in how to deal with clients. Completely agree with Patricia. Very rude and incompetent staff. the doctors as well as the staff do not reply to messages and take days to get back to you on even urgent matters. The doctor (Escalada) has her staff call you to tell you results of your test, and they have no idea what they are talking about. It seems sometimes that the office is run by a family and they are always covering for each other. Very unprofessional and under trained staff. Much happier with my sons new peditrician. This office takes advantage of the people in the community especially the elderly. They also take advantage of the fact the office speaks Tagalog and most of the Filipino people who live in the area trust this doctor! Unfortunately, he is a fraud and I have reported him to the medical board. He told me after one visit that because my bones hurt, I have bone cancer and I need additional test. I was not convinced so I went for a second opinion and the result was I just had a baby and my body was in need of supplements. He prescribed my grandmother medication that conflicted with her current ailments and her current medication. I researched all of the medication he prescribed to her and I wrote a long letter to Dr. Cadang stating why she couldn't take the medication. He never called me back; I had to call the ER doctor on call to ask what she could and could not take. The ER doctor said what medicine she is currently taking landed her in the ER because they were conflicting. Even on the bottle of a medicine, it said "Do not take if you have asthma" My grandmother has had asthma for over 20 years; he is the one that diagnosed and gave her an inhaler. He knows the situation and to get his help asking for a prescription so Medi-Care could approve some home items was near impossible. Every time I called to ask the status of the prescription, I had to reiterate the story again to a new staff. They argued with me that the clinic needed to fax them a form while I called the clinic and they said no you need to bring in a prescription. It was so much back and forth, they are unhelpful and rude. Dr. Cadang called at 9pm at to tell my aunt to rush my grandmother to the ER, when she told him she didn't drive and there was no one to take her he said to not call 911. I called to speak with him several times and he never called, it was the staff who called back for him. They told me they could not speak to me because I was not the point of contact. They reason why they didn't want to speak with me was because I was bringing up valid points and he didn't want to address them. After I called to voice my concerns regarding the care him and his staff has given my family, they dropped my 94 year old grandmother as a patient! Stay clear of this doctor...please. read more

I thought I was the only one who noticed how rude and unprofessional the front desk staff is. I have left 3 messages in the last two months stating i really need to get in and be seen so please call me back and they haven't called me. So then I proceeded to call and leave a really mean but professional message that they better call me back or i'm switching to a different doctor and still nothing. So today I called to tell them I need them to refer me to a specialist that they referred me to two years ago and i never had the time to make an appointment. However, she told me I HAD to come in for exam. Which makes no sense because when I make an appointment for an exam the doctor cant do anything for me she cant do any X-rays or anything that would help me she can only refer me to someone who can and she could have done that over the phone. I suggest that anyone looking for a new doctor DO NOT GO TO SYCAMORE MEDICAL GROUP. read more
