Interacting with Roxana for scheduling was easy and they were reliable with their promised schedule. More importantly, they were over-the-top helpful when we discovered that we chose the wrong color for the stain of our front deck. Without any difficulty, they came back and changed the color. We have remodeled many homes and very much appreciate contractors that come back when something is not right. Thank you so much!

He took the time to meet me before painting and assured me it would turn out great. What sticks out the most about working with CJ is his communication. Since our cabin is our vacation home, he texted and called numerous times to communicate progress and share pictures. The house looks amazing. His son, Achillies is also someone to mention. He came back to our house and helped with some work as well. Again, CJ's communication was on point. I can't recommend him enough!

(We selected Armstrong-Clark's semi-transparent Sierra Redwood oil-based stain on the 26-year-old cedar siding, which we had used on the previous re-staining job 18 years ago.)

We hired Calaveras Paint Pro to paint our cabin in Arnold around May/June last year. Their quote…read morespecifically stated that the walls would be properly prepared before painting. That preparation was not done properly, and the job was completed very quickly. Within about a year, the paint started peeling in multiple areas. The deck paint also wore off, and we had to repaint the deck ourselves. I reached out to the company about the peeling paint and the quality of the work, but I received no response. We are extremely disappointed with the quality of the work. We paid for proper preparation and a durable paint job, and that is not what we received. Because we are not local, we relied on them to do the work correctly without us being there to supervise. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. We would not hire this company again.

We hired Casey from CB Home to install a skylight at our Blue Lake Springs cabin and the outcome…read morewas a complete failure. Casey made the work appear professional at first, but during the very first storm after installation, the skylight leaked so badly that water was pouring into the house. The situation was severe enough that our paying guests stated the home was unusable and checked out early because of the amount of water coming in. We immediately sent a licensed roofer to inspect the work. The roofer took photos and confirmed the skylight was installed incorrectly and not properly sealed at all. Basic, standard waterproofing steps were skipped entirely. This was not a materials issue. It was poor workmanship. We contacted Casey multiple times with the documentation and the urgency of the situation. He did not respond, did not offer to fix the problem, and took zero responsibility. He simply avoided us. No follow up. No accountability. Completely unprofessional behavior. This caused us lost rental income, additional repair costs, and unnecessary stress. Between the failed installation and the way he disappeared afterward, this felt like dealing with a rookie amateur rather than a professional contractor. Based on our experience, do not use Casey from CB Home. We are including photos of the installation to document the quality of his work.
