It was so informative and FUN! We learned the Highs and Lows and Cross decorating techniques that are so unique to her design. Go BIg, then Bigger!! We were challenged in teams to deocrate a table of our own there in the store using store "Stuff" - Such fun, we competed finding little ducks for prizes and of course there were snacks and drinks!! I learned alot, met some new friends, and I think I may be going home with a new BIG coffee table. Their staff was friendly, helpful and there is so much new stuff in the store , ya just gotta see it! I hope One Swanky continues these learning opportunities because decorating our homes is something we all enjoy. Thanks Debbie and your entire team for a great afternoon!

At first, based on its name, I thought it was one of those romantic shops if you know what I mean, but it isn't. Obviously, I didn't know the meaning of "swanky". Per Google, swanky means "stylishly luxurious and expensive... and One Swanky Shop is a mixture of design consultation and home décor boutique." Oh, it's an elegant furniture shop... it must be pretty inside! I didn't drive over to check it out, but I did take a picture of its outside... and its outside does look swanky LOL. Anyway, if you happen to be in the area, swing on by, peruse the place, take pictures, and post them on Yelp! I want to see what's inside. Happy Swanking! LOL

Some items are spendy, but if you look around, you can find some good affordable things. Quite a bit of unique furniture out back, lots of live edge wood type offerings, some are pretty good bargains if you've priced this type of furniture other tourist spots (Gruene/Fredericksburg). Even if you're not looking for anything in particular, worth a stop just to look around. Bonus points for friendly animals, dog inside, and a super friendly cat out back.

The prices of these pots will shock you. Expensive! Honestly, it's my fault for not bargain shopping locally because Pottery Ranch immediately came to mind. I impulsively bought a pot. It is 19 in. tall and 17 in. diameter and it's beautiful, but it was $150. Two weeks later, I'm at a Ross shopping with a friend and find a pot (same size) for $50. Both pots were clay and both made in Vietnam. Pottery Ranch had a lot of cool stuff and they offer military a break on taxes, but shop around if you're in the market for pots.
